I have given up waiting for the 12 month gamepass to come back to Microsoft Rewards so just cased in for some gift cards which are discounted right now, just added 6 months to gamepass.

No clue. I can't find a countdown so I'd buy it ASAP if you were interested in Game Pass.

Who has played Impact Winter? Looks interesting and would love to hear opinions on it.

Halo MCC is fantastic. I was peer pressured into playing it and forgot how good the classic Halo games are compared to 343's shit. The Quests are all easy and a free $5 to buy ODST next month when they send out the rewards.

The search function on Tapatalk never seems that reliable. Tried a search but came up with nothing.

I thought that I recall someone posting FH4 avatar gear (maybe a shirt and racing helmet) several days ago for Xbox avatars?

Ashame Spider-Man is a Sony exclusive because it is pretty awesome. But would much rather play it on my X1X. My original fatty PS4 is so damn loud and much prefer the Xbox controller.

How do you recover a external HD from xbox? I upgraded to a 8TB drive leaving my 5TB free to use for my laptop. When I plug it in, the computer doesn't see the HD at all but when plugged back into the xbox it's there. What I am I missing?

Go to Disk Management (Window + X) and reformat the drive. XBox formats it for games, so windows does not recognize the format any more. If you used the drive as media drive and not for games, you wouldnt have this problem switching between XBox & PC.

 
So after redeeming the 3 months of Gamepass for $15 on the Xbox itself I'm able to redeem it a second time on Xbox.com. It's odd but I'll take it. Maybe it's because I turned auto renew back off after redeeming the first time.

Thanks, I found my answer and everything's good now.

 
Ended up ordering a sound bar while it's on sale. Time to ditch the clunky receiver, which draws a lot of power (the lights blink when I turn it on) and possibly interfering with the X1S when displaying 4k.

Very tempting, but I want to go in blind. Have it pre-ordered, and the impressions online have already been so solid that I want the full experience when it comes out. So happy that this game is happening and it's apparently/actually very good.

Same except I got rid of my PS4 fatty and have an Slim. I just picked up my copy and can't wait to start it up. I think it might be the only game I buy at release this year.

 
There's definitely a glitch with the Gamepass promo. When I bought it the second time it said "Join Now" on the website despite having an active sub until next July. After buying the second time the "Join Now" button is still there allowing me to get the deal over and over. Too bad I can't afford to add a couple years right now even at that price.

Speaking of which, has anybody bought that game (I hope not because there hasn't been a sale) and think it's worth it? Don't remember seeing any CAG reviews.

I'm strongly considering trading in Monster Hunter World. The game is releasing a fantastic amount of content, however I'm not nearly good enough to do the arch-tempered elder dragons with any consistency. I've hit a skill ceiling.

Ha, I saw that earlier to day so of course I had to click through and then proceeded to spend $50 on misc Amazon stuff, so it worked.

I've played quite a bit of it. Not bad if you enjoy the sim/construction genre but a little rough in places. It's not challenging to stay cash flow positive, and once you get your park established it's easy going. You do have to repeat basically the same routine across 6 islands though, and if you were going for all the achievements there is this pretty terrible reputation mechanic where you have to run quick objective missions over and over ad nauseam for three factions (and again times six islands...) . The dinosaurs are pretty cool though, and Jeff Goldblum does some amusing voicework which was dev money well spent.

 
ha the velociraptor shows up in the amazon ad on the CAG homepage. i didn't even look at it on amazon so it must have picked it up from this thread.

I am thinking I will take MS up on the 3 months for $14.99 offer. I paid $9.99 for 2 months and I need to play more of the games but with Forza Horizon 4 coming it will be worth $15 to play that till the wheels come off.

Anyone have experience using an hdmi switch with their one x?

Lightning blew out one of the hdmi ports on my TCL and being down to 2 working ports is limiting to say the least.

I have been using a receiver for a very long time. I had to upgrade my receiver to be HDR compatible when I bought a 4K TV, but the X worked fine with the old one which was only 4K.

Might need one of these eventually. I currently have a basic HDMI splitter but it doesn't support anything beyond basic HDMI output. Now that I'm ditching my clunky receiver, this may be the way to go. Thanks for the recommendation.

I don't know much about receivers and didn't see the good quality ones for a decent price when I looked quickly on amazon last night. Had hoped to spend less as I also replaced my modem and router but getting a name brand and possibly local right away would be nice. I see that model is $50 more new. Unfortunately none of the Best Buys near me have it in stock and when I was in there earlier it was a bit overwhelming looking at all the receivers being a noob.

Thanks for making my decision easier by adding more possibilities lol.
