There's been a few games I've been lookin to pick up for a while!
COD2 - 360
Warioware - GCN
DOA4 - 360
Beautiful Katamari - 360
Mario Kart - Wii
Mario Party 8 - wii
Picked up Katamari for myself, all of them were gutted but the employee let me choose the disc that -wasnt- scratched (first one he pulled had some minor crap on it)
Don't really care that it was gutted, checked it was not ruined and was going to open-n-play it anyhow :D
I've never actually taken trash from a dumpster, but I have grabbed items from the curb. Most often my interest was strictly in computers, I only found older equipment (I believe a 'pentium' was the most powerful I came across...) but they made for some amusement in fixing em back up to working...
Was pretty disapointed with the 'Dena CC, though it seems a number of stores had gone the route of "let the customer hunt for em".
Managed to find God Hand, I -think- they had some other titles but looked already cleaned out. Very 'meh' sale. :P
Yup, pretty dead on. The price is high because there is a huge profit margin for accessories. A memory card may cost almost nothing to produce, but people will pay plenty of cash because they want to be able to save games. And companies like making more money than less money, so they charge as...
Is emulation out of the question? Someone might have created a CD-I emulator for the computer that could run the games... would be a cheap way for you to get a glimpse of why those games get such a horrible stigma
Good find on the brand new controlers :)
I aim for first-party only because third party controllers spring up odd issues at odd times.
The only third party controllers I've been happy with were because they were so ugly: Xbox and Xbox360 wired controllers that had "GAMESTOP" printed right on...
I picked one up online after it came back in stock. Also found a cheap external HD enclosure for 10 bucks after rebate that pushed it up to the point of free shipping (been looking for one for a while now too).
Movie Quotes? nah, I want to have "The Price is Right" failure noise on here :D
Trying to resist the urge to buy more games o_o
Not sure if it'd be better to place one larger sized order, where shipping goes up to 8 dollars or higher, or make smaller shipments.
As much as I'd like to see the crappier stores fold up, it bothers me just a wee bit that the retail market is becoming focused on the big corp's and only them. Sure, there would still be smaller chains and independent stores, but it'd be terrible for business if you only had 3 large stores as...
Went out to the Pasadena location today to see if they had anything left after that 50% markdown and such.
I felt pretty lucky! no idea what I was gonna find, got ahold of some nice gaming stuff.
XBox Live 12month Kit (with crimson skies) - 17.50
Nintendo Gameboy Player - 12.50
Doom 3 (xbox) -...
moojuice Pretty much covered all the big concepts. I think the left\right may be reading a little to much into it, personally. Just maintain eyecontact in a non creepy way.
Don't look at these ideas as the standard you have you have to maintain while you work there (probably have their own...
I imagine I'll be jumping on fewer deals as time goes on. I'm still pretty new here compared to many other members, and after time I'll probably grow a much thicker skin when reading about amazing deals.
Especially when I've been around long enough to anticipate when a big seasonal...
