The Giants without Plax are the Tennessee Titans.. Andy Reid has always had clock management problems... and for god sakes get McNabb a receiver, a quality receiver and they'd be in the playoffs this year.
For a Rookie Desean Jackson is looking really good. Now you are right, if they had another quality WR with him, they would most def be in the playoffs.

Yeah Jackson knows how to shoot himself down pretty good after an accomplishment. It will be interesting to see what mood the Eagles are in next Sunday seeing as they have a great chance to remove the Cowboys entirely from playoff consideration...

The only problem is that by game time they will know if they are playing for something or not. Hopefully not but they win anyway.

Yea if they are eliminated before they play, they will mos def play there hearts out and take more risks and chances then they normally would. They would love to play the role of spoiler and knock the Cowboys out of the playoffs.

IMO as a Dallas fan, We don't deserve a spot in the Playoffs at all.

Ya I can't believe that Dallas is still in it with some of the weeks they've had. The same with San Diego, if they make the playoffs while the Pats don't at 11-5 :puke:

Yea. Check out Arizona. They could finish the season 8-8 and head into the playoffs. Having tied up the division weeks ago. I think they need to rework something. Maybe add more teams to the playoffs.

Nah, the playoffs are set up perfect the way they are. There are so many scenarios by the end of the season which is what makes it interesting. The fact that an 11-5 Patriots team might not make it is great. The Patriots had a super easy schedule - The Steelers and Colts are the only teams out of their division they played that are more than a game over .500 (and they lost both of those games).

LOL!

THE FACKIN’ NAWT FAY-UH LEAGUE STRIKES AGAIN!

Well, well, well! Hee-ah we ahhh, at the end of the season, and that $$$$$$ Rawjah Goodell has some serious facking explaining to do to the TAWMSTAH! To think, these amazing Paytree-uts AND THE DIEHAHHHD FANS OF CELTIC NATION could get fackin’ shut out of the fackin’ playawffs even if they win 11 games. WHAT THE FACK?!

THE FACKIN’ NAWT FAY-UH LEAGUE STRIKES AGAIN!

(tucks entire pack of Red Man in left cheek)

I have wawtched this team from the very beginning of Week 10, commisionah! And let me tell you something, yah fackin’ CAWKLICKAH! You will nawt find a more-ah gritty, gutty, GRUTTY team! NO ONE DENIES THIS! How can you deny this scrappy, scruffy, scraffy awganization they-ah rightful due with a playawff spawt? THIS IS A FACKIN’ CRIME WARSE THAN ANY CRIME COMMITTED BY ANY DAHHHKIE EVAH!

(flexes triceps for no reason)

LOOK AT THESE FACKIN’ TRIS! MY FACKIN’ GARLFRIEND WAHHHSHIPS THESE!

The Pats have earned they-ah way into these playawffs! You tell me anothah team that could suhvive the lawss of Tawmmy Brady – ONLY THE GREATEST QB IN FACKIN’ HISTORY, YOU FACKIN’ DICKSIPPAH! – and still beat underrated opponents like the Raidahs, and the Cahhhhdinals, and the Rams! NO OTHAH TEAM IN THE FACKIN’ LEAGUE IS IN THEY-AH STRATOSFEE-AH!!!

When I think of awl that we, the legendary fans of Celtic Nation, have had to suffah through this yee-ah, I am flabbahghasted! NO OTHAH FANBASE COULD SURVIVE THIS! THAT’S A FACT! You think back to Septembah. Only these GREAT BEANTOWN fans could lift a team like this to whey-ah they-ah ahhh now. In any othah town, this team goes 5-11. It took all my rooting powah just to get them to this point. It has drained awl my fackin’ enahgy! So much so that I cannot tawnt my buddy JackZ about the Sabathia signing as much as I would like! HA HA YOU NEW YARK $$$$$$S SIGNED A FACKIN’ FATASS PITCHAH! WE TOTALLY DIDN’T WAWNT HIM! THEO EPSTEIN IS THE SMAHTEST MAN IN AMERICA! NO ONE DENIES THIS!

(chokes dog)

I’ll tell you what this fackin’ is. It is yet anothah conspiracy by the nawt fay-uh league! They go out of they-ah way to make life as easy as pawssible far thah Dolphins, Jets, Bills, Titans, Steelahs, Browns, Bengals, Ravens, Colts, Jagwahhs, Texans, Raidahhs, Chiefs, Chahhhjahhs, Brawncos, Vikings, Bay-uhs, Packahhs, Lions, Giants, Eagles, Cowboys, Redskins, Rams, Cahhdinals, Seahawwwwks, Farty Ninahs, Bucs, Falcons, Saints, and Panthahhhhhhs!!!! IT’S SO TRANSPARENT! THEY AHHH FAVAHHING AWL THE OTHAH TEAMS!

