To all you Miami fans, I'd just like to say:

SUCK IT!!!!
Whew, free throws win the game. Let that be a lesson, kids.
Hey the better team won and I can accept that, there's always next year.
Just to let you know that I was not rubbing it in. I just hate watching my team lose.
I hope the Pistons beat the shit out of the Spurs. God damn I hate the Spurs.
I know how you feel because, God Damn I hate the Pistons!
Time to change the sig
no need for a sig change. Wade played better than anyone in the playoffs so far, and showed how much better he was than the year before.

Can't wait to watch the Pistons lose after they finally play a team that is at near full strength

Indeed. They had a near 2 hour practice yesterday and the day off today. They were very relaxed at practice yesterday.

Not that I was dissing Wade. I agree, he was easily the best player in this year's playoffs. Just the Heat motif was what I meant :)

As far as the finals, I think it's about as evenly matched a series as can be possible. Neither team has a drastic advantage over the other. It should be a close series.

No problem, hopefully the Heat can still keep Shaq, Wade, E.Jones, and Mourning together. I mean the rest of the team did alright but Miami needs a more powerful power forward. They did have a decent bench however.

I think Haslem is a fairly good player. I think he just needs a another year playing in the NBA before he fully matures into someone who can help out a little more. For someone who pretty much came over from Europe as a fill in, I thought he did a very good job

what they need is another legitimate scorer. Someone who can shoot a 3 and get their own shot to open the offense a little more. This would take pressure off Shaq and Wade and allow them to operate with better success

Offensively, he's got a decent game. He needs to add a bit of toughness to his overall game, particularly on D (excepting that great block he had tonight). Maybe a few more pounds of muscle, and he'd be a high quality starter

Oh yeah he did good playing a power forward, but I think he could really be good at small forward. Then they can move E.Jones back to guard.

yea, I just think that is a product of the game he was playing in Europe. At Florida he was pretty dominant inside on the defensive end (though his problem was he was way too heavy). He looks good since he lost all that weight, he just needs to bulk up to really elevate himself above the level he is at, and unlike Yao, I think he has the ability to do so

Off topic for a sec. Casey I sent you a pm asking if you want to play NBA 2k5. If you do not have it and if anyone wants to play send me a pm. My Gamertag is Y2J
The Pisotns don't deserve to be champs. They are a bunch of spoiled, whiners who apparently have never fouled a soul in their life. Rasheed is better at crying than playing ball so what does that tell you about the Pistons?

Not to mention the Heat are playing with mostly injured players and they can barely beat us. I can't wait till we are healthy.

GO HEAT!
What's that I hear, couldn't be the fag calling the homo "queer"

Pistons will be winning that title again. Tony Parker is going to get muscled around by Chauncey. Tay will contain Ginobli. Rip is gonna run circles around Bowen. And the Wallace boys will clean up inside. Duncan will get his, but just like fuck (looks cooler that way doesn't it?) it won't be enough.

I just remember what Haslem did to my Michigan State Spartans in the 2000 NCAA Final. He was unstoppable, leading all scorers with 27 in a losing effort. Hmm... isn't that exactly what Shaq did tonight?

When you start talking about Rip running circles around Bowen I know you are living in fantasy land. Just look what he did to Shawn Marion, and while he did not completely contain Ray Allen, Rip is no where near the calibur of player that a Ray Allen is (and even though Ray got his points, Bowen completely took the Sonic out of their offense by not letting the other players get involved)

and Ben Wallace ain't done shit in the playoffs. He will probably get a few points because he is playing aganist a scrub center, but thinking he is going to clean up is a little out there.

:shame: come on Casey, you're better than that...

First and foremost Rip won a title at U Conn, and an NBA Championship last year, I'm trying to think of Ray Allen's championships... and nothing comes to mind. While Allen is undoubtedly the better player, Rip's success speaks volumes for what the man is capable of. Second, outside of Allen Iverson, I don't think there's anyone in the league that is as fast as Richard Hamilton. Bowen is a solid perimeter and one-on-one defender, let's see how he enjoys chasing Rip through a couple of Wallace screens.

It doesn't matter anyway, Rip doesn't have to do more than get about 15 a game for Detroit to win the series.

And to say Ben hasn't done shit is just assinine. Have you actually watched the play-offs? Ben had hit his CAREER high in points in the first round, and has continued on to average 10 ppg and 12 rbs. The only reason his numbers were down in the last series was because he was playing against a Snack. Duncan is nearly 100 pounds lighter than O'neal, Ben is gonna push him all over the place.

Anyway you read that wrong I said Wallace boys, because the reality is there's only 1 Tim Duncan. Duncan will do what Duncan will do. He's gonna get 20 and 10+ a game, but at the same time he's not going to get much help from Nesterovich (or as you called him "some scrub center") meanwhile Rasheed and Ben will go to work and win the stat battle down low.

