Best Buy price-matched this price today, and it was on the Lannister slipcover version as well. Worth a shot.

The one I bought from BB a couple days ago does not have actual DVD cases--the discs slip out of a smooth cardboard booklet.

Snagged one today at lunch at my local BB. Great deal on one of my top five shows ever. I doubt I'd have grabbed the eventual BD release anyways. That set is likely to run well into the $300-$400 range.

Went ahead and bit on the original trilogy. The prequels are truly awful and I can live without the extras.

True, and it's worth it. Awesome set. HBO's BD sets are absolutely fantastic.

There was only one version of the Star Wars saga (the individual prequel releases and the original movie box set) that ever came out on DVD, what makes you think they'll dilute their market this time by LOTRing it up?

Snagged Kagemusha, High and Low and Night of the Hunter today for around $63 shipped. Prettay, prettay, prettay good.

I think I'll bite at that price. A little over $20/movie plus extras and a full video/audio remaster. It'll probably be cheaper someday, but I doubt if it'll be by much.

Misleading title, and Deep Discount has become a terrible website. Stay away!

Warning to those who last watched the first movie when they were a teenager or younger, like me--it has NOT aged well, IMO. Rewatching it via rental might be wise before you buy the BD.

Ordered on PS3. I had planned on buying it anyway, but getting it on Mac plus $20 Amazon credit is an amazing deal. I don't even care if the price falls, the first Portal is one of my favorite games ever and I want to support Valve.

Shame that this never got released on Criterion. I would have definitely double-dipped for it then.
