The Red Wings will not have any players at Sunday's All-Star Game in Montreal. The NHL announced today that Pavel Datsyuk and Nicklas Lidstrom have withdrawn due to injuries. They have been replaced by San Jose forward Patrick Marleau and Dallas defenseman Stephane Robidas.
Datsyuk has a strained hip flexor, which occurred during the third period of Tuesday's 6-3 loss in Phoenix. Lidstrom, who scored two goals, finished the game, but has been bothered by recurring elbow pain and needs the rest, the club said.
The only Wings' representative at the game will be coach Mike Babcock, who will serve as an assistant coach to San Jose's Todd McLellan.