Detroit is too much for San Antonio. I honestly think had Rashard Lewis played, the Sonics may be in the Finals right now instead. As it stands San Antonio was able to prove to Phoenix that if you don't play defense, you're not winning an NBA Championship. Detroit plays defense.

This will be a brutal final, but the Pistons are taking it in 6 or less.

i dunno if the pistions will take it....bruce bowen is going to create some match up problems for the pistons...of course the pistons are stacked from 1-8.....dam too hard to choose who is going to win...

Anyway i think the pistons have an advantage just for the sheer amount of scoring options they have...and each one of their guys is a match up problem...anyone on the pistons can D up againts anyone on the spurs but i dunno besides bowen duncan and horry if ginobli and parker play good D on the pistons......thats my question

The Spurs main advantage is their deep bench. They bring off Horry, Benu, Brent Barry, Nazr, and I think that's about it, but that's still 4 guys who can score and contribute in other ways too. While the Pistons have Hunter, Campbell, Arroyo and McDysse, all four are solid defenders, but only Antonio can score consistantly. I still think Tay & Rip are going to give Manu & Bowen trouble though. What's lost in the shuffle is how great of a defender Tayshaun is, he did make the 2nd NBA all-defensive team afterall. With Tay and Manu battling each other, you have Rip & Bowen. Bruce Bowen is not an offensive threat in anyway, so Rip can conserve energy defensively and use it to take at Bowen on the other end. I still don't anticipate the Bowen/Hamilton match-up deciding the series though, but the Pistons should be able to take advantage there to a certain extent.

I think spurs will win it, they have good offense and defense. Honestly I don't care who wins out of the 2, they are both good teams. Glad to see Miami not making it to Finals tho :p.

I don't really have a rooting interest in this, but...

Hamilton is too fast for Bowen, but the same thing applies to Billups trying to guard Parker.

Tim Duncan can handle Rasheed Wallace on both the inside and outside, but I don't have a lot of confidence in Nazr Mohammed, and Rasho Nesterovic really sucks.

Spurs have home court and are fairly well rested.

Larry Brown is pulling a Bill Parcells.

And I never bet against Steve Kerr or Robert Horry in the finals.

I would say Spurs in 6 or 7.

:shame: you're better than that too man...

As for Parker being faster than Billups this is true, but Billups is a helluva lot stronger. I look for Billups to wear Parker down with that strength and take the ball in on him a lot in the early going of each game, then burn him with a 3 or two in the 4th quarter.

I'm just kiddin with Casey.

The Pistons better get on their knees and cry tears of thanks and say many prayers that the Heat had 4 out of 5 starters badly injured. BADLY!

If the Heat are healthy the Bitchstons go down in 5 easy. Injuries won this series for the Pistons. Period.

you're a tool. Simple as that. So you're team lost, big deal. No reason to make excuses about it.

I agree with ZL. noone on the Heat did, so don't bitch about injuries. The "Meat" couldn't beat us on our worst day.

All I am saying is thinking he is going to run circles around someone who has stopped two of the most explosive players in the league is a little out there. Shawn Marion is one of the quickest, most explosive players in the league and he could not score at all. He is a guy who they never even run set plays for because he gets his no matter what.

Also I would not be suprised if Bowen asks to guard Prince considering how has probably been their best/ most consistent player throughout the playoffs. If you can shut him down, good things will happen. Hamilton may have been the star of the series, but without Prince they never would have been in many of the games they were in.

and I watched almost every game in the Indiana series and the Miami series and stick by my statement about Wallace. Everyone of those sports analyst guys where wondering where he went. He was letting scrubs like Jeff Foster completely dominate him on the boards, and Jermaine O'Neal was hurt and still getting his on the block (he didn't do the greatest job, but considering he was gutting out an injury he did a damn good job). Not saying he did not play better in the Miami series, but to think he is going to come out and do something worth a flip is a little more than I am willing to give him.

and while there may be two Wallace's, as long as Muhammed stays out of foul trouble, they can contain them.

Also it is not like the point Scrubking is making is not completely valid. The last two years they were never tested by a high quality team that did not have a major component injured. They need to beat the Spurs for me to think that they are for real

Dammit i hate the spurs so much. They are the worst team to watch. Why couldnt they just keep it interesting with the Suns Vs Pistons.

Ooh, "Bitchstons." How long did it take you to think up something that clever? It's too bad that the Heat let themselves get bitch-slapped around so much that they had that many injuries, but a loss is a loss. They're not using it as an excuse because they're a better team than that. It's too bad some of their fans aren't as smart.
