Apparently there was a production shortage. Not sure if anyone got theirs at launch or not, but amazon had to change their listings as well to “usually ships in 1-3 months”

I kept my FFVIIR too. FFVII is my favorite game ever, so I wanted to get this CE. That said, I am disappointed that it appears to not be a special box CE like FFXV was, and I think they’re just gonna package contents together like they’ve been doing a lot lately. Like basically throw the deluxe version in a box, and then include the figure separately in a box and toss in all the extra items on top of it.

So I don’t think it’s really gonna “feel” like a CE. More like just paying a lot extra for a figurine.
 
I kept my FF7R order too, already paid for mine awhile back, I'm really looking forward to it. Does suck that it's not in special LE/CE type box though.

I kind of think that's a good thing... if you ever decide you don't want the statue, you can sell it. Or if finish game and decide you'll never play it again, then you can sell the game.

No, but if we ever get a re-release / remaster on PS4/5 then I'd expect one. It's not as well loved as 10 is though, so it's not as likely to get one. Then again, Square Enix does love re-releasing their titles, so it's probably only a matter of time.

How is the demo? You guys like it? Was this demo known about or a surprise drop? I'm traveling for work and wouldn't have the time to play it anyway but I've been reading tons of impressions, seems like it's mostly mixed. If I was home, I would prob give up what minimal sleep I'd be getting just to play this.

It was a surprise midnight drop. I liked it. I thought the graphics, music, and voice acting were top notch. I got chills watching the opening. You can button mash in the beginning, but later on you are going to have to learn how to use ATB, magic, and switching characters. I actually have to use potions, unlike all the previous FF games where I would be stock piling them.

Production delays due to coronavirus in China. For what it's worth, I work in IT and a lot of our Q1 hardware purchases were also delayed because nothing could get out of China for a while and then there was a backlog. A lot of sites took down orders because they had no clue when the games would come in.

With all the pains and such marginal returns on previous CEs I wouldn't be surprised if there were fewer Genesis CEs. Darksiders III got down to $50 and it cost about that to ship given its size. 99% of video game stuff falls below MSRP so it's generally a bad investment, but if you want to roll the dice more power to you.

I figured as much, just didn't see any news on it with everyone running around fearmongering instead (hint: it's not that serious people). I figure if it doesn't sell within a week, I'll just return it. It's rare these days that anything I buy becomes scarce so if someone wants it that bad, then great. If not, IDC lol.

Mine got charged too... yeesh. I know I said before I want this but man, it hurts seeing that much of a charge on my credit card for something I won't have for another month.

Create a UK user. Download bonuses. As long as it’s your main console, you should be able to access the bonus from your us account. I did this with devil may cry 5, no problem

If the FFVII CE won't be in a special box, I'm hoping at least there's some makeshift thing to piece all the items together. Just tossing in a bunch of individual items in a box like a bundle would really piss me off. Because I already pre-ordered the deluxe from BB with GCU, essentially I'd have been paying like $300 for that Cloud figurine. Which is cool, but I'm sorry I can't stomach that.

But with the way SE's CEs have been going lately, tossing a bunch of individual items in a box like a bundle is exactly what I'm expecting. They did it with Dragon Quest 11 and others.

They were pretty clear from day one that it's a bundle and not a packaged CE.

I initially read about this as you had to set the UK account as the main account on your system? Did I misunderstand how it worked or have things changed a bit since?

Any PS4 you activate as your primary PS4 shares content across all accounts on that PS4.
So create the UK account and select the console your playing on as that accounts primary ps4
Also, you can have multiple users all set to that system as their primary PS4

Seems like the animal crossing switch is out in the wild all ready. People on Ebay have then in stock for selling. Wonder where they got them from.

Has anyone found a good national store for said candy bars (like Target or something)? A lot of posts on reddit are saying places are getting denied due the receipt not showing all names or whatever. And the only stores that people mention working seem to be local.

This seems like a really stupid way to do a promo in this day and age...

Yep same, so happy my GCU is still in effect for a couple more weeks :) Dunno wtf I'm gonna do when it's gone though, I can't really stand paying full price for anything anymore so guess I'll just have to get some more patience.

Best bet is Walmart, don't know if they list the candy by name, but upc are printed on the receipt.
