Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

I paid for it, might as well do everything. Also, I still had fun exploring and looking for collectibles. The gunplay was pretty satisfying too. It's not like the game was totally broken; it just didn't live up to the standard the prior two games had set.
Aw, man, my milk is chunky!

*grimaces*

... but I did pay for it. Bottoms up!

There’s been tons of rumors about Microsoft joining Movies Anywhere. And more of those stories are out. Welp, I have a connection that in the past has said there was nothing on the MA side to indicate that it was impending. Now there is.

So think it’s finally happening. Just a matter of when they pull the switch!

Probably soonTM. I am about to split the seams on a buddy's movie collection...

Eh, just me being a jerk because someone mentioned saving money by lying/deception, which I pointed out is the definition of fraud. Pretty sure people are tired of hearing how a site that doesn't charge appropriate tax means you have to make up for it on your annual taxes, or whatever minor legal indiscretion has me all hot and bothered. I don't really care and have no intention of squealing on anyone, I only point it out for the people paranoid about such things. Like how any inconsistency over 3 days of FBI questioning amounts to "false statements" and an open & shut felony charge.

Cool to see Ruiner on Game Pass. I don't much care for twin stick shooters, but Devolver makes fun little games.

I think I'm going to preorder Dead Cells for the $5 off. I love roguelikes, metroidvanias, and Dark Souls, so it should be a no brainer right?

Speaking of preorders, does anyone who got in on that Darksiders bundle still have DS3 showing as purchased, or were they able to revoke that one?
Thanks Capt, was far from worried Hibiki, miss me with that lol

I've enjoyed all the main fallout games, 1,2,3,4, NV. Each has there strengths/weaknesses. Fallout 2 is probably the best overall in my book. 3/NV are both quality games I had a lot of fun with. 4 is decent but lacks in the story department. It's been so long I can't recall much about the first game.

The only 2 major things I've disliked about the Fallout Franchise was #1 the Dead Money DLC and #2 the Mothership Zeta DLC.Both were a chore...that said I haven't tried any of the story Fallout 4 DLC yet.

3 hours? WTF, what are you accusing me of? I never played any game past the 2 minute mark. I finish the initial cut scenes, so that I dont have to deal with it again, and I am done.

I really enjoyed FO2 but I think that enjoyment has a lot to do with nostalgia and it being one of my first big RPGs. Hard for someone to play it for the first time now.

FO1 you only play to complete the series. :)

And Fallout tactics might be better then originally thought and I should give it another chance. But eh.

Man, I was watching the trailer for Dead Cells, which comes out next week. Damn that looks awesome. Think I may preorder and get the 20% discount.

Has anyone else been following the weird fable stuff, there is the reaver industries and the other twitter accounts associated with it, something is for sure happening

I know BLOPS has become the mainstream way to refer to the game, but years ago I had a friend who worked at GS, and he would talk about some of the weird questions and requests he'd get, one of those being these guys coming in saying "Y'all got that Cadbo?" Not Cawwadoodie, not BLOPS. Cadbo.

BobbyTastic is the winner of LA Cops!

Thanks for all those that entered. That's probably the most likes I'll get for a post ever.

Lol... Calladoodie BO

I'm confused. You expected to be compensated for them rectifying an obvious mistake you tried to take advantage of?
I expect that when a company has made a mistake that their response isn't to just take something away from you without saying anything about it, at the very least. What Microsoft did would be akin to checking out at Walmart with a great deal, and on your way out of the store after you've already paid, someone sneaks up to your cart and takes an item out when you're not looking because the deal you got was too good to be true.

And I didn't EXPECT anything. I just thought it was funny they gave out $10 for the Fallout 4 thing, and nothing for this, when if anything, they shouldn't have given anyone anything for the free Fallout 4 mistake since none of those people spent any money.

This game looks insane. Any difference between the XBox and Switch version? Switch looks like the Version to grab for portability.
Just portability, I'd suspect. Doubtful this one gets an X enhancement, but there's always a chance the Switch might have a lower resolution or dropped frames.

Decided to play Resident Evil on Xbox One, and it does not start and I get an error message saying it has taken too long to start.. (0x8027025a)

I restarted the Xbox, Uninstall and reinstall, turn off Xbox fully, every time no difference and same message.

This is the only game that this happens for, I do own it and other GamePass games work, so that rules out a gamepass problem.

On another note, if playing Electronic Super Joy for first time might be a good idea to not have the volume too high, especially if the family is around.

