Soccer is my current favorite sport in person. Supporters sections are insane in the best kind of way. Hockey is probably my second favorite as of right now, but the local team doesn't have the same kind of fanbase that I've seen a lot of other teams with, hopefully it picks up some because the games are a lot of fun. I want to get to an NHL game sometime, but I'd have to make a trip out to Chicago or Columbus for them.
Soccer's up there if you get that atmosphere. Here it's kinda meh on the supporter's section. When Seatlle was first announced and when they signed my favorite goalkeeper I decided to start following them. Now there is fan support for you. they averaged 44,000 people this past season, and they stand and sing the whole game. Not to mention the march to the match which is incredible.

NHL hockey is the best with the right team. Even though Colorado has only been around since 1996, We have two championships. 5 guys in the hall of fame, and quite the history for such a short time. Playoff hockey is unreal and a must attend event for anyone if they get a chance!

Don't act like they were an expansion team. The Nordiques had the best record in the East, I think, the season before they moved to Colorado.

9.5 million people downloaded the battlefront beta across PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Insane numbers. I wonder how many people actually booted it up though, and how many they had on the servers at once. They'll probably never release the numbers, but its still interesting to think about. They'll probably have a bunch of this info available after launch though. Definitely interested in seeing how it does in comparison to Halo 5, CoD, and R6 over the holidays.

They could not do what they do without both of them I think. Just like the 49ers wouldn't have been what they were without Montana and Walsh. The game plans they come up with almost always seem to work even when it goes against conventional wisdom on what you would expect to work against a given team. They seem to be playing chess when everyone else is playing checkers. It seems like you have to have a severe advantage when it comes to personnel to beat them.
Absolutely they make both better but without the QB the coach will never be a genius. And Brady plays well whether he has hall of famers or not. I just see Brady do things with his team that I never see anyone else do ever. He thinks on his feet so well and makes up plays mid game all the time to take advantage of the D. He wills his teammates around him to play better too.

The more I see of London the more impressed I am.  The game doesnt run at 30 fps all that often but it hasnt chugged yet and there is a shit ton going on especially on the river Thames.  The atmosphere is great.

But yeah its the same old Ass Creed so if you hated it before you would hate it now.  Combat is slightly faster paced but thats about it.  I do have to say though that they always have quality voice acting in these games.  The people play their parts with enthusiasm.

I kind of forgot to mention I went back to RE: Revelations 2 on the Vita. They supposedly fixed the bug where you'd get attacked as the game was loading. Overall so far I'm not liking it as much as I did the first Revelations. I feel like the zombies can be bullet sponges for the most part and the aiming either isn't accurate enough or the zombies zag too much to allow for consistent headshots. You'd think ok better AI but it's annoying when they limit your ammo. It's no RE4. I want that shotgun to zombie head satisfaction.

The thing is it kind of goes in between what should be more atmospheric missions and then to more shooting heavy missions but the atmospheric missions have shooting sections that just get annoying due to lack of ammo, too many zombies for an area, or just seem off. I ended up doing one section on the PSTV so I could use a Dual Shock 3 instead of the Vita's controls. Didn't think I'd ever have to do that and I'm still not sure I needed to but I did finish that area quicker that way.

It's also a hard game to see when it's sunny outside even on Max Brightness. An RE4 port to Vita would be cool...and even though the RE controls have come a long way this game still feels a bit clunky.

these dengeki bunko challenge trophies are a pain in the ass.  I finally got the score one, but I think I need a new strategy for time attack (I always end up at 8'30" instead of 8') and survival (always lose at match 11 out of 15).  it helps with the grinding 10m damage at least, but I wouldn't mind beating at least one of the two this year.

I guess I chose the wrong building, because I tried to do that on one attempt and the Skulls kept getting right next to the building so I couldn't headshot them.
youtube video showed a guy running to a different building than the first one by the helicopter. He also used grenades when he couldn't shoot them.

I used the first building (hangar) right next to the helicopter. Vig, thats why I brought Quiet. You can post her on either the mountain outside or the tower inside the airport and reposition her as necessary when they move. She can practically always hit them when you can't.

