I couldn't believe they even had one in stock, but if you can find it @ a CC B&M it's definitely a steal at that price especially since it's brand new :)
According to a post on FW, a list of games will be sent to stores through e-mail on Friday and the clearance prices will range from $1.99 to $12.99 depending on the game. If that's true, I hope some newer games might be on clearance for $12.99.

Oh man, that range is big enough to hold some hidden gems - hopefully! Awesome! XD

Some of these games are actually decent, good/great if you compare it to the TRU clearance games! So please do not hoard the games just to trade them in to stores.

Employees Attitude: They could care less .

Hot damn! I just got these off of GC's forum as being confirmed as part of the sale:

Alter Echo (PS2)
Spawn: Armageddon (PS2/XB)
Gungrave (PS2)
Disaster Report (PS2)
Gunvalkyrie (XB)
New Legends (XB)

I would love for a Gungrave, if someone is able to obtain an extra copy. ^_~

Finally two games that havent been put on the list: Jeopardy and Street Hoops for the PS2. For those wondering, I traded in Jeopardy to Gamerush and got $10 of credit.
You traded in Jeopardy? you could have at least played thats one for a while, I have had so much fun with the copy I got last summer from CC, my wife and I played that for hours

BTW, was the street hoops you picked up a GH version or not, I recall seeing a GH copy in my CC bin, just didnt know if it had the sticker or not...

You should have kept Jeopardy to play for a while, my wife and I LOVE that game (picked it up for 5 last summer)

Damn... more games for the list... Ill have to go BACK and check over the gungraves, and street hoops for stickers

I was wondering why no one mentioned GBA. Personally, I found these for $1.99:

Bionicle
Medal of Honor
X2 Wolverine Revenge
Banjo Kazooie

Altamonte, FL

Hope this helps

I just checked CCs website and Jimmy Neutron(GCN) and Tetris Worlds(GCN) show up as $1.99, but when I tried to check out they showed OOS. Does that mean they are part of the list?

Thanks, skygunnerblue!

Forgive me for making assumptions based on your noobness, but I am guessing these games had CC's value UPCs covering the original UPCs.

That's correct. Only works with original barcode. The problem I've run into is that I have seen some of these games but they have the new upc covering the original !!! too bad

That is correct, before I knew about the sticker restrictions, I had found alot of games there the first day... but only my LaPucelles scanned 2 bucks, closer inspection yesterday yeilded only a Project Eden, which was one of many, but this was the only one withOUT the sticker

Assuming this sale actually does start sometime soon and the new barcodes covering the original will ring up $1.99 at that time, why not start buying up the games now? Basically you can just go back and get a price adjustment in a couple days. Plus if it doesn't work out the way you thought, you still have the receipt and can return everything. Fool proof?

Proof that there are fools in the world? YES!
Four GBA games.. we need a list of more GBA games! Everyone go try, 1.99 GBA games would be GREAT!
I agree that a list of GBA games would be excellent.
For what it's worth, Mario Kart (I thought this was in the list for last year's clearance) was full price when I checked...

sorry if this has been said but just a FYI to anyone trying out the Fort Wayne indiana CC. They repackaged all the 1.99 games into their value lines 9.99-19.99. Ahh well.

Just got back from my CC, and I can confirm that X2: Wolverine's Revenge for GBA is $1.99. Mine still had it in with the full-price GBA games. My store didn't have any of the other four that have been listed, though.

I did also notice a few GBA games that are likely candidates:
Magical Quest 2 starring Mickey & Minnie
American Idol
Fire Pro Wrestling
Some Wild Thornberries Game
Some arcade compilations

All of these are pretty old, and I'd have scanned them except they ALL had the value stickers at my store. If you find 'em without the stickers, scan 'em and let everyone else know.
did they at least give credit where its due?
Nope. The sure didn't. Just "I saw this on the other board"

Shoot, I just saw Magical Quest 2 without the sticker but didn't have them scan it. I'm not sure if that's the Magical Quest listed on the CC $5 sale list or not. If it is it's $1.99. I found a copy of Earthworm Jim GBA at my CC, somehow this survived and rang up at $1.99. Forget about Mario Kart Super Circuit, it's $29.99.

EDIT: LOL! Just found out there are 4 different Disney Magical Quest games for the GBA.

Um, sort-of. They mentioned `byte$izedeals.' Well, it was (sort-of) good while it lasted.

As a taste of the `discussion' on FW:

Edit: THE NEXT PIECE OF TEXT IS A _QUOTE_ FROM FATWALLET, for those of you who had trouble parsing my initial post:

"Be careful.. many people like me have cleared CC out completely of all $1.99 titles. Not that there was much left in the first place. Grabbed 28 games yesterday and that is all she wrote for 3 stores here. Today I'm going to try and get worst buy to price match what I got over at CC. Tried it last night and they basically came up with every excuse in the book to deny doing the pricematch until they finally said they just weren't going to do it. I was tired last night and didn't feel like arguing after all the hassle I had of driving for 3 hours to get what I did from CC. Today I'm going back and taking no prisoners. Taking all my receipts and MAKING worst buy adhere to their price match policy as they put on a big frikking sign behind the service counter. Which hopefully means I'll be getting a whole lot of $0.20 games."

Good god. I guess getting 28 games for $2 apiece wasn't a good enough deal. O__O

Wow, that sounds like a good way to piss off stores and screw us all over.

Well, if you go back for one more look around (you know you want to! :D), scan that Magical Quest game. The UPCs are probably really easy to peel off of those GBA games, but since I've been trying to take the high ground on that issue, I didn't do it. :p It would be nice to just have the name for the list, though, so others can look for it if they want to pick it up.

I just picked up the following:

PS2:
Eve Of Extinction
Oni
ESPN X-Games Skateboarding
Shadowman 2: Second Coming

Xbox:
New Legends

GBA:
Banjo Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge

I've been following that thread for a few days now. That guys a dick. He keeps adding on to his lame story about how he complained about a BB manager not price-matching to corporate and it went all the way to the area manager. At which time he went to BB and told the manager to call this guy and he ended up getting the games for $1.99. Woo hoo, way to go...

I hate some of these fatwallet people that think it's there duty to exploit policies and make sure companies lose money. When actually all he did was effect the bottom line of that manager's store making him look bad. Best Buy overall isn't effected by his stupid $80-180 savings.

Thanks for being such a dick. I'm sure all the legitimate customers will have you to thank as well once Best Buy eliminates their price match policy because you were such a selfish, greedy a-hole about it this time.

No kidding...some of these people are beyond ridiculous. I guess they have no shame marching into BB demanding that they sell 'em a bunch of $2 games. Personally I'd be embarrassed to do so, I'd know I'd be pissing off a bunch of people there.

Have any of you picked up a copy of drakan? I've been looking around for cheap, new copy, but almost no one has this game in town. I would like to buy it or trade a few guides for it. PM me please.

I also stopped by my cc in Fort Wayne. Nothing.

I really wonder how effective this will be since in the policy it states:

"It does not apply to competitor's one-of-a-kind or other limited quantity offer" ..?

Getting mad at BB is not a solution, they are only doing thier job. .

New one to add to the list

Star Wars : Racer Revenge

I just loved the look on the cashier's face when I did the price check for that one, her and the guy checking receipts looked like they wanted to just run back there to see what they could grab.
Sounds like if you don't run out of the store with a stolen game you should be alright.
 This was from earlier but I was just reading it now and found this hilarious.
