As a Bears fan so far I am enjoying this new style of offense the Packers are running A.F. (After Favre):applause:
I think maybe the team thinks that if they go back far enough, they'll eventually turn back time like Superman and Brett will be back with the team. 1st and 33? Come on!

Good lord how many penalties are we going to see in this game?

OMG! The Vikes D completed a play without a penalty!! It's a miracle!
He reminds me of someone with that TD...
Yeah throwing off his back foot as he's getting hit and completing the pass for a TD in the endzone. Well heck they had better get it into the endzone they only got like 12 shots at it!

Man I think I am going to keep count to how many times ESPN shows that replay of Brady going down. Its was at least 20-25 times during the sportcenter hour.

This sucks.
We should have went for it on 4th and inches.
I mean, come on, behind Matt Birk you can QB sneak ANYTHING!
The awful field goal at the end + vikings getting the ball right away fills me with hope.
Its going to be a 3 point game.

Now THAT was what I was looking for.
Jacksons on fire (like in my avatar!)
Sure it was only a field goal, but still.
The pass in the endzone made me cry.
Sooooooo close.
I'll remember this the next time a 70s Steeler drops dead due to steroid use.

The Pats haven't faced adversity? Brady is the product of adversity. They lost their starting QB, suspended their top WR, and had a coach die in training camp. Their 3rd string QB came in and led them through the Steelers, through the Raiders, and through the Greatest Show on Turf, to a Superbowl win. Thats not overcoming adversity?
If they cheated (which many teams said they did) no... if they didn't cheat which they say they didn't then yes...

and btw.. the Steelers have met karma plenty of times... it was the 80's...

....
Great 3rd quarter despite the Special Teams touchdown.
I can only imagine how awesome it would be if we played like this in the first half.
The 4th quarter will begin soon!
who said that Jared Allen would be any good..
The Vikings and the Chiefs considering the contract he got and the pick KC got.

EDIT: That was the second pass interference that the Packers have gotten away with tonight.

not claiming anything but.. just because people get big contracts doesn't mean they are or turn out to be great.. see Jevon Kearse in Philly, Antwaan Randle El in Washington, etc..

Dammit. Despite leaving almost 70 pts on my bench I still had a shot to win my fantasy league tonight. I was in a tie with Berrian playing and my opponent had Grant. That huge run at the end did me in. That and the play when Berrian fell down with nothing but open field in front of him.:bomb::bomb::bomb:

Good 'ol Aaron Rodgers...led my fantasy team to a .2 point victory as well.

Whats up with the shitty display on the bottom for ESPN? How can they waste more space?
The three Mikes are the worst commentary team ever.
Funny I actually like them better than the other crew with that idiot Tony Cornholer...

All talk about Oakland even potentially contending for a playoff spot this year can now end. Denver isn't even that good of a team and they're dismantling Oakland.

Oakland is such a disaster on both sides of the ball it'd be a miracle for them to turn it around by the end of the year. But at least they should be getting (another) top 5 pick in the upcoming draft.

I also think that the three Mikes are better than the other MNF cast. Jaws is awful and Kornheiser is better off on PTI. With a few more games under their belt the Mikes would be one of the best announcing crews in the NFL (not that it'd be that hard considering how everyone else is awful).

I didn't hear anyone talking about Oakland contending for a playoff spot, potentially or otherwise. I know I never even considered the thought. And Denver almost always dismantles the Raiders. Maybe Al Davis will finally croak this year and they'll get someone with a clue in the front office.

And I really dislike Ditka. If he could only take a deep breath and finish a sentence...

I feel bad for Lane Kiffin.

He has no say in who he wants to get on his staff. its all Al Davis chosen and that gets them no where.
he wanted to have their D-Cordinator fired and he doesnt...and now look. With a backfield of Asomungha,Wilson, and Hall...Eddie Royal picks apart your defense. things need to change and it starts with the assistant and front office...but who knows when that wiill be.
And Denver almost always dismantles the Raiders.
It was mentioned on SC that Shanahan and the Broncos are 21-6 against the Raiders.

Talk about some bad feelings in those games (OAK-DEN). It's like a battle of evil powers between Darth Shanahan and Emperor Davis.
I can sum up my reason for hating him in two words-

Tuck rule.

I can still see his lying ass grin in that interview afterwards.

Yeah, I hold grudges with the best of them!
That's when I started to hate him too
Shawn Merriman = Done for the year
Goodbye Shawn, you cheating, needle injecting piece of shit.
That's for you soodmeg. I thought I'd spread out the hate from Brady as per your request.
I personally have no problems with Mr. Merriman. I wish him a speedy recovery.

HA! :applause:
Alex Smith is done for the year and most likely done with the 49ers.
throw in

Marques Colston out 4-6 Weeks
Jeff Garcia Out for week 2
and there is your week 2 injury report lol.
Alex Smith is done for the year and most likely done with the 49ers.
I'd like to think I propelled Alex Smith's career to great heights.

Signed,

Otis Amey, Brian Gilmore, Johny Morton, Taylor Jacobs, Brandon Lloyd, Mike McCarthy, Norv Turner, Jim Hostler, Mike Nolan.

Also known as the people that have fucked up a kid's career.

Alex Smith will become nothing more than a journeyman QB that teams will sign for the bare minimum to fill their roster, and even then as soon as he's 30 even that will come to a close.

For all intents and purposes his career is over.

if Alex Smith gets another chance.. if he can get his confidence back. he will be a decent starter for someone...this is a bad year for the 49ers to draft a QB if they end up drafting one..

Agreed. Alex Smith = Ryan Leaf

Wouldn't be suprised if we went the FA route or I draft Daniels from U of M......like that kid....gritty.
Man, how the hell is Alex SMith out for a year? Did he blow out his elbow holding the clipboard?

*never mind, I see now*
Messed it up throwing a deep pass....he rushed back from his injured shoulder last year....hasn't been the same since.

Smith wasn't/nor will be a bust. The guy in his 2nd year went 16 and 16 with arguably the worst WR corps you could give a kid. Davis can't do jack shit besides block and make one nice catch a game, Frank Gore can only do so much and Bryant/Battle at the time were #3/#4 reciever's on a good team AT BEST.

I was never big on Smith, it's just not fair to judge a guy who's been fucked over continuously.

People call Alex Smith a bust....but name one QB (excluding Manning/Brady) who could 'excel' in this situation.

Came to a 2-14 team......has had a shit WR corps....horrible o-line....the WORST NFL HEAD COACH IN THE LEAGUE....and an ownership who has no clue what there doing.

Can't name one? Neither can I.

agreed cant judge alex smith yet. He hasnt been in a consistent system ever since he was drafted there.

every great QB has a great system and a good O-Cordinator they are comfy with. Smith has never had that.
