So at 6 AM CST Ubisoft pulled the life support on the beloved Division's servers... It was a deeply moving experience.
Daykain, Y, and I (That's three people, ezelkow1
), grouped up for some more DZ action and our severs were much more active... We had a massive server wide manhunt for a group of 4 rogues that where hiding out on the roof of a building, with like 3 entry points via rope repel, I didn't get the kill shot on any of them (and got downed on the first attempt that saw one of them die... but it was a rather interesting experience. (And I'm glad we got to experience it... Though I think it was pretty common DZ experience for Daykain.)
After that allot of people called it a night, with Y soon following suit. Daykain has awesome gear, I have good to decent gear, but with only two of us that group of 4 had no trouble running over us so I left for the campaign world as I wanted to check those vendors one more time... They had crap but considering one of the two guns (and my primary) I got via campaign vendors it was worth checking out as the DZ vendors had one truly good item for me the entire beta.
Which is one of the issues this beta has that I'm not expecting to be a problem in the final build. With the short levels, no trading (which I actually agree with), and no crafting(!), one is really at the mercy of the RNG gods.... but with more levels, and more time to get to max, the drops shouldn't be as punishing.
Anyhow after that Daykain left and I hung out on the sever running the Madison Square Garden/Hospital mission alone... and actually got a serious upgrade to my main weapon when a SCAR-L dropped. So in the end I was running a SCAR-H (Marksmen Rifle), and a SCAR-L (Assault Rifle).
Anyhow, as time came close to experiencing I looked for a good shot to take a pic... I had a better one lined up but felt I had more time to look for something better only to not quite have the position and angle I had before. Also the weather didn't cooperate as it was a clear night and not the blizzard conditions I was hoping for.
