PS3 hardware is fine It also has some nice exclusives already out and coming out this year (MGS, Resistance 2, Little Big Planet, Killzone, etc) Unlike last year, I can recommend a PS3 to just about anyone.

EA got the rights to put out a lot of boardgames a while back, like Monopoly and Life and some others. So I'm sure those will show up eventually.

Hoping it fixes audio syncing issues I had with 2.4 with podcasts i downloaded and copied over to the ps3 (The non HD versions of Playvalue from Itunes). They were fine before, but after 2.4 the audio sync was off by about a second. I forget the file format, but all my other videos were fine...

Really doubtful. Games generally dont change going from the original to platinum line. There are sometimes exceptions, like Lost Planet Colonies or DMC 3 on the PS2. Maybe if the dev wanted to pick up a few extra sales they could toss them in, but I don't see many doing it.

Depends on the game, your service provider, and your router. I'm on DSL and haven't had any problem playing anything unless the games themselves were laggy.

I'd like to try it, but no Mac version yet. From what I've heard it still has a few kinks in it, and youtube streaming isn't very smooth at all.
