If anyone can find out for me how much credit FYE gives for Legend of Zelda Master Quest GC, I'd appreciate it!
If the trade in credit is only 25 cents you should probably ebay that, it gets about $20-30 used.

I ran into the classic problem of an FYE employee not being able to find XB Malice in the system yesterday. The problem was when I suggested to try a title scan for the copy, the manager at first ignored me and set the game aside. She completed the transaction without it, and I asked again if she could do the title search. She flat out told me it was "too much of a hassle" to do the search. I assured her it was there in the system, and she said I was probably right but repeated it was "too much of a hassle" and handed the game back.

Now I know we are making out like bandits from this store, but this still seemed to me like a really rude thing to do to a customer. I'm thinking about sending a complaint off about the manager. Do you think it would be justified?
If the trade in credit is only 25 cents you should probably ebay that, it gets about $20-30 used.
Definitely eBay Zelda OOT/MQ, much better return than any trade in that I know of on that game.

As for looking up games, the only time I've been refused was when the employees said that they couldn't accept games that wouldn't scan. Probably they made up this "policy" on the spot, since other FYE employees have done it by manually looking up games that wouldn't scan.
Anybody know how much Outlaw Golf: 9 More Holes of X-Mas fetches at FYE?
\\

It's not in the system but I've seen some emplyoees type it in as Outlaw golf (the original) but that is only $6.

PS2 - Harry Potter & Prisioner of Azkaban - $18

This is specific to the outer packaging saying that a movie ticket is included.

If anyone cares about my being investigated in Orlando & Daytona... (reference my post from a few pages back)

I returned to the store (and the mall for that matter) for the first time since the 25th. I asked the clerk if the Manager was in, and he paged him. After a minute or two, this fellow comes up. This was the acting Manager today, but not the same fellow who spoke with me. We tried figuring out who it was I talked to. He said the General Manager was taller than him, had dark hair and a goatee. Except for that "being taller" part, that sounded about right. Hmm... Anyway, I asked him about my "investigation," and he says he hasn't heard of anything of the sort. He said he was out of town that following weekend, but if there was really a problem, you'd think he'd be informed about it.

::shrug::

The other fellow will be working 10-5, I was told, so I may stop in tomorrow and see what's up.
Today I got road kill(.99 cents) and 3 primals at my t r us in new york again. Then I got Star War clone wars V1.
I assume Primal was green tagged? I noticed some today at my TRU, but I decided against it because I figured there was no way 90 percent off was still going on. But hey, if it is, maybe ill give it a shot.

Otherwise, I might throw in the flag on FYE trade ins. Of the two stores within my area, one has stopped all trade ins, and the other is intensely picky about scratches and taking in more than one game. I'm gonna call the first store to see if theyll start taking games in again. If not, I'll be stuck with a Room Zoom and FSS.

Thank You CAG for the deal and Thank You FYE for your outrageous trade-in prices. Now a PSP and 7 games (1 PS2 and 6 PSP) happier just because of this one deal. Sure I had to drive around to all the FYEs and COCONUTS but it is waaaaay worth it! Thanks again woot!

Man don't sweat it..some of these guys are just idiots. If they actually had some sense they would do something reasonable rather than giving out these insane trade in prices or excluding people from trading in a game. I understand they don't want 500 Room Zooms, but they could just give a lower trade value for it due to how many they have in stock. If they implemented something like that i wouldn't have a problem with it, but everytime i go there now the manager that is there jerks the games from me and acts like a douche telling me that he has too many of each of the games. I don't understand how these people aren't out of business. I'm aware of their inflated prices, but i don't see how people still shop there.

People in general (not talking about everyone here who shops there because of the store credit) shop there for covience or because they are lazy. Some people just don't want to go to another store outside of the mall once they are already in the mall and I guess would rather pay a few dollars more for a CD or DVD than have to make another stop at another store.

I don't understand why they don't lower the trade in values on certain games either. It seems to be, once they realize they are giving too much for a game, they just lower the value down to a penny instead of a gradual lowering of trade in values. Like with Sneakers, instead of it going from $27 to $0.01, I think they should have lowered it to maybe $6 or $7.50 and then after a while, lower it to $4 or $5 like gamestores.

You would think the FYE (and all their affiliates) would drop the trade-in prices. But think about it. The majority of the stuff that's traded in there are games. I've never walked into an FYE and seen a huge stack or CD's or DVD's behind the counter that someone has traded-in. They have to give you good trade-in values to compensate for their insane game prices. If they gave the same trade-in values as normal game stores would you even think about trading anything there? Plus they don't run any trade-in deals that I'm aware of. It would take sooooo many games for the customer to trade-in just to get that used copy of Motor Trend that sells for $43.99 (at least it's that price at the FYE I visit).

