I couldn't believe they even had one in stock, but if you can find it @ a CC B&M it's definitely a steal at that price especially since it's brand new :)
No luck at the Cuyahoga Falls/Akron, OH CC. Almost all the games I had were value stickered, and the ones that weren't (Jimmy Neutron Gc and Gungrave) still scanned at full price. Might go back this weekend and ask em to scan the on-box UPC but I doubt my luck will change.
I would almost guarantee that the stickered games will not change in price on Sunday. Like I said before, it's a different set of inventory. The value stickered games are a completely different product in CC's eyes.
The one on the front is the same as the UPC sticker on the back, it's different from the one on the box.
has anyone asked the cashier to scan the bar code on the front of the games with the stupid value stickers on the back? I'm leaving out soon, and I was just curious.
GBA:
Fire Emblem - $4.99
Damn, there were about 7 of these at the La Cienega CC in Los Angeles.

The 4 or so titles from the list were stickered, except the lone La Pucelle -- which I snagged. They had about 12 Mark of Kri's, but that rang up as $25. ::rolls eyes::

Ah man Unlimited Saga is in? Crap. The last one I went to, an hour away, had four without stickers but I thought someone said earlier it didn't work for them so I left them. Argh.

Managed to snag State of Emergency GH PS2 and XGrav XBox.

Lol, I checked Mark of Kri also. The last time it was $5, I had snagged the last one off the shelf, but someone came in looking for it, so I let him have it.

I checked Unlimited Saga, it scans in at $14.99, NOT 1.99.

I bought one just in case in "magically moves" to 1.99 on Sunday.

Add:
PS2 Monster 4x4: Masters of Metal to the 1.99 list.

Also found GBA Hulk at 1.99. Saw several of the other GBA titles already stickered at "value"

Hey Z,

Which one did you go to, Brooklyn? If so, do they have any copies of State of Emergency or Xgrav left? And how many Unlimited Sagas did they have?

THATS LIKE 140 GAMES. HOLY BUTT MAGIC MONKEY FLYING CRAP!

Please update the front page list, OP!
Thanks for the updated list

I'm gonna have to go back again tomorrow now! :D
This is three trips this week alone...but really, I just want Fire Emblem now. Hopefully mine still has one copy hidden somewhere. I didn't notice it today, but you never know what you'll find when you dig through the back of the racks at my CC...it's like going back in time!
i found nothing in Brea, CA circuit city. they had a few titles on the list, but the value sticker was placed over the original :(
Thanks...now I don't got to go there and waste my time. :D

Well I went to mine and all the games rang up around 20 dollars each. I was pissed.

And for the people who flamed me:
You all suck and I hope you die.
Beyond Good and Evil for GC is ringin up 20. should be taken off the list.
Did it have the sticker over the UPC?
Beyond Good and Evil for GC is ringin up 20. should be taken off the list.
I got one last night for $1.99, but it didn't have a Value UPC sticker on it (just the original).

The only really good game that I've found in my 6 trips to 3 different CC's. =(
Did it have the sticker over the UPC?
Yeah, this is starting to get real confusing...In the past couple of pages, there are conflicting accounts about BG&E and Unlimited Saga...If you don't understand how this sale works then don't bother confusing people.

If there is a value UPC sticker on the back of the case it will NOT ring up for $1.99.

Went to the CC near Eastridge Mall and found nothing. All of the games that were there that are on the list had the stickers on all of them. Wanted to get the Jade Empire strat guide too but they said that it would come in tomorrow.

FYI. The Unlimted Saga I bought, had no stickers on it at and scanned in @ $14.99
I have scanned this at two separate location and they both came up at $14.99, the labelled price..

but YMMV...

i've had the employees search for a price by searching the names on their database and was coming up with non-$1.99 prices. yes, there were stickers on the original upc.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up...Unless your store specifically changed the price in the system, then it should be $14.99 everywhere.
My Circuit City didn't have anything for $1.99---what exactly does B&M stand for?
B&M stands for Brick & Mortar, which means the actual "physical" store, like, your local Circuit City for example, as opposed to the online Circuit City.

BG&E on Gamecube came up 1.99 for me, didn't have any extraneous stickers/UPC codes on it.

Silpheed scanned at 9.99, which is what it was marked at. There was an added UPC on the back. The clerk typed it into the machine - he couldn't scan it. There were two copies, both identical, so I only had him bother with one. No luck.

Did manage to grab two 2-pack PS games with Soul Reaver/Master Blaster each.

They had an X-men Dimension and a Morrowind, but they had extra stickers...I might go back again later.

If anyone wants to trade for one of the 2 packs or for Soul Reaver alone (I only wanted one BM and took the last two packs they had), PM me about a trade.

