I can always tell it's after a Steam Next Fest as my queue becomes TOTAL GARBAGE. My last queue go throughs were 70% low effort 18+ games, 10% awful looking simulators, 10% brand new stuff that I haven't wish listed or anything, 10% everything else usually mobile ports. Out of 3 goes through the queue to get all my stickers I added one whole game to the wish list and everything else went to ignored. Also still working on some demos. Cleaning them up and trying some new ones. Some decent ones which I'll give my impressions of sometime later this week.

This game Tiny Aquarium is okay, but a bit buggy. But I don't like the live service elements in the game that have you begging other players to like your aquarium, and the limitations per day of certain things. And the limited time events. It's giving me bad flashbacks to other live service games. Luckily I haven't played for 2 hours yet, I'm going to refund it. No other fishing or idle games I've played had these elements.

Oh no, it says in the refund request page that I played for 2 hours. In the library it says 94 minutes. I think it's counting time that I played the demo. But 2 hours has not passed in real life between buying the game and requesting the refund.

I got the refund!
Well, I have been tracking the patch notes on this game, and the dev has been addressing the specific things that I had issues with. I did like the game other than those aspects, so I'll probably buy it again soon.

I got Riders Republic Complete from the sale. After I bought it I found out the DLC I bought on PS5 would have carried over to PC. That's a surprise. But I still needed the skateboard DLC so I guess might as well have bought Complete. I may have paid $2 more than I had to, but I feel more comfortable owning the PC licenses to all that content, if that's even how it works.

Got Blue Prince from Fanatical.

Can anyone who played it answer a simple question for me. I'm afraid to search for an answer because I just know I'll run into spoilers.
Are there clues for puzzles and stuff in things you can't interact with?

I beat Blue Prince with very little intervention. I highly recommend you look up the ending puzzle sequence as it's torture even with a walkthrough and a bit obtuse. It's pretty obvious when you're near the end. I think only interactables give clues for puzzles and such. Be sure to read just about everything. The logic puzzles can be confusing too (the billiard room has very weird rules after a while....that you can find out....but I recommend a guide after a while too).

Alright. Thanks
I kept seeing things that I can't interact with thinking "ohh, that hand is pointing over there, is that a clue for something?"

State of Decay 2 is a pretty solid game. I tried it on gamepass, and liked it enough that I bought it on there...then I bought it on Steam when it went on sale.
Wow. Almost a triple dip, must be good. I bought the first game a long time ago, played very briefly and I didn't like it. It felt very janky and unfinished. So I never really considered 2 until last night when I was describing my ideal dream game and realized that State of Decay might be as close to it as there is.

I saw some stuff about this green zone mode that was appealing, I would like to start with the easiest mode and settings so I'm not intimidated to even start the game.

There's definitely clues in background art and such but I don't think there's any for the main puzzle that aren't interactable.

LOL... Dell is so crazy.

I been slowly buying stuff to use dell reward points. Got a keyboard this time. aw510k.
I didn't notice in the pictures, but on the keycaps, they put the default key on the top and the shift modified key on the bottom. Backwards to every other keyboard made in the past 50 years probably.
So like, the number keys are like this
1234...
!@#$...

Instead of
!@#$...
1234...

So it looks like you have to hit shift to type a number. Also did that with all keys that display a modifier. insane.

I wish I could find keycaps that were exact match except had that reversed....

Recently finished Thaumaturge (CRPG/choices matter/turn-based combat in JRPG-like arenas/murder-mystery/investigation game) this past weekend. Loved Thaumaturge - took like 38h. That was in the $12 Humble Choice from May 2025.

Also been playing Star Trek: Resurgence (TellTale-like adventure/CYOA in Star Trek universe from many ex-Telltale dev's); started that yesterday. Really enjoying ST: Resurgence, so far; I'm some almost 3 hours into it. If you like Star Trek stuff and Telltale type of adventure-games - you'll probably like this too. Need to play this some more. This is a little over $6 in the Steam Summer Sale and looks really nice on UE5.

I'm old and boring. I got one of the cheaper Canon color laser printers with my last Dell Rewards purchase.
I've been working through stuff, going to get a printer eventually. I don't want to put any cash into the purchase though, so depending on how lucky I've been with getting DRP.

We've been rocking an Epson Ecotank printer (ET-4550) for quite a while now. Aside from buying the occasional bottle of ink, and doing a recalibration now and again, it's been great. Never really had the need for a laser printer, and this worked great for getting things printed out while my son was in school.

In Steam related news, I've picked up the following so far during the sale:
- Crystal Project
- Titalfall 2
- Astrox Imperium
- X4: Foundations
- Space Engineers
- NWN - Doom of Icewind Dale

Yeah I am looking forward to getting into Thaumaturge some day. Remember liking the demo.

Thanks for the heads up about Resurgence. I grabbed that as well. I do like me some Trek.

I had to buy a new laser printer 2 days ago after my old Brother printer finally bit the dust. It has had a problem for a few years of acting dead after power outages. Until now I could eventually resurrect it, but not this time. I ended up buying another Brother because they let you use cheap third party toner. I hope this one doesn't end up with the same problem.

Well, there's your problem. You loathe printers until you finally own and operate a cheap black-only laserjet. You said ink carts. Inkjet printers have not been financially viable for decades if ever. They exist for one reason only and that's to screw you out of money, and install reminder spyware on your PC. That's why the cartridges come 10% filled.

Get yourself a cheap black laserjet and it will turn your perspective on its head. You can operate fora couple of years off of one toner refill for as little as $20.

Get a Brother laserjet like Solid Snake Eyes says. you can get one for around ~$100; the cheaper models work fine.

I have a Brother laserjet and it only does black and white, but it does it well. I got my mother an Epson Ink tank printer as well and it works surprisingly well as well. I also have a HP I got as a gift and it is very off and on. It dried up some ink so quickly on one refill it was not funny at all.

To be clear, I don't print often. But, when I do, I tend to print in volume. We have two Brother inkjets and when they sit the print heads tend to gunk up necessitating cleaning, which empties the cheapo third party ink I would buy, then would install a new set of ink cartridges, curse at it for a few hours because magenta is low when it is clearly not, then finally print sometime around 1AM only to repeat the cycle 5-11 months later.

Yep. I have an ancient (it has a usb and a parallel port on it) Samsung that I got for free and spent $20 on a 3rd party toner cart and it's been going for years.
I also have a big ass Brother color laser, that I got for $5, but the 3rd part toner I put in it just dumps toner. Not sure if it's because it's 3rd party or if it's some other consumable/replaceable part (like transfer belt or something).

How are y'all returning your damaged stuff to Amazon without a printer? I use a monochrome laser printer. I only have to change the toner like once or twice a year and I buy the cheap "recycled" ink. Definitely one of the best investments I've ever made.

You just show the place you're doing the return at the QR code amazon gives you. Haven't had to print out an actual Amazon return label in years
