We have done a sucky job of posting deals lately. The Lego Batman Movie digital download is $2.49 on Amazon Video. No idea how long that price will last.

I went into a store the other day and their section had been drastically pared back. One four foot section, sparsely stocked. I expect inventory is dwindling.

They have indeed. In fact, I believe the Jurassic World license will span Lego, Juniors, and Duplo next time around. There were a bunch of sets listed in the retailer catalog leak from a few weeks back.

Wow, that article is shit. People waiting for 10/1 were doing it "the right way?" Anyone can sign up for VIP. It's not paid or exclusive. Whoever wrote that crap just took a Lego statement and piled a bunch of assumptions on top of it.

Yes, Target, Walmart, and TRU all carry them online. Amazon usually as well. TRU is the only one that sometimes has them in store (and not usually).

I always assumed if I ever got a UCS Falcon, it would go into a coffee table. The one posted looks nice but the top being 100% glass scares me a little.

My hot take: the new Falcon will be available for at least five years and eventually see discounts. It will be in great supply. There is no reason to buy it anytime soon for full price unless you have the money and are looking to make a luxury purchase. From a Lego perspective, sure, good set...

The beauty of those classic themes (space, castle, pirates) was that there weren't a ton of customized pieces made to match licensed properties. You could truly make your own creations from those themes if you collected several different sets, as opposed to the licensed sets that have custom...

I don't understand the workforce reduction at all - Lego is still super profitable. But I agree that there are way too many sets. It's crazy. Some sets just don't have any business existing relative to all the other Lego product available.

That one is probably real. Lego has issued takedown notices for that one. They don't want us to see it.
