Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Finished FC5 this morning. Holy crap, the ending. Love it or hate it, there's a lot to discuss.

This article on Polygon has some good discussion, and includes info from Ubisoft on the nuclear bomb, suggesting the radio chatter in the game references global conflict and tensions with other world powers.

So... maybe Joseph Seed was right and just had impeccable timing?

Maybe the protagonist was high on bliss and the explosion never happened?

Maybe the cult acquired a bomb and Joseph had it arranged to launch of his compound fell?

The other Seed members DO hole up in nuclear bunkers, one of which has that dramatic escape through the missile silo. The US government sprinkled nuclear silos all over the northern midwest during the arms race, so if Hope County was home to some of them, it could theoretically be a strategic target in a nuclear war.

The replaced start screen with a nuclear wasteland certainly suggests it happened, but then you can run around post-game and everything is fine. I.... have no idea what to think.

Connect both hard drives, then in storage find the hard drive that has the data on it and then click transfer. It will ask you where and what you’d like to transfer.
I wish there was a better way where you could select a bunch at a time, moved 2TB to a 4TB, took me about a week.

It looks like GoW controls can be changed to a more classic layout in options. This is the first thing I did in AC Origins. I can’t stand the trigger/shoulder buttons for sword gameplay - it feels like using a steering wheel in a flight simulator.
Glad I'm not the only one who did this. I gave the triggers a try on GOW and pretty much got my ass handed to me by the first enemies you meet ): I switched it to classic buttons and I'm doing much better now :)

My feet are burning up.

Thanks just used my Sea of Thieves code money to buy a 8tb that's on sale at BBY. I'll just throw the 4tb in the closet
Haha yeah I jumped on that deal too for the easystore 8tb. I actually just did it all yesterday that’s how I knew what to tell you. I transferred all my stuff from a bare 6tb in a dock to the 8tb so I’ll be good for the rest of the Xbox one’s life now since PS4 is my main and I only get exclusives and backwords compatible games on the One.

There is if you went through the steps like I mentioned. It will actually give you a list and you can select some of all of your games to transfer and select which hard drive specifically that you’d like to transfer them to in bulk. I transferred quite a bit and had hundreds of games and addons in my queue which I let run all night in “instant on” while I slept

Yea the lack of AC outlets is what's killing me. Im not trying to burn down the crib lol

Yeah.
My thoughts almost exactly

Damn! Just out of curiosity, how many hours did it take? I’ve got like 15 hours in, and just started the second area. Doing a lot of sidequests though.

Finally started playing Assassin's Creed Origins after buying it in December. The intro where you're following that guy on a camel and he says "let's not attract attention" while simultaneously running over villagers and donkeys is amazing.

I can sit and watch people get attacked by Crocs and Hippos for a good 10-15 minutes

Is it really better than the last couple of Assassin's Creed games? I just started Syndicate a couple of days ago and I find it so terribly boring.

Know a lot has been made of God of War’s story and being more emotional with the kid and stuff but damn the combat in that may be the most satisfying of any game I’ve ever played. And I’m still early in the game. Anyone who’s gotten to at least “The Stranger” will know what I’m talking about as far as combat.

#XboxNeedsGamesLikeThis
when he grabbed the stranger in the sleeper hold I was all "Snap his neck. Snap it!"

On another note, Is it just me or have the Xbox UI sounds been upgraded? They sound spatially related. Seems like it uses stereo to adjust the sound from left to right. so as I click from left to right across pinned items it starts all in my left ear, moves to both ears and then finishes all in my right ear. The reverse happens right to left. I'm using headphones by the way. Seems like bit of an overkill for a UI.

Anyone else’s prime video app acting weird?

Everytime I click a movie it flashes like its changing resolution and adjusting, thought my tv or Xbox was going out but it’s not happening on Netflix or Hulu or games, I restarted but it’s still doing it.

yup they changed this in the last update, noticed it a few days ago.

Probably 30 hours based on the last time I looked. Which includes a lot of achievement nonsense finishing up the hunting and kill stuff. I wish the perks were more interesting, after you get about half of them, the rest seem a lot less important and don't change the gameplay nearly as much.

