Didn't the head of the dev team confirm on twitter that the game is coming out at $10? The shipping killed it for me but for $10 I don't mind making a run to the store.
The sale is from 10/20 - 10/25. If you still have any GC store around you this might be worth checking out since they received all the stock from other stores that were closing.
I just got an email from Game Crazy with the Buy 2 Get 1 Free promotion on all new games priced $18.99 or less. Games pictured in email are:
Infinite Undiscovery
Unreal Tournament 3 (360)
Mercenaries 2 (PS3)
Icon (PS3)
Ben 10 Alien Force (Wii)
Please feel free to list other finds.
All I got was Science Papa for $ 7.48 and two copies of World of Goo for $3.48. The stores around me are awful about updating/slashing prices on clearance items.
Oh, yeah. Thanks for that slowdive21. I went in this afternoon. Their retro collection was pretty decent and they had plenty of used games for current gen systems. The only real problem was that nothing seemed to be under $9.99. They had a Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale but for an ultra CAG $20 for three...
Ha! I got Science Papa for the Wii from the Target clearance for $7.48 today with the intention of putting it on Goozex but tried out Gazelle.com and they gave me $18.65 (including TWEET09 promo code).
Science Papa - 13.00
Amazon 5% - 0.65
TWEET09 - 5.00
Total [18.65]
Cheapy's "Chicken George" accent was suspiciously good. I don't really know what to think about that. I'm definitely picking up Pinball Hall of Fame for the PS3 though. Shipwreck was, as always, solid.
I honestly have a laundry list of used games I want to buy. I noticed the guarantee a few days ago and I quickly added some games to my wishlist on the Game Stop website that I plan to buy in the future. The list includes:
-Tokobot (PSP)
-Lost Odyssey
-Chrono Trigger
-Afro Samurai
-The Godfather...
I tried going to Game Crazy on 43rd and Ashland but the place was already closed. They had a sign on the front door that read; "Closed. Please visit our other locations at 62nd and Pulaski or 95th and Richmond." I hated that store I'm glad that store/location closed. Awful managers. Worse employees.
No one has said anything about the vibe of the stores when they go in. I want to go a GC close to me but not if the mood is too low. Especially since they might not even have anything I want. Although it could be fun if the employee gets testy I can finally tell them to fuck off.
I just read Estebon's post about which Chicago area Game Crazys are closing. It's kinda' depressing but not really. I live within walking distance to the one on 43rd and Ashland and it is, or was, awful. The only good find I had there was a complete Tetris DS used for 13$. Also, their Black...