I just got back from my local CC. Gladiator: Sword of Vengeance, and Gungrave: Overdose didn't ring at $1.99, but at their own respective prices. I never saw Gungrave the original before though. As again, some games had the Screamin Deals stickers on them, and the back of them were tagged with a replacement UPC. However, one game I saw was Road Trip (not RT: Adventure Avenue). There were 3 in the store. One of them had a "Screamin Deals sticker, but the other two didn't. I picked one up, and was scanned at $1.99, and the other at $14.99. I bought 1. My store had one stack of untagged Frogger's Adventures The Rescue on the normal games shelf for the GameCube. I bought 2.

So it's possibly still going on?
Well the only game I'd want would be La Pucelle...but the others might trade in for 7ish bucks at EB if I'm lucky, checking beforehand though.

No luck at the Montebello,ca store, they only had a few Powerdromes. But one thing that I did notice they had way more Primals than any store that I have ever seen.

I have verification that those two (Xbox Gladiator Sword of Vengeance and Gungrave: Overdose) DO NOT ring up at $1.99, even with the original bar codes (no stickers on them). In fact, I'm sure a CAG had beaten me to them because they were the only games from the list that I found at this particular CC and they were sitting on the top of the value bin. This was at Jantzen Beach in Portland. Got an Xbox Powerdrome though.

Damn, I wish one of the CC's around here had the Frogger game - I actually want to get that one to PLAY with my kids... All of the Portland area CC's are bereft of ANY Gamecube titles from the list, and have pretty pathetic GC sections in general. Only one of the 4 CC's I checked had any non-value stickered games from the list. I might have to go back there a 3rd time since the list keeps doubling every time I get back - doh!

i tried two CC's and came up totally empty handed...oh well..may have been cleaned out but it seems they didn't have jack....thanks for the lists though...brb

For $2, I highly recommend the GBA version of X2: Wolverine's Revenge, if you can find it. I'm playing it right now, and it's waaaay better than the console versions of the game. Totally different developers, totally different type of game.

Thanks for the recommendation ... I bought it and wasn't sure if it was even worth the $2.

Damn!! I get to the local CC, and most of the games on the list have a stickered-on barcode under a "value program" for 9 bucks each. When I got them to check the price, it didn't come up in the system. Talk about Fubared.. I really wanted to get Silpheed back
Thanks for the recommendation ... I bought it and wasn't sure if it was even worth the $2.
No problem, nwaugh. I just wanted to let people know that the game isn't the same as the console versions, even though it has the same name and even came out on the same day. For $2, it'd be a shame to pass it up just because the other one sucked.

So has anyone actually confirmed any of the newer games off the expanded list....such as MX SuperFly, Frogger Adventures, Fire Emblem etc?

Or is it still speculation about a Sunday sale?

Only one person has commented on Fire Emblem and said it didn't work.
GC is Gamer's Cartel.com - sorry for the delayed response, school and all. ^_^
No problem man. Never heard of that website before.

I checked the Unlimited Saga PS2 that I bought and it still scanned at $14.99 so I returned it. I'm also waiting on confirmation for Fire Emblem since the person who stated it was $4.99, also stated Unlimited Saga was $1.99.

Headed back to Lakewood, Ca store and found a Cat in the Hat PS2. I thought what the hell, the kid might like it so I took it up with Splashdown PS2, XGRA PS2, Barbie Horse Adventure PS2. Cat in the Hat rang up for $1.99, while the others rang up for $14.99, $9.99, $19.99 respectively. The cashier saw the $1.99 though and told me I had to wait while she got a price override to change the $1.99 price. I just left, I didn't want Cat in the Hat that much anyway. So stay away from the Lakewood store, their policy seems to be to override the price to the sticker price.

froggers good, rang up 1.99 GC version. i feel kind of horrid for buying it and trading it in since a dude a few pages back wanted to play it with his kids.

= /

scorch i got that new NIN, what you think?
Fire Emblem rung up $29.99 for me. And there were no stickers over the UPC or anything value game related.
Yaeh, as soon as I read that somebody got it for 4.99 I tried to shoot through my work and ran straight to CC. I, sadly, got shot down . They had the game but it came up for 29.99 and it had no value stickers or any other type of stickers on it. It must be a YMMV title or something like that.

I stopped at another CC and picked up MX Superfly XB and I-Ninja GCN. I can confirm that MX Superfly for GCN is $1.99.

I found some older games that I thought would be clearanced - namely Star Wars Bounty Hunter for GCN and Haunted Mansion for GCN but both showed up at $14.99.

I found a Haunted Mansion without the value sticker on it but when they tried to scan the original barcode on the back of the box - the computer said no such game in inventory.

CSR checked Haunted Mansion and the XB version of the game showed a price of $1.99.

Also strangely, I found a GCN version of Batman Return of Sun Tzu (or whatever the title is) with the lithograph inside the box but it rang up $49.99 full price when I bought one two days ago for $1.99 - what's up with that?

That's all I have.

I don't want to insult anyone, but the 4.99 price seems a little too good to be true. I probably would have asked for a manager if I knew there was a chance of scoring a new copy of Fire Emblem for $5.

Edit: Well, a higher manager :) I just re-read the original post.

There's only three tracks that have leaked from it, so far so good.