That's kind of true for the whole game. As much as I enjoyed the open world, I kinda got too powerful too quickly between weapons and vehicles, and it took some of the fun out of it. By the end of the third region, I felt like I was just going through the motions, which is a shame.

Going after prepper stashes was probably the most fun I had, especially when I cared about unlockng perks. The mini-stories and puzzles for each one were really cool.

It's the Far Cry 3 people, so you knew the ending was going to be jacked up
True.

Started Full Metal Furies last night with the wife.  Really neat game, picked it up during a previous sale for 15 (5 dollars off).  Easily recommend it to all and can't wait to spend more time with it.

Achievement hunters beware:  When playing split screen, only the host gets achievements.  Not sure if it's the same when playing online.

For anyone who wants some shiny new 4K Blu-rays to play on your Xbox One, Target.com has 20% off all movies and it includes pre-orders. Got Gladiator, Braveheart, Ready Player One and Source Code.

Let other thread makers be aware: thoughtfully using different types and colors of fonts goes a looooong way especially in a deals post this big. Thanks.

Must be select preorders as it doesn't apply to Black Panther. And speaking of Marvel, thanks to you all for not spoiling anything! I feel like I can enjoy the rest of the interwebs now that I saw IW yesterday. Really enjoyed it!

Is it better than ragnarok? I loved the comedy in ragnarok and most other marvel movies. So does infinity war also have some comedy moments in it like all the other marvel movies?

The analog sticks on my Xbox 360 controller, particularly the left one, have developed a 'drift'. The caps are a bit worn, too, but that's less of a concern. I imagine taking the controller apart and cleaning it might improve things temporarily but replacing the sticks for not much more work seems preferable.

Given that official replacement parts aren't available, could anyone recommend me a quality third-party alternative?

Thanks in advance!

It has the same Marvel-esque comedy. I loved Ragnarok but can't really say if one was better than the other when strictly comparing the two as they had different overall themes. Let's just say you won't be disappointed if you are an MCU fan.

During the end credit sequence in Infinity War
For a split second when that car crashed into Fury I kept thinking "Oh God. For the love of God please don't have Iron Fist come out of that car."

Interesting fact about the post -credits scene

Captain Marvel and Adam Warlock are the two cosmic beings who were able to help the Avengers defeat Thanos way back in his early days of the comics. I didn't know that. So I'm gonna assume the original Avengers crew, CM, and Warlock will play a huge part in the next one.

I think they'll replace Adam Warlock's role in the Infinity War with Gamora inside the Soul Stone.

I do hope they have Nebula take control of the gauntlet next like in the comic.

Wolf 2 season pass for 12.49 - GameStop
https://t.co/Q6Lkg8cFHM
(Stolen from from page so CAG gets credit)
Seems like a great price

GameStop also has mafia 3 season pass for 14.99
Dang it. I just bought the Wolfy 2 pass for $14.99 during the MS add on sale (or whatever the official name was). There goes one weeks cheapo game from the MS store.

So I had this older android tablet I wiped and reloaded some stuff to including the bing app and MS mobile Edge browser. figured I could run my mobile searches for MS rewards points from that device. But after running several Bing searches on Edge they rgister as PC searches. Does anyone know how searches are identified as PC vs mobile? The tablet is WiFi only. My cell phone registers as a mobile search even when I'm on wiFi and not on a cell signal, so I'm a bit baffled.

Remember:

Adam was teased in a post credit scene of Guardians Vol.2

FYI - If anyone wants a quick refresher of the events leading up to Infinity War, Alamo Drafthouse has a pretty good summary on screen before the movie starts.

So the Defiance 2050 closed Beta is a lot of fun. I wish it was running longer. I'll probably end up getting the founders pack. It reminds me of the old Defiance game mixed with the Secret World MMO and seems to be a lot more streamlined. I can't wait to try the other classes.

Amazing that Destiny 2 is that cheap a little over six months after release. I’d say that was a fail.
It's not that different from the life span of Destiny, that vanilla version isn't really worth much anymore now that we're in DLC time
