If the Windows Store will have good exclusives, people will buy. Just like Origin and Uplay.

Looking forward to Scalebound and Dead Rising 4 :)
Origin and Uplay have two companies who at least know what the hell they're doing.

Microsoft tried multiple times to get their store up, but they fucked it up every time. Few people want to take another chance on them again. Their PC install base will be propped up by console users who will never touch the PC game at all.

Or so I heard. Not like there's a F2P dragon battle/breeding game that I play every day on there or anything.

Very true. GFWL was an unfortunate piece of shit. I guess we will have to wait and see.

I have really high hopes after playing Killer Instinct on PC (which has run great so far) and seeing these xbox one exclusives coming to Windows 10. Looks like they are at least "trying" to do things right

Nice to see Dead Rising 4 with Frank.  But, guys... GUIS... BUYZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!  You missed the most important announcement:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JMJFyXuGUw

500 hours playtime incoming.

Skyrim barely looks any better than the version I currently have with modded textures. I'm sure the console folks will appreciate it not looking like garbage though.

I suppose it'll still have the same lousy Civil War plotline the old game had. It felt very unfulfilling, no matter which side you picked.  (don't get the wrong idea, I loved the game, just not that particular quest line)

I don't think you guys knows what cringeworthy means.  Check out Minecraft and Sea of Thieves segment from Microsoft conference. *shudders*

Don't get me started on John Carmack showing up for them with the VR.

Free Steam Games:

Pickers - FKH2V-43DX3-RDQ4H

Samantha Swift and the Hidden Roses of Athena - VPJLN-HIEIX-9Y03M

Midnight Mysteries - JFD0X-6FL74-2WIAV

7 Wonders II - X99NY-H35PJ-L7KT3

Enjoy!

So I bet the new Dead Rising you will be live-tweeting the zombie apocalypse and the better picture you take the more likes and retweets you get...
I would play it just for that feature.

No one looks at a boring newspaper now?

I'll be honest... Glad I don't own an XBone since it looks like every 1st party title they got is coming to Windows 10 also but as a PC gamer I'm happy.

I need to get that installed... (Not expecting it to be a big ordeal, all my hardware is what I think most people would call new, I just want to do the upgrade and then do a clean Install afterwards...)
I might sell off both my consoles now.

Xbox Slim is coming out and the Ps4 slim is coming out.

I might as well put that money to a VR and a new graphic card.

{Pasports31's Bethesda Thoughts}

Cool that Chris Avellone is working on Prey, hopefully this means the story/writing isn't as disastrous in that game is it is in most Bethesda titles.

I don't think anybody really thought we'd get another fallout or elder scrolls. Elder scrolls maybe gets teased next year with a release set for 2018. Personal hunch but I don't think there will be another fallout spin-off, although I'd love to be wrong. While we're crossing fingers if they decided to do that, give it to obsidian again, get rid of voiced protagonist, revert back to the dialouge system of 3/nv, and put skills back in.

Really the conference wasn't good, wasn't terrible, they just didn't have enough on display. They should've officially announced the new Wolfenstein, then they would've had more than just Prey to go with.
I was really disappointed w/ BethSoft's conference, even though it wasn't horrible by any means.

Nobody really wanted to see new ESO DLC's or FO4 DLC's - we knew those were coming! This shouldn't be what the conference is about - these are just DLC's!

I'm glad as can be to see Dishonored 2 - but, I expect it to honestly be "More Dishonored." It looks really good and all - but yeah, I wanted something more. I really wanted to see a major sequel from Bethesda themselves (Elder Scrolls 6, Fallout 5); or a major spin-off (Fallout: Louisiana from Obsidian that's been rumored); or both.

I most definitely wanted to see a Quake SP Campaign - whether it was a reboot of the weird + cool Quake 1 gothic world; Quake 2+4 w/ the futuristic sci-world with Strogg; or somehow (even better idea) just do a mixture of some of both Quake 1+2 worlds.

Sure, Quake Champions looks + sounds cool - but, that really isn't Quake, TBH; that sounds more like Quake Multiplayer: Overwatch Edition. Doom MP from the Beta was solid - but honestly, that wasn't Doom MP either; that was more like Doom: CoD Edition.

And teasing Wolfenstein: New Colossus doesn't help matters, as we ain't we even seen the damn thing yet! That I definitely wanted to see. Wolf: TNO was great; and I really should soon dig into Wolf: TOB.

CD? DVD? Oh you mean that cup holder thing some older computers have.

Six DLC for FO4 is cool. Half of them being settlement-building stuff (and another one revolving around building robots) is... less cool. They jacked up the season pass price since you're getting more stuff but I think the New Vegas Season Pass had more actual content.
I have no problem w/ the building stuff being a part of the Season Pass.

I am actually curious about the Vault-Tec "Build Your Own Vault" DLC...

...well, as long as talking to Preston doesn't make him say "Another settlement needs your help; and it's a Vault someone made." ;)

I certainly do just wish there was more story + game-world content (like Far Harbor + Nuka World) in the Season Pass. I still ain't even touched the Far Harbor content yet.

