How many copies of a game can I trade in?
​You are allowed to trade in 4 copies of the same game (same system) within a rolling 30 day period.
 
What do I need to trade in an older console?
The console, power cable, av cable, and controller. Sometimes they don't care about USB charge cable but ymmv. 3DS XL trade would be console, charger, and stylus. Some have reported being charged a refurb fee for missing the stylus, but again ymmv (answer stolen from anarchyburger)
 
FAQ will be entered when those questions get asked frequently.
 
Does the Pro Membership B2G1 coupon apply to only games, or accessories as well?
The coupon applies to both games and accessories, per the wording on the coupon.
 
I have a $XX.xx pre-owned reward certificate, and I want to use it on a B2G1 transaction. Should I?
It depends. If the three games are equal value, do not use your certificate. The value of the certificate would be applied to the free game, which would not benefit you. If one game is more expensive, you can use the certificate to make it the same value as the other two games ($5 reward certificate applied to transaction with two $10 games and one $15 game would make all three games $10).
 
 
TERMINOLOGY AND LINGO:
ASL/SL: Assistant Store Leader, Store Leader; manager positions at GS.
B2G1: Buy two, get one free. Typically refers to the coupon you receive when becoming Pro.
GCU/BB: Gamer’s Club Unlocked, Best Buy
GS: GameStop
JD: Junior detective, an employee who is out to get someone
LP: Loss Prevention; this is the department that actually bans accounts after being flagged.
TC/TiC: Trade credit.
TIV/TV: Trade in value, or what a game currently trades for. When posting a TV for a game, always use the base value.

I just called my local store and they said it's not in their system as of yet to order instore and said check back tomorrow. I JUST got a used PSPro from them so contemplating packing up and returning.

Definitely return it as it is probably the older "jet engine" version. Unless, you got it with B2G1.

 
Has anyone been able to take advantage of the $250 for an XBone traded toward an Arcade1up? The stores around me can’t do preorders and said they won’t get them until the 15th. The trade promo ends on the 14rh.

I've got the exact same problem, no luck in my area taking advantage of this either.

I barely use phones, so it was in excellent condition. The employee was cool and not hyper-JD about any of my trades.

 
My understanding is that this is just the list of games and the prices are not updated yet. Think of this as an early release of titles. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I could totally see them hitting me with a refurb fee, but after reading about people trading in crap condition phones for that Xbox promo, it gives me hope (though it's probably gonna be ymmv like you said).

The bumps are usually Friday - Monday, but it’s good to know what games to look out for.
Considering it’s advertised, easy to search and anything but stealthy, should we still call it stealth bump? Lol

No dice. I tried to chat with Microsoft and after they asked me for the receipt and box showing the 1 month game pass, they just told me to go back to Gamestop lol. Not worth pursuing any more at this point.

 
Has anyone else noticed the GameStop website giving higher Regular trade-in values than Elite Pro values?

Could you elaborate on this, e.g. exact name of the title, SKU, search terms that one would use to narrow down the region ("middle east"?), images/videos of unboxing, etc.? Have never heard of this version, would be very helpful, thanks!

Reminds me of the very specific version of Dead Island Collection that comes with 2 discs (2nd one for Dead Island Riptide) that was retailer-exclusive to a single German shop. Ended up paying almost $100 for it, have only ever seen it pop up on a third party marketplace that one time.

The definitive edition is out in America and comes with everything the gold edition has. It's $60 compared to $20-$40 for the gold edition. If you have a link to this cheaper other region edition than that would be great to see.

The only reason I ended up with digital is because physical was no longer available for pre-order. One of the employees said it was because it was close to the release date and Microsoft(?) was no longer accepting pre-orders for the physical version. Also, to be fair I had the Standard edition pre-ordered and paid in full. Then at the last minute I changed my mind and switched it over to the Ultimate edition.

Ah OK yeah my store has a waiting list for preorders not picked up as where my store is located people don’t buy digital games.

Does anyone ever have it where their online orders don’t go through and keep getting cancelled when retrying? All my info is correct and I used the same payment methods that I did last week and that order was processed fine.

I'm guessing you had the item saved and then went back and hit "refresh estimate? That usually screws itup. The elite Price is probably correct, but the base is obviously wrong.

 
Surprisingly, in my decade+ of going to GameStop, I've never had to do a negative survey. Unfortunately, now is the first time due to a terrible experience with a clerk. Given that I have a receipt with the associate ID and feedback ID, what's the best way to do this anonymously? I don't want to burn a relationship with a new store I hope to be my primary, but I also don't want to just not do a survey.

Do the survey as normal. You can submit it without putting your info in. Granted, if you do this way the district manager can’t contact you for further details or a resolution.

Yea. I had like 200 titles drop to 4.99 last night with price changes. I think they're getting ready to downsize our selection a bit. Still great deals especially with the 4 for 10
