That's sort of how Insomniac rolls, Ratchet and Clank also has similarly limited ammo to force you to switch out weapons all the time - it is a conscious design decision. You really have to learn to effectively use multiple weapons - especially with using certain weapons for certain enemies. If you try to play either with a "favorite gun" you are going to have a hard time. Combos are hard until you get an idea of how they want you to link things together, once you are on the same page it gets really natural.

Got the sound bar set up that was previously recommended when it was on sale for $150. Soundwise it's a slight downgrade from the receiver I was using, at least for music, but I have limited space and I'm pretty happy with it. Games actually sound a little clearer when it comes to background and ambient noise.

Old receiver didn't have Bluetooth, so that is definitely better. Thanks to whoever encouraged me to spend a little extra money and get one with a subwoofer, I think anything less would have been a mistake

Has anyone else had an issue with the grips on an Elite controller peeling off? I noticed mine starting to peel at one of the edges last night. Any recommendations?
 
Do you play with Cheeto or Mountain Dew finger? If you do stop.

I've had mine since launch and haven't had any issues with it.

I just swapped my non-functioning EWC for a "new" one at the local MS store, and that new one has a bubble in the middle of the left rubber grip on the bottom. I'm not sure how long it will last.

Every Monday, there is a countdown to disappointment. 8PM EST is when Bloomy flashes us all with his stuff and the excitement deflates...

The 10% gamepass or EA Access discounts don't stack with sales, so they "expire" and overwrite with the new sale price. Bloomy uses voodoo, sorcery, augury, his deal with the devil, and or html code to find them. Something changed recently to where storeparser.com is having trouble while Bloomy is finding discounts a week in advance. Gotta be that deal at the crossroads.. what did you have to give him, Bloomy?

I've only played one of them on the PS3, and that was a terrible design decision. I always ran out of ammo on the final boss, ending in my inevitable death. I gave up after a few tries.

 
The limited ammo and traversal threw me off the first time I played Sunset Overdrive. I was so use to just walking/running on the ground regularly in open world games so I wasn't use to the way you move in Sunset. Years later, I gave it another chance but I read up on what's the best weapons and found out that you could upgrade your skills and stuff which gave you more ammo and stuff. The more I upgraded the better it got for me. I also got good in grinding and moving. Instead of following a certain path, I went on my own path jumping here and there, grinding here and there, even though it seemed like I was going further from the destination I eventually get there. I mostly collected the collectibles more than the missions, but after reading certain weapons and skills unlocks after certain missions, that's made me go forward. I had fun with the game, I hope MS or someone publish the sequel, Insomniac Games are willing to do a sequel but they just need someone to publish it.

Jet Set Radio is on sale, I may get it.

All Sunset Overdrive was missing was a NG+ mode. Sure, you could replay missions/chapters but it wasn't the same. Hopefullu Uncle Phil is willing to try and convince Insomniac to make a sequel for the next Xbox.

haven't played COD in years but i've been watching their Battle Royale gameplay for an hour and it looks really good. 80 players, 60 FPS

Can't wait to play it but it doesn't go live on Xbox till the 14th though.

 
I started a Necromancer on Diablo 3 last night, it reminds me of how many hours I sunk into Diablo 2 in high school. Let the party commence!

I might be more inclined to get BO4 over BF5, have to wait till the 14th to check out the beta too. I'll be checking out the open beta for BF5 later to see if it's worth keeping my pre-order at GS.

Xbox Live seems to be wonky again. 360 games I've purchased aren't showing as purchased so be careful if you buy anything. Xbox Live status states everything is fine. I tried calling their support but it seems to only be automated help right now and then hangs up.

It is how they get around being able to provide upgrades to make weapons really powerful - but you cannot focus all your upgrade time and points into a single weapon to max out and ignore the rest. You need multiple upgraded options and to spread the points around. Every gun has its uses once upgraded.

You're on point. Spider-Man is derivative as fuck. People are just eating it up because it's PS4 exclusive or whatever. Shit ain't no God of War. It's a good game but nothing ground break. 7/10 maybe

7/10 is still pretty good on a legit scale that uses all 10 numbers. One of my friends actually uses Batman Begins as the comparison for all movies. Better/Worse/Same as Batman is the review scale we use.

couldn't you say the Arkham games play and act like the old Spider-Man games form the ps1/ps2 era?

When i first played Arkham it reminded me of the Spider-Man movie game

 
Now that I'm full on into Pinball FX3 I'm not going to be happy until I see a sale on a bunch of tables. It's one of the only games my wife plays so I like buying her tables.