Glad I got it from GMG for $24 or so, instead of say $50. At $50, I'd go "Meh."

EDIT:

I've already got around 103 hours or so w/ Fallout 4 without each touching much of the damn DLC stuff. I've only got Ada from the Automaton DLC....and that's about it. [shrug]

EDIT 2:

Oh man, I am thoroughly disappointed by the teaser for this new version of Prey. I loved the whole alien bounty hunter thing.

Could still turn out well, but my expectations have plummeted.
I have no problems w/ a new Prey Reboot from Arkane coming. I guess a reboot was kinda inevitable, since there ain't been a Prey game released since 2006!

My problem here is that Human Human's Prey 2 never got actually finished-up and salvaged into something worthwhile. Granted, this was in the works for a while - you mean to tell me that they didn't have something that was decent, interesting, and/or worthwhile there? And/or BethSoft just couldn't hire someone to finish and polish it up into something?

Well, sure, I'd have "no problem" with it as well if there was more story content on top of the settlement stuff. But this is pretty anemic on the plot DLC front compared to the last couple Fallout games.

Part of the problem is that settlements are pointless. You build them up to 20+ people and... that's it. You have twenty people named "Settler" poking at corn plants and standing at shopping stalls and whining about their blisters. Then they all silently loiter at the bar for an hour at 7:30pm before going to bed. Or, just as likely, standing outside the wall opposite of where their bed is and staring at the building, longing for their beds like a bunch of sad ass-clowns because the settlement pathing sucks and God forbid they find the door. If settlements actually accomplished anything then I could be more charitable about half the DLC being settlement-oriented.

But at least I only paid $18 for the Season Pass so I'm not really outraged or anything (I assume Far Habor+Nuka will be 'worth' the $18), just disappointed that this is it and the direction they took. Shit, if one of the DLC gave settlers names and created little dynamic quests or something ("Someone's been vandalizing my stall", "I think my wife is having an affair with Jim-Bob", "Save my McGuffin from the Raiders over yonder") then at least they'd be giving some life to the towns.

As long as there's a lot to explore; a Thieves' Guild quest-line; and Dark Brotherhood quest-line; and plenty of other non-sense quests to soak up some 50-100 odd plus hours - yeah, I'm good.

I'm glad Skyrim Special Edition is FREE for Steam-owners of everything Skyrim. :)

Another +1 Steam-game b/c of this Remaster Madness! :)

When I told Spoder I confused him for spoderfriend sometimes he said "we can't all be Mexicans" - RACIST!

I never use ball lock so half the time I am wondering where it is. I will try that.

Good choice cuz when I want to make fun of you I can call you PissPiss.

I always confuse you and Parallacks, not because I think you sound alike, but because you both are in the land of being familiar enough that I recognize you but not familiar enough to remember who is who. I can usually tell Malkan apart and DukeEdward but spoder and spoderfriend sound very similar to me sometimes (I am convinced they are kin).
Bah has the most distinct voice of anyone. The sound of him cursing on game nights is delightful and timeless, like Christmas songs.

I was okay with them showing some dlcs. The spent pretty minimal time on it, it sure beats ea showing 40 minutes of sports or ubisoft showing assassins creed movie. Honestly i would've liked to see a little more detail on the nuka world dlc. The biggest disappointment of the conference was that they are making quake into what looks like a multiplayer only game, would've liked a single player campaign

Amy chance the Skyrim remaster will be playable at above 60fps? I'm guessing it will be a nightmare-inducing bizarro realm like all open world Bethesa games at 60+, but I'm wrong about a lot of things so hopefully I'm wrong about this.

So Ubisoft is giving away seven games over seven months. Any guesses as to which ones they'll give away?
They started with that Sands of Time which I actually didn't own, but I expect the rest to be a Tom Clancy title, probably an Ass Creed one, a Far Cry, and as MysterD said stuff people likely already have or dont want anymore.

Did someone mention Prince of Persia?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43f3i0hIDaE

Man, that was SUCH a good movie. Right, guys? It was SO good. The general bigotry and way they fucked up the story was phenomenal. Everything, from script to cast, was pure genius.

If they were smart they would give away the last Assassin's Creed and The Division since most of the player-base is gone.

While I find the actual building up of settlements useless, they are somewhat useful in survival mode for 3 reasons. More purified water than you should ever need, a guaranteed bed to sleep in, and supply lines to easily access all your upgrade supplies that you can't fast travel to.

That said, I still find the settlement dlc pointless for how I play.

Yeah, Survival Mode is the one place where I can see them being useful just for more chances to rest and replenish.  Of course, as you point out, extra shit to hang on the walls or making conveyor belts doesn't actually help with that.

In related pissy news, I played the KF2 update tonight and it's ass for a casual style of play.  Maybe the hard core folks like it, I dunno but you can't just pop in and casually light shit up for a while any longer which is, you know, kind of the fun of killing zombies.
