Amazon has to charge tax in NY because they aren't getting rid of their affiliate program here. Their affiliate program gives them a 'physical location' in NY which means they need to tax. I don't like it, but Amazon usually has great prices so the extra bit of tax isn't a huge deal.

The OS is a little unstable, I've had about 3 blue screens, versus almost none on 7. However, the start up is so much faster, and the OS is speedier as a whole. How could anyone think the new Start Menu is worse than the old one? The old one was just a list, the new one is a whole new desktop...