Another thing that I was thinking is that I bet that they never about a site like this and customers finding out exactly the trade-in values of certain games. This thread is a year or so old (basing this on the old thread) and look how long it's taken for us (CAG's) to come up with the list of buy low, trade-in for insane credit games. And it keeps on growing. Also for every one of us there's got to be hundred's possibly thousands of uninformed customers who don't know about their trade-in values.

Well that's my 2 cents.

WHAT?! Sneakers is a penny? It can't be!
Eggmania for XBOX is $18, it's $4.99 new at EB B&M.
Hmm... I think I may pick it up now for my personal collection. I tried it once before trading in a copy and found it to be pretty decent. But then I valued its trade-in value more than its gameplay.

Thanks for the heads-up.

I thought it was throw in the towel? lol

Well, I'm done with FYE, they're hard to deal with and they're bound to change the system sooner or later. I'm just going to use whatever credit I have and then hope I never go there ever again. Besides, I think relying on FYE is a bad thing =/

That's the same way i felt, UNTIL i asked an employee about the Xbox 2 & he said they WOULD BE GETTING IT IN!!!

Today at Wherehouse Music:

FF Crystal Chronicles 22.19
Shadow Ops 22.19
Spyro: A Hero's Tail $11
X-Men Legends $17 (didn't trade this, just wanted to know for future reference)
Malice $27 (clerk had to put this one in manually)
NFL Street 2 22-23 (it was one of these,I don't have the original receipt anymore)

The only two that I paid more than $10 for were NFL Street 2 ($15) and Shadow Ops ($13.50). Since this Wherehouse Music is running a b3g1 sale (yuck, especially with their prices) I decided to pick these up for EB fodder:

Hitman 2 $15
Mechassault (PH) $15
Enter the Poo (Matrix) $15

These are going to EB tonight for another PSP game. And for my free game that I'm keeping I got another copy of Klonoa 2 ($15). I traded my last copy to another CAG.

And thanx Strider for the heads up on Eggmania. Time to milk this one for all it's worth.

For anyone who's sent anything to wherehouse.com - their website states: "You can Sell as much merchandise as you like at one time, however, we will only accept one piece of a particular title from each customer." Does this mean in one sell transaction, or throughout your entire selling history? If I send them TimeSplitters any given day, do you think they'll reject another one that I send a week later in a different transaction?

Why screw yourself over like that? You spent $45.00 (of FYE store credit) on games you don't want, so you can trade them for a PSP game that costs $39.99. Wouldn't it have been easier to just buy the PSP game at EB Games? Even after tax, it would have been cheaper than $45.00. Or better yet, use your store credit to buy the PSP game at FYE? Stop letting FYE win! :p

I got a free game out of it for one. And an uncommon one at that. Plus I've already gotten 2 PSP's from FYE. And once I retrun that PSP game that I'm gonna get from EB I'll only be $20 or so short from getting another PSP from there. The store credit is cool. But when you can turn store credit into cash it's that much better. Hope this answers your qusetion about me "Screwing myself over".

I just mailed in my games to Wherehouse.com yesterday. I don't remember reading a message stating "You can sell as much merchandise as you like at one time, however, we will only accept one piece of a particular title from each customer." I wish I read that before I sent my games in the mail yesterday...
The games I sent:

Nightshade (PS2) - $18.00
Freestyle Street Soccer (Xbox) - $17.00
Freestyle Street Soccer (Xbox) - $17.00
Bomberman Jetters (GCN) - $9.00
TimeSplitters (PS2) - $26.00
TimeSplitters (PS2) - $26.00

Total: $113.00

My online account says that I will get $113.00 in wherehouse.com credit (meaning that you can complete a transaction even if there are duplicate items you are trading in, thus it's their policy to honor the amount of trade-in credit that they owe you according to your transaction receipt), so I will hold them to it. If I get anything less than what I should get because I traded in duplicate games, I'm gonna be upset.

I hate to break it to you but i really don't like the potential of your deal. Hopefully the people at Wherehouse are as stupid as those at FYE, but i doubt it seeing as how their trading policy is so strict. I read the policy FAQ throughly and discovered that they would only take one copy of each title AND that if the trade in did not economically make sense that they wouldn't do it.

Not really a good idea to trade that in. I was thinking of sending a copy of Dinotopia, but they sell it for 20 bucks new and give 24 for it. Probably not gonna work.

Anyway, can anyone verify that TimeSplitters would possibly work for 26 dollars? And i noticed that Army Men RTS gets 26 at Wherehouse..could anyone verify?

Devin - if you look through their "Help" section, one of the questions is "Is there a limit to how much I can trade?" to which they answer, "You can sell as much merchandise as you like at one time, however, we will only accept one piece of a particular title from each customer". I think it applies to one transaction, but that still doesn't help you, which can't be good.