(twirls around defensive lacrosse stick)

WAWTCH ME CRADLE!

I know why this is. The League knows that, if the Pats gawt in, they would clee-ahly run the table. Who would they play in Round 1? Those $$$$$$s from Denvah? Easy win! Then they go to Tennessee? THAT TEAM IS NAWT PREPAY-UHED TO HANDLE A BELICHICK D IN THE PLAYAWFFS! EVERYONE KNOWS THIS!

Then they get Pittsburgh? I feel like they could win that game by at least farty points! The league knows this. That is why they arranged the playawff system like this all those yee-ahs ago! SPECIFICALLY TO SHUT US OUT THIS YEE-AH! And that’s why they sent Ryan Clahhhk to cheap shawt my beloved WELKAHHH! Liitle do they know he’s MADE OF STEEL! YOU CAN’T HURT THE UNHURTABLE!

He’s as hahhhd as the streets I wawk on! THAT WAS A DIRTY HIT! WES EASED UP BEFORE-AH THE WHISTLE BLEW AND DIDN’T KEEP HIS HEAD UP! THAT MEANS HE GETS SPECIAL PROTECTION! Did you see him make that snow angel yestahday? It gawt me all choked up! WE MUST PROTECT THE INNOCENT!

(urinates on nearby car)

This playawff system needs to be fixed! You know a playawff is facked when the Colts get in and the Pats don’t! That Colts team is lucky to be 11-4! They ahhh only 27 plays away from being 0-15! It’s so obvious to anyone who knows footbawll! THEY SACK! Only the Pats don’t need luck to win. Everyone else only wins because it’s a fluke! Like the Giants last yee-ah! That Tyree catch was pure luck! Extending yar bawdy to catch the bawl, and then secure it against yar helmet while absorbing a blow from the defendah? THAT’S THE VERY DEFINITION OF LUCKY!

It’s clee-uh what has to happen hee-ah. The playawff system must be rejiggahed! BECAUSE RIGHT NOW IT IS JIGGAHED! Farst awff, no mar Colts in the playawffs. EVAH! Secondly, the entrants should be determined by a Blue Ribbon council headed by myself, TAWMMY FROM QUINZEE, along with various Bawston people who KNOW WAY MAR ABOUT SPARTS THAN YOU DO! $$$$$$! Like thah Chahhjahhs could evah beat the Pats! What a joke!

(pulls sink out of wall)

That way, we can avoid a season as tainted as this one. If the Pats do nawt make the playawffs, it’ll be the greatest injustice of ow-uh time! That Super Bowl winnah will nawt be legit! NO ONE WANTS THIS TO HAPPEN! FACK YOU, YOU FACKIN’ TEABAGGAHS!

Lets look at who they played:
2x vs division opponents
San Diego
Arizona
Oakland
Kansas City
St. Louis
Denver
San Fransisco
Seattle
Tennessee
Cincinnati

Oh wait, thats the Jets easy schedule, I'm sorry. The Jets and Pats have played all the same teams except for two. The Pats played at Indy instead of at Tennessee, and at home vs Pittsburgh instead of Cincinnati. I'll let the reader decide who got the better of that deal (the Jets).

The Jets and Pats both beat each other, the Dolphins once, Kansas City, Arizona, and St. Louis. They both lost to San Diego. The Jets lost to Oakland, Denver, San Fransisco, and Seattle, all teams who the Patriots beat.

The Pats lost to the Colts by 3 points after their reserve tight end took a personal foul on what would've been the game winning/tying drive late. They lost to the Jets at home in OT, and they got beat by a good Steelers team.

That loser organization deserves it.

OK... the Jets played a (slightly) easier schedule than the Patriots. So what? If you are comparing the teams though, at least the Jets beat Tennessee (undefeated at the time) which is a quality win - something the Patriots lack.

The Browns beat the Giants when they were undefeated as well. Anyone can beat anyone on any given sunday. Honestly the quality win thing is pretty lame. Check out those teams the Jets lost to though. They stunk.

I hope Miami wins and the Jets and Pats don't win the division it would be great to see a team go from one win to winning the division.

Wow. The Packers have had the shittiest luck all year. I guess it's fortunate that there have only been 5 of their games televised here this year. Saves me some suffering. This could be their 6th loss by 4 points or fewer.

A blocked field goal, then the coin toss hits Urlacher in the head? It should be redone. At least the Chargers can make it.

im praying as well :)

The Packers losing to the Lions next week as time expires would be the ultimate low point in a season full of heartbreaking losses. So yeah, it'll happen.

Haha that reminds me of Seinfeld. INTERFERENCE!

The NFL should never expand the playoffs. They are perfect the way they are.

