TimPV3 and I were scheduled for an 11 p.m. EST game tonight, but I didn't see him for an hour. I hope we can reschedule for tomorrow, but I've not heard from him since earlier this afternoon and his mailbox is full.

I've already PMed dyeknom, but I figure it can't hurt to post it here too...

My Wii can't connect to the internet right now. My laptop's fine, but for the Wii to get onto the university's network, they've got to manually register my console's MAC address. Until they do that, my Wii can't do anything online. :whistle2:(

I should be able to play my match this week, I hope, but I'm not sure how long it'll take before they get around to registering my console.

We tried to have the match last night, but TimPV3 couldn't make it. I've tried to reschedule the match, but nothing's happened so far. I don't know if TimPV3 would like to use his bye, but I can make it up whenever.

Man, I'm really disappointed at my schedule (no offense to my opponents)
I was just hoping for a whack load of ranked matches

I can do Friday 8pm PST and later, Sat 12-4pm PST. Those are the only 2 days we can play if its on the weekend.

We'll wait until Wednesday. That'll give me time to process the recordings too since these matches have been some of the longest I've played.

I believe Olimar has the longest grab range in the game (maybe behind Samus), so I've been trying to take advantage of that recently and get combos coming out of throws as well. I've been trying to do some reverse grabs as well, but I don't think there are any in the matches we've played that I remember. I'll have to go back and look.

You should play Bavgate, his Olimar is pretty good. Unfortunately he doesn't play online Brawl much.
 
Yeah, classes are making me extremely busy so I literally have no time to play online. I could try to put in some time tonight, though, if you're up for it Blue. Just no Olimar dittos, please!

In case you're wondering why I chose Olimar against you, it's because I wasn't used to such a good Olimar and felt my Olimar would have a better chance compared to my other characters. I also wanted to learn. I don't think you minded though at that time.
 
I hate Olimar dittos as well, yet I don't mind any other character as a ditto. Olimar's unique playstyle just makes dittos that much more annoying and difficult to play with. I wouldn't mind playing you though Bavgate, to see how your Olimar stocks up against mine in general against my other characters.

Of course I didn't mind! It was just practice, so I didn't really care what characters were chosen. It was pretty fun too. I haven't been in any Olimar dittos for awhile, so I guess you can say that I was just warming up for any Olimar dittos I might encounter at this Saturday's tournament. Gosh, that's going to suck. :lol:

Yeah, Olimar dittos just turn into a Fsmash fest. You can't really grab because if your opponent is in grab range, you're in their grab range too. I don't mind not being able to figure out which Pikmin are mine (it's sort of easy to eyeball it now), but after that, on a scale of 1-10 of how hard the match-up is, I rank it as ANNOYING. That's why all Olimar dittos should be NOlimar dittos (no Pikmin)! :rofl:

It's not too bad with Pikmin considering they follow you around most of the time. Its just annoying when they are desynced with Olimar as you have no idea which Pikmin are yours until you call them, not to mention flying off the stage and having less Pikmin than you originally thought.

Olimar matches without Pikmin? I hadn't ever thought of that. That's a fantastic idea, although I imagine those matches would go into the high percentage considering that a Pikmin-less Olimar has little to no killing moves. ;)

I won't be around until late tonight, but will be around later this week. I'll be sure to add you once I get back home.

Some slight lag, but otherwise a very solid match. I pulled a really bad string of Pikmin for the % Rig's Kirby was at at around 3:40 (3 whites) so I had a hard time killing him with those. You can see me trying to throw them away in the minute or so following. :lol:

A very clean match I think, other than me walking into Kirby's down b, not once but twice. I feel I played decently better in this one than in the first, although I still remained fairly conservative.

The exciting conclusion? Does Rig flex his muscle and take names in the third round? Does BlueLobstah stage a comeback and mop the floor in the next game? You'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out. Ha! :hot:
