Even if you ignore the problems of gameplay that doesn't fit with the source material it still doesn't change the whole it ain't Metal Gear unless Kojima's involved. If it had gone with a different name, then I think people wouldn't be so hard on it, but the fact that they just tact the name on there just screams cash grab.

Its not out publically in the US until tomorrow. Is there some early beta or something?

Anyway I think it looks more interesting than other zombie games, but Im certainly not going into it expecting a genuine Metal Gear experience, but more so a lot of good assets, mechanics UI, and engine being reused. (Which is a good thing they aren't charging a full $59)

 
I'm not sure about the US site but you can grab it right now on the Australian site. I played earlier and liked that it features heavily on melee weapons. The only thing is the game is pretty much impossible by yourself and you need to work with other players.

Already on the 5th mission in Black. Apparently there are only 8 missions? I guess I'll beat it the first day It's out on EA Access at this rate. Maybe the second day.

Good game outside of the enemies being bulletsponges an aiming is really slow.

Not seeing what made the game so special outside of propane tanks lit erred everywhere so you can blow shit up 24/7.

I do miss these type of games though.

I don't know why I thought there were 9 missions, time has its way :) for sure it was short.
It was never truly inventive, but was solid fun. I don't think it moved the genre, but at the end of the OG XBox's life it looked stellar.
 
Just finished tale tells guardians of the Galaxy. I enjoyed it. Good story very similar to the movies.

It was a little slower at parts but the group dynamic is really fun and when they are all fighting together it made for some of the best tell tale stuff.

It's odd, that game simultaneously feels innovative and dated. Mostly it just makes me wish Criterion got another chance to make a game on modern systems like that.

Really short. Just finished it on Normal just over 4ish hours.

I thought it was a decent game but nothing too fancy. Kept me going till the end at least.

Criterion should have stuck to the Burnout series though. Damn you EA!

 
Just noticed I got some money back from all I bought in the holiday sale...so trying to decide between buying Halo 5, Red Dead +Undead pack, or MGS Phantom Pain. All 3 come out about the same price, just gotta decide which...Two are $15.99 with the game pass, one is slightly cheaper.

What are the specs that actually matter? I won’t be blasting the volume I just want good quality. But if I see numbers on a box I have no idea which are important. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a feeling Phantom Pain is going to be GWG since It's only on the game pass for three months. But if your gonna jump then jump on it soon because that discount will go with it.

I know, got the message today that it's leaving gamepass at the end of the month. Though I just started playing it via gamepass, and I'm kinda hating the beginning hospital chapter. If I buy it it'll be because of the base building. The main reason I'm leaning towards halo 5 is just the fact it's 100gb and it's already installed via gamepass as well. I'd just hate to end up having to redownload 100gb in the near future.

Why would you have to redownload it? It can sit on your HDD until you have a valid license to play it.

 
Phantom Pain's eventual GWG is probably tied closely into Metal Gear Survive. It it comes before Survive's supposed March release date it would probably be pretty soon, like the first game for February. If not before it could be a while since they'll want people to buy the new game. MGSV was just PS+ like a month ago.

 
Confused, I can't find the new Godzilla on Netflix on my Xbox. I can find and watch it on my phone and add to my list, but it still doesn't show on console.

I was going to check it out, but at this point I don't even want to add a digit to Konami's beta participation numbers. I'll check it out on Twitch, probably never going to touch this unless it's GWG at some point.

For some reason I don’t have Magic the Gathering in my ready to install list. Can’t imagine I wouldn’t have grabbed it with GwG.

Classes have officially resumed and my goal of finishing ReCore before my cheap Game Pass sub expires may be in trouble. I don't know grad school doesn't factor gamerscore into GPA, but here we are.

If you're like me, you sort your RtI section by Newness. It wouldn't be in that list by when it was added to the BC program, but by when you "purchased" it. Apparently I bought Sniper Elite V2 a few years ago and the total in my RtI went up by one when it went BC but it was buried in the list.

I Think I may have a Game Pass Sub I was planning to use for the day I beat every game in my vast, vast, vast, so very vast backlog (shut up, it can happen) that you can use if you want to extend your ReCore time.