Agreed. Expanded playoffs will just lead to a situation like the mess that the NBA playoffs are.
They [the playoffs] are perfect the way they are.
This was a point I heard today that I hadn't thought about: The AFC West Champs at 8-8 will host an 11-5 or 12-4 team (Colts). Should those division champions be the Chargers, the Colts played them in San Diego this year and beat them as well.

So should the playoff seeds be redone or should division winners continue to get home games for the wildcard round regardless of record and head-to-head? Discuss.

I personally don't think it should matter. Though there is a huge discrepancy in this year's AFC playoff first round game records, if you're a better team, you should come out and win regardless of where you play. That said, if the Colts lose in San Diego, Bill Polian will have something else to bitch about to the NFL again.

no matter how bad a division winner is, they should get the home game. If you look at the AFC East, they played the AFC West and NFC West vs the AFC West playing the AFC East and NFC South. maybe the Broncos would have won 10 or 11 games if they played the NFC west instead of, arguably, the strongest division in football this year.
Urlacher fuckin' cheats.
Yeah, Urlacher really meant for that coin to hit him in the head. Before the flip at midfield he got out his scientific calculator on the sidelines and ran the formula which told him that if he could get it to deflect off his helmet it would guarantee the coin would come up heads.

While the Bears won to keep their season alive the game cost me a victory in my FF Superbowl. I lost by one frickin' point.

Anyone seen this? If it was me, I would've jumped up and beat the shit out of Rob Parker. And lol at Terry calling the guy an idiot, I didn't think they were allowed to do that. I hope the idiot gets fired, but then again he lives in Detroit, I'm sure they like douchebags like him!

Edit : Well Urlacher didn't cheat, but I'm pretty sure that any interference would result in a redo. Isn't that in the rulebook somewhere?

Rob Parker didn't click in my mind until I heard his voice in the video. He's the guy on 1st and 10 on ESPN2.

Good Stuff.

nah... biggest chokers this year are the Jets, if they don't make the playoffs.. if they do, then it will be the Chargers..

Packers have issues, but nothing a draft can't fix. I was listening this morning to the radio and some idiots are calling wanting McCarthy fired.

Packer's Fan,
In the real world, you aren't going to make the playoffs every year. You aren't going to have a winning season every year. You've become spoiled. Rebuild for next year and thank your luck stars you are not the Lions

Thanks,
The Rest of the NFL

IMO the Packers Biggest issue was naming Rodgers the starting and not keeping Favre around.
How long can you keep Farve around and not use a guy like Rodgers?
As long as Favre plays the game i'd use him. He's a proven vet QB and look at the great things he did with the Packers last season. Nothing really changed for them besides the QB move. Cause and effect.

Rodgers actually had a nice season. It's impossible to fill Favre's shoes (and Farve didn't have the greatest year with the Jets anyway). The Packers defense couldn't make a stop all season.

this is not Rodger's fault.. He did good this year.. their OL struggled this season. Their DL was horrible, that in turned made the LBs bad and getting off the field on 3rd down just was horrid for the Pack.. If I were the Pack, I'd draft OL or DL first round here...maybe DB if that person is better talent wise vs the OL or DL
But Rodgers has all around better stats than Farve:

Farve: 3293/21/19
Rodgers: 3730/25/13
Packers have way more weapons then the Jets do though so compare Favre's last season stats with Rodgers of this year.

Favre's 2007 "Amazing Comeback OMG!!!!!" Season: 4155/28/15

So basically, if Rodgers throws for 250 yards and 2TDs against the Lions (totally doable) then he will have just about equaled Farve's 2007 stats. I also don't think that the Packers have more weapons. What happened to Ryan Grant this year? He totally sucked. A good running game helps the passing game tremendously.

Giants Fans

He also won them 13 games last year. How about that Aaron Rodgers?
The only advantage that Rodgers has over Farve this year is Greg Jennings
Packers have way better WR's/TE's then the Jets. Waaaaay Better. They also have a better Defense then the Jets as well. Better DB's and LB's So why did the Packers lose all them games again this season?
Giants Fans

I'm not going to argue Rodgers over Farve - Farve is an all-time great and clearly the better choice no matter how old he is but I don't think the Packers would have made the playoffs with him this season. Even last year I didn't think they were any good - in fact before the playoffs started I thought as long as we can get by Dallas (which I thought was a long shot) we are going to the Super Bowl. The Packers and Bucs really never entered my mind because both of those teams were just good, not great, IMO. It's funny because one year later I'm thinking almost the exact same thing (as long as we can get by the Cowboys we are going to the Super Bowl). Go Eagles!!! ;)
The Packers have a better defense than the Jets?
Ehh. By ranking the Jets have the better defense by only a little. They are better at stopping the run but the Pack are better against the Pass. I also forgot Nick Burnett went down with an injury so they were without one of the better LB's in the league.

I'm glad you are having a little hope in Dallas because I sure as hell am not. I'm almost sure the Eagles will beat us since they want that playoff spot more.