A source who scrubs the Movies Anywhere database for sales, etc. was able to generate a report today on what Microsoft movies are in MA. So while it still hasn’t been announced yet, it’s definitely happening with all the groundwork being laid down. This is great news for MS Movies.

BC not dead

Are xbox one x patch’s dead?

I’m organizing my backlog (yay spread sheets) and I’m likely to lower the priority ofgames that don’t have a X patch. My hope is that they will get a patch.

Is there a pattern? Or rhyme and reason to who gets patches?

Or are their companies that it is safe to assume they won’t make patches for older games? If so I don’t have to wait.

It seems like multiple additions being announced at Gamescom. It could be Halo, Doom, Hellblade, or Fallout from the clues. Could you imagine Fallout 76 launching on Gamepass? That would be insane.
I don't think it would be that insane at all actually, Phil and Todd Howard seem to have a pretty good relationship and the more I learn of that game the more I think it could end up something like Fortnite where Betheseda is going to make all the money from cosmetics.

Only on this website would we make spreadsheets for games we haven't finished instead of finishing them. I Can somewhat relate to this, but I rather not give a number to my madness.

Some ppl like watching gamerscore get bigger, some ppl like checking things off a spreadsheet, some ppl are into feet. Don't try to make sense of it.

Edit: some ppl like deleting Shaders.

You're right. I've been doing the mental gymnastics in my head since I wrote that post and still don't have an answer. Wasted minutes of my life.

Not work at all. Just a list of title. Platform. Hltb. If digital and if has x patch. Really convienemt when I want to scan my collection for what to play next. Most of the time only the top of list is what I’m playing soon. Buts let’s say I’m in the mood for a shorter game then I just quickly look at games that are less then 20 hours.

Also there are times where I can’t look at my collection or be playing. But I can look at my list.

Granted I also thought it would be fun to have a separate list of my ratings. Makes ending a game a bit more reflective and comparative if I want.

Also gave my friend access. So we can compare ratings and time to beat. Just adds to our gaming fun.

I feel you. If it works for you keep doing it. Lol. Im all digital so I just pick something from my history thing and give it a go.
I haven't beaten a game in like 5 years so I'm probably doing it wrong. Lol

Can you enjoy video games wrong though? You are playing the way that’s fun for you.

My wife wouldn’t finish a game and I realized she plays and has fun differently than myself and that’s ok.

If people want to experience as many games as they can and not finish them, sounds good.

Like people said earlier I like checking things off a list. Adds a little bit of accomplishment. Which maybe makes sense how I do acheivements. I don’t usually 1000g games. But when I’m playing i look for achievements like do X amount and maybe play a little differently to get that one along the way. Little bit of guiding to add to my experience

Summer Spotlight
Between August 1 – Sep 10, 2018 earn 100 points per dollar spent on games
The red is by me. So I'm understanding this right, 100 points is the equivalent of $1? And we get 100 pts per dollar spent. So basically for every $1 spent, you get $1 back in points? So we're practically paying $0?

Anyone stream their X1 to a PC or tablet via Windows 10? How well does it work? All my patients this morning were no-shows and I ended up impulse buying a new laptop to replace my aging one, which is still running Windows 7.

You really have a spreadsheet for your backlog?

That shit sounds like work. I use gaming to escape work. Why u do this??????

I use my brother's account to gameshare with myself, and my account to gameshare with a buddy from high school. I used to keep a spreadsheet so I could tell what was already purchased on which account, but I haven't updated it in over a year. It just got to be more work than just clicking links on sale and signing in to check.

I just had a notification popup on my TV telling my gamefly was shutting down or something, idk I don't have a sub. Weird that my TV would do that, now I have to figure out how to turn notifications off on that. It's so hard to only have actual important notifications like new messages or missed calls, and not "YouTuber posts youtube vid!" or "Facebook addict updates their status!" This first world shit is rough.

Depends, on your home network it can work ok, I still wouldn't play anything that needs super accurate timing like Oli Oli or maybe Dark Souls, but most things are fine. If your trying to stream over the internet to a different location it doesn't natively do that yet but there are ways to get it going. I was able to stream to mine over some crappy hospital wi-fi and get a lot of telltale and what not to play rather well.

It works fine if you have a decent computer and want to play a single player game. You wont be scoring any goals in rocket league tho.

Obviously it works 100X better if both your xbox and computer are wired.

Did you guys see that Kane is a mayor now? Can't wait to see him enter the city council room and the pyro technics and entrance music.

I have an excel file with worksheets sperated by 360 games, XBLA and X1 games on each worksheet.

I have the games listed alphabetically, with the size and completion status and colour coded for BC games.
