I highly doubt it, I mean like 99% chance it won't work like that. So if you're not planning on buying a PS3, you should probably hold off on buying PS3 games.
It took me 3-4 years to appreciate these games, I played the original not too long after it came out and I just put it back on the shelf, but last year I started it back up again and it was brilliant, definitely in my top 10.
I'd recommend that you did the engine swap mod, it upgrades the first game to the BG2 version of the infinity engine. It takes some time, but it definitely takes the edge off the fact that the game is 14 years old.
Haze at least had some interesting ideas, even if it was the game that sent FreeRadical to the developer graveyard. Also both games were launch titles and both studios closed after their release, just incase you were wondering why most studios avoid releasing launch titles.
Yakuza: Dead Souls sold 520,000 worldwide (physical), which is by far the worst of the series. 5 however has sold about the same amount in Japan alone, so it will definitely be getting a worldwide release.
