I was about to reply that $30 w/ free shipping is pretty good for SF4, but looking at Gamestop, it seems the price has dropped to $39.99 ($34.99 used). I have too many games now as it is, so I'll wait for it to hit around $20.
Had to purchase online since they didn't site-to-store anywhere near me, so with tax and shipping it was a little less than $20. Still less than paying $24.99 for a used copy at Gamestop, plus the game is awesome so I felt it well worth the $20.
FYI for those that live near the Blockbuster in Laurel, Maryland: They're pretty much out of Xbox 360 games. I saw 2 copies of Condemned 2, GH: Aerosmtih, Mercs 2, and Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.
Normally I would disagree with you and be like "You don't know what you're talking about, the old-school games are SO much better than next-gen ones", but I kinda have to agree.
I never played Chrono Trigger when it first came out, and trying to play it on my DS years and years later was...
Having the disc in is a small price to pay for the amount of XBLA games you're getting. Buying them separately on XBL would cost way more than $10. Plus you can sell the disc once you get bored of it.
And yes, Pac-Man C.E. is awesome.
It's called nostalgia. Nothing ever lives up to what you played as a kid because you were less discerning than you are now. I used to think all the older NES games I played were great and nothing current could ever top them, but then I play little gems like Shadow of the Colossus :)
Too bad there isn't a Frys near me I would definitely jump on it because I can't stand the multiplayer in Gears 2. If anyone's willing to buy one for me, I'd be willing to pay S/H plus a few bucks extra for you.
Thread convinced me to buy this. I'm not a huge shmup fan by any means, but I'm all for supporting a company that plans on releasing more shmups (Radiant Silvergun please?) if sales are good.
Played for 2 1/2 years when the Japanese version came out. It was my first MMO, and while I enjoyed it, it was a HUGE timesink. I would literally sit there for hours sometimes trying to set up a party. That said, the level sync option sounds really nice.
To any new players that want to try...
Traded in a couple of weeks ago. It's a decent game. Very strategic, but matches, especially in the later levels, last forever and it was hard for me to find people online. I just didn't have the patience for it but may pick it up later.
Don't expect "next-gen" graphics either. It looks...