Joshthegreat and Devin - I sent in:

Freestyle Street Soccer (Xbox) - $17.00
Freestyle Street Soccer (GC) - $17.00
Army Men- Sarge's War (GC) - $27.00
TimeSplitters (PS2) - $26.00
Room Zoom (Xbox)- $26.00

on April 6th and then sent some more of:

Freestyle Street Soccer (GC) - $17.00
Army Men- Sarge's War (GC) - $27.00
TimeSplitters (PS2) - $26.00

the next day so we'll see how it goes. I'll post when I find out!

Todays trade-in's at FYE:

ALL WERE $7.50 EACH

Unreal championship xbox
Star wars starfighter xbox
Metropolismania ps2
RE code veronica x ps2
XIII ps2

I went to a local Specs and traded in the following:

Astroboy :18.00
Echo Night : 17.00
FF Crystal Chronicles : 22.19
FF Crystal Chronicles: 22.19
Malice (X box) 27.00
V-rally 3 (X-box) 27.00

The woman looked at me like I was on crack and shook her head and tried to convince me not to do the trade in. I was wondering WTF? Then I saw why. She had to fill out a small stack of pawn ticket resale forms, get my fingerprint, get my desription and my Driver's license info etc. Trading the games in took more than 20 minutes. Another employee stated " Damn, I think you are the 1st to trade in here in over a year and a half! " and walked off. I got the store credit finally, and now made it my mission to make sure whenever i get trade ins I go right to that sales lady >.< Im all seriousness as slow as it was the insane credit i got made it all worthwhile.

Has anyone ever successfully traded in Everquest Online Adventures for PS2? The reason I'm asking is because I heard EB and possibly Gamestop won't take it because of the online regristration code. Wherehouse.com has it listed but it doesn't have the option to sell it back. The copy I have is a "new" display copy from EB ($0.99) so I'm not trying to rip off FYE or anything by trading in a game with a used code since I am not going to use the code.

I thought Final Fantasy CC was supposed to be $10 new at Eb games B&M. I went in tonight and tthe clerk scanned it as $30. I didn't purchase it. Is it online only?

thanks!

also has anyone traded Army Men Sarge's War (GC) at FYE? Is it $27 also?

I just had the PS2 Echo Night Beyond and GC Army Men: Sarge's War come up as `not in the system' at my locale FYE. As I had just convinced the manager of the store to exchange my PSP that had a `spot' on it's screen (either a dead pixel, or a chunk of something stuck between the LCD and the cover), I figured that I wouldn't push it. I guess I'm going to have to take them to the Wherehouse here, or maybe if I can ever get the web site to work, send them in there.

A bunch of the EB `price drops' have gone back up in price. FF Crystal Chronicles was at $10 for long enough for me to order a copy online and get one in store (I've only got one EB...). Both nicely traded in at FYE for the $22.19 credit.

It's not unless it has gone up recently. I traded it in a few months ago (Wherehouse had it listed for $26 then as well) and got $7.50
That is crazy. I wonder if the TimeSplitters trade-in price is $26 at FYE.
Try $4.
Better off sending it to wherehouse.com.

Dinotopia got 26 dollars at my FYE but it was listed at 24 on the Wherehouse website. The other day i took it in and it got 24. Thats just odd.

Destruction Derby Arenas-($10 at blockbuster) fetches 18 at FYE.

Yeah with dinotopia i took into to trade in and the cashier scanned it and it came up as $26. She continued to scan in games and apparently pressed a key that messed her up so she had to start over. The second time through everything came up as the usual price, but dinotopia came up at 24. I've only seen this happen with this game so, I'm equally puzzled
Probably meant Future Perfect.
Nah....I think he meant the original. It does fetch $26 at wherehouse, but only $4 at my FYE.

Hmmmm....wonder where my copy is going....

Well I found dinatoipia at Eb (last one) but it rang up $19.99 , no longer $4.99 so I passed. I was able to find Room Zoom and Malice both for $9.99 new at Gamestop. Will try both tonight.

I also picked up some Goo Gone yesterday. That stuff works great.

I tried ditching it for almost a year at fye and it always rung up at 0.01. The expansion, Everquest Online: Frontiers was $12 but I dunno if it required an activation code.

I got prices for the following tonight:

Room Zoom - XBox - 26
Freekstyle Soccer - XBox - 17
Zelda: WindWaker - GC - 7.50
Skies of Arcadia - GC - 10
MLB 2K5 - XBox - 7
GunValkrie - XBox - 6
Metal Arms - PS2 - 6.50
Rabbit King - PS2 - 6.50
Everblue 2 - PS2 - 12

FYe yesterday:

Room Zoom $26 (3rd one to this location over a span of six months. )
Malice $27 (this was brand new right from the wrapper and it did not come up when the clerk scanned it. He looked it up though. )

Now just have to wait for FYE to get Jade Empire.

Any see how much Power Drome ($5 at CC) gets? They wouldn't let me trade it (something about being over the limit in trade ins. I thin k it's because all five of my games were getting $18+),
