Get the 120GB used, especially if you can fund it with used games (stack with edge obviously) for GC credit. Otherwise, you'll be spending way too much - seriously.

Heh Freudian much? I think we all dream of a flawless plastic drumset, but both companies are still cutting corners. My biggest beef remains that double-bass hits are impossible, and neither has addressed this with either a higher quality bass pedal or superior solution: double-bass. I expect...

You're making a good decision. The RB2 drums are a 2nd generation/iteration. They've had a full year to flesh out issues, compared to GHWT's first attempt. Reading reports online, the drums are flaking out, some within minutes or just a few hours...that's just ridiculous.

Sounds like just a patching issue.

The hi-hat to snare comment is really important. In RB, there a quite a few songs where this comes into play - the biggest example in RB2 would be Everlong. It's too bad I've never actually played the GHWT set, but I'd really like to see how this feels. 'course the problem is I doubt Everlong...

^^ You're lucky to find one with a working set. I finally found one locally, but the disc in the PS3 was GH:Aerosmith. WTF?! I asked the BB associates, they told me "we've never had GH:WT". This is when I was standing RIGHT in front of the display with 2 GH:WT instruments, and drumset...

Hmm, this should be useful for the other thread regarding RB2 vs. GHWT drums. I can't say I'm surprised. This is their first foray into drums - and as expected, they cut corners the same way RB1 did. Of course Harmonix had a year to adjust...Activision doesn't have the same luxury.

I think until someone gets it into their homes, this won't be well-known. I do know that the demo units are getting KILLED. I've been to two BB location already, and the orange cymbal is consistently broken. Then again, the RB1 pads also got killed by the general, noob public...so I dunno.

Anyone going to the Monday midnight launch of FO3? I was perusing Rockville BB for an actual, functioning GH:WT drum unit (that failed). That ended up with the employee talking about how kids are chewing on the drumsticks, girls dropping the guitars for no reason...but ended up with the guy...

I like how I noticed the magnetic circles AFTER I beat the boss (with no health remaining). Good one Mav, real good.