Seriously, though, Guacamelee reminds me a lot of Dust. I think maybe I could exclusively play this type of game forever and be happy.
Metroidvanias are fantastic. Definitely hop on Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night when it eventually releases, it's going to be the best one since Symphony.

Yeah, that explains it. For some reason, I forgot to take her off the tranq sniper rifle once I realized it didn't matter if she killed any of the puppet soldiers, plus I climbed the multi-story building near the AA radar and not the hangar.

I'll probably quit before I get to most of the challenge trophies. Game is fun so far though, I'm just not very good at it. I keep getting my ass kicked by Shizuo in the arcade story mode. Haven't been very successful in dodging the attack where he chucks dumpsters at you.

I've actually been enjoying the new DBZ 3DS game that just came out. It reminds me how much I prefer the 2D Dragonball fighters to the 3D. I really wish this was a console release.

To kind of circle back to our trophy hacking discussion, the Korean version of this game left in the debug code. You can apparently get the plat in like 1 minute by using it.

ETA: Gamefly already has the US version listed as an option to rent.
At least one person on the Import website is saying the debug trophy mode were you can auto-pop the entire plat in under a minute is there on the US Vita version of Corpse Party Blood Drive too. If any of you guys that bought it want to try it out, I can point you to a guide.

Word of warning, I am not sure that one is white-listed like the Korean one and PSNP might flag you if you did it.

What other decent MetroidVainias are out there?

Guacamelle has too much of a focus on platforming for me. Those sections where you have to time your jumps while switching between life and death worlds are mucho frustratingo.

La Mulana has a great sense of exploration, but the puzzles are far too esoteric to figure out.

Need something in between the two.

Arkham Origins: Blackgate maybe

Guacamelee was awesome, but I only finished it on PS4. Seemed a bit easier on there, though still challenging.

And by "finished" I don't mean the plat.

Axiom Verge was excellent. I also really enjoyed xeodrifter, and its pretty short. Shantae wasn't my favorite at all, and I'm not a fan of Blackgate overall.

I thought Xeodrifter was too plain and boring.  It was okay.   I want to play Axiom Verge just because of the music.  Sounded great and thumpy.

I never got around to it. Once I heard there was no single player and a $50 season pass my interest seriously dropped.

I'll 2nd Arkham Blackgate...thought it was fun. The mapped sucked but it just took me back to a simpler time when we didn't have a fuck ing baby map pinpointing everything for us and we had to fuck ing find shit out for ourselves. But the map did suck.

Apparently even though the game wants you to make Evie more of a stealth player she will have to brawl eventually.  So you need to upgrade her fighting skills or you might get stuck in a sequence taking longer than you should.  Sequence 5.

After the Beta I was more hyped (generally hate 1st person games\shooters) but after hearing that season pass bullshit I'll just pick it up when it hits $20-$30 with everything and then just play the single player horde mission stuff.

Assuming anyone is play in a year maybe I will grab the GOTY version as you said for $20-$30. $50 season pass fuck that noise.

I'm not too worried about either of those things, I don't usually end up playing much of the single player in these kinds of games, and I've usually had my fill of the multiplayer before anything from the season pass ends up releasing. I'll buy it, get run over by X-wings as darth vader for a while, enjoy it, and trade it back in a few weeks later with little chance of buyers remorse. If the season pass stuff gets announced and I'm actually interested in it for once then I'd consider keeping the game and grabbing the pass, but the price isn't something I really see as a reason to skip the game entirely.

Made it to Safe Haven. Vig got in an argument with me and stormed off barely 100 miles into the journey. Zimm sneezed acid snot on some scrap making it unusable. Mild is apparently tubby in the Organ Trail-verse since he kept hiding food and then sat on a tire and broke it.

thanks for the heads up. I usually take her to do gang strongholds and child labor warehouses since I upgraded all her stealth. then they play a lot like batman stealth areas - zipline from building to building then silent drop behind someone, assassinate+move+whistle or whatever to toy with them and zip back up. but whenever I screw up it takes a thousand hits to kill someone - I don't think I've bought any weapons yet and I'm level 6 xp-wise. guess I need to pony up before I finish sequence 4.

That's a good point. Maybe I'll get it with my Dell Gift Cards and then trade it in, in a few weeks or sell it off.
