    The Official Craigslist Finds Thread!

Made a really nice Craigslist find a couple of weeks ago. \ A guy had this lot listed at $100, but I emailed him and offered him $50. He called me back an hour or two later, really expressing how badly he needeed the cash. It was about 9pm and he ended up being about 30 minutes away, but...

    Thrift Store Thread 2012

My thrift store finds have been solid lately, and actually have been outperforming my yard sale finds in the last month or so. These were found here and there in May/June at various thrifts in my area. I won't give you a price per game breakdown, but every game was between $4 and $6 when...

    Official 2012 Yard Sale Thread

It's been a few weeks since I posted anything. One week I was in Florida, a couple of weeks I went out and found nothing noteworthy, and I actually slept in for the past 2 weeks. I'm glad I did that actually; it really recharged my yardsaling battery for a strong second half of the year. It...

    Official 2012 Yard Sale Thread

Had a great day this past Saturday. Got out early, hit up a sale that advertised games but turned out to be a bust (overpriced crap), then hit up a few community sales, spent over $100 throughout the morning but it was well worth it. As is generally true, I found most of my best stuff at or...

    The Official Craigslist Finds Thread!

Been about a month since I made a good craigslist find, but I snagged this n64 lot a couple of days ago. Seller originally asked $100, but I told him I couldn't go that high. Made an offer of $70, took it for $75. A bit on the higher end of my price range, and I literally would not have...

    Official 2012 Yard Sale Thread

Considered going to a fairly promising sale an hour away on Saturday, but reconsidered and ended up sticking close to home. Can't complain too much with my decision, as I had a decent day. DS Lite was $12, Grandia, Squirtle, and sealed Creepy Crawlers set were each $1. All from different...

    Official 2012 Yard Sale Thread

Missed the previous weekend's sales due to having to attend a wedding, so I was pretty anxious to get going on Saturday morning. I was in the area I planned on working by 6:30am for 7am start-time sales, and hit a number of sales just setting up. I probably hit 15 sales before I saw another...

    Official 2012 Yard Sale Thread

I'll second this. Being polite and not coming off as a dirtbag definitely helps a lot. I spend a few seconds browsing before I ask nicely if they have any old video games. Jumping out of the car, running right up the seller on a mission to loot anyting of value tends to raise suspicion. You have...

    Official 2012 Yard Sale Thread

I'm not going to BS you all this week and say I had an average day. My day was above average, even for my own standards. Theme of the day turned out to be Nintendo handhelds and games, which is fine by me (easy to store, easy to ship). I even woke up a little later than I had planned (ended up...

I wish that picture was mine, but it is not. I see how you might think that, though. Berber carpet + heavy-hitting games. I'll take it as a compliment.

    Official 2012 Yard Sale Thread

Well, I had a pretty average day by my standards. I didn't see any sales that caught my attention during my friday night search, so I hit a community yard sale in a very affluent area with many houses...might not go there again. It was far away, the sales were a bit too spread out in this...

    Official 2012 Yard Sale Thread

Wow, epic day overall man. You easily beat my finds by a mile, though I didn't do half bad either. I just want to point out that the Pokemon Crystal game can be fixed by replacing the battery. It requires a special nintendo game bit (screwdriver), and a new battery, along with light soldering...

    Official 2012 Yard Sale Thread

I know what you are saying, but my first instinct was to buy everything in sight first, and ask questions later (rule #1 of yardsaling). The stuff was coming out of the house in waves, so it also wasn't all there at once. There were 16 games in the first purchase, and I originally offered $25...

    Official 2012 Yard Sale Thread

Had a solid outing today, even after I woke up an hour after I had planned. Anyways, I hit my first sale just as he was opening at 7:30am and searched through his mostly junky ps1/ps2 games. Managed to pull outy Myst and DDR Disney Remix for $1 each. Maddening was the fact that I found a Tomba...

    Loser's Weepers Thread

Missed a disc only copy of New Super Mario Bros Wii today at a yard sale. Some old lady picked it up for $2 as I was parking. No biggie, but slightly annoying.

    Thrift Store Thread 2012

I see the same crap most of the times I go to Goodwill, as well. In the event that they even have a system for sale, it is generally priced at or above ebay prices. It is also generally dirty, and missing wires or something else. I get that they want to make some money off of it, but they need...

    Thrift Store Thread 2012

That's a pretty cool find. The Zelda puts it over the top. If you hook it up and it has a blinking red light and/or doesn't load games well, keep in mind that it's probably an easy fix, requiring a screw driver, 20-30 minutes, and an 8 dollar 72 pin connector.

Official Sears Clearance Thread II - post Sears finds/deals here

I've often seen games with last month's stickers, but they have the new, lowered price in the system. They probably just haven't gotten around to changing them yet.

    Yet More Craigslist Stupidity!

I remove stickers from game cases/carts using Goo Gone. It works very well. It can leave a slightly oily residue. To clean that up, I use rubbing alcohol.

    The Official Craigslist Finds Thread!

I've been making on average 1 solid craigslist find a week for awhile now. This one was definitely worthy of pics. Got everything in the below pics for $50 (didn't bargain, I generally don't if I'm ok with the asking price, since I don't want to get a phone call when I'm driving to meet the guy...
