If you are an achievement hunter, Dante's Inferno isn't too bad until you get to the DLC. One set takes about 10 minutes tops, and the trials in the other one are pretty frustrating. There are also 'rumors' floating around that the servers will close, but I haven't seen anything really happen...

If I remember correctly, you don't get to travel through the giant one-eyed obstacle until a third of the way through the game. I think you have to enter the valley (the monster blocking the path is straight ahead) and head left to continue the story.
