2009/2010 NFL Thread - Combine Time - Draft 4/22 -

I got Giants/NY so they cut away from the Redskins/Saints for me.

Great game for the Giants - saved their entire season. A win at home against Philly next week would be HUGE.

Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig win for the Jints, indeed. When Manning threw that pick, up 14-10, and they were driving, I had a bad feeling, but they hung in there.
Alex Smith each and every week can only have 1 good half be it the first or the second. The Niners get the ball back with 51 seconds he misses a wide open receiver on an out pattern on 2nd and 3. Then on 3rd down he throws a horrible pass when Davis was open over the middle. All they needed was a first down and they could have taken their chances in OT. Horrible. And who calls these stupid reverses on punts? I am just disgusted.
Especially when a team doesn't have a for sure returner and half the fuckers attempting to be the returners have a high chance of muffing it.

Yeah, but that's not going to happen though.:)
People laugh at the Redskins at work.

Anyway, Go Ravens, really want them to beat the Packers tomorrow. I'll probably have my Ravens shirt and hat on.
Another shout out for the Ravens. I'll be wearing my shirt. Anybosy else?
That was awesome watching the Raiders beat the Steelers! Easily my most hated team in the NFL--no top of every win being sweet given how few and far between they've been from 2002 on. :D
Are you a Ravens fan? Most everyone I know who likes the Ravens/Browns despises the Steelers.

Throw the Bengals into the mix. I fuckin' despise the Steelers.

This is an awful game. The score may make it seem like a good defensive game, but the issue is that neither offense can really do anything.

No, Raiders fan. Just grew up hating all Pittsburgh teams. Most people in WV like the pro teams from there, but my dad hated them so I grew up hating them.

My parents even named me after a Steelers player.

Anyway, I hate the Packers, hate the Packers, hate the Packers, hate the Packers, hate the Packers. I'm not going to mention on CAG what I call them usually (basically, its add a certain food spelled by the letter f in front of their name).

Cowboys back in a familiar December rut, gonna be a long day of listening to the media hounding em.

they should be hounded. this is a huge problem for dallas, a team with a ton of potential on paper. the fact that they cant finish out a season year after year is pretty damn bad. jerry jones should do a lot of tweaking this off season.

Oh, he will. he has already publicly spoken about why Barber III isn't being used as much. It's definitely time for a coaching change. I also forsee a new kicker on the horizon. haha

I don't know if I should be excited about this, but it looks as though my Bucs will be selecting #1 overall in 2010. I haven't analyzed the draft class for this year yet, but I'm pretty sure they will trade down or go with Suh.

The 49ers playoff picture as follow:

Need the Cowboys to lose out.
Ditto with Giants.
Ditto with Falcons.

With the 49ers winning out....

All because they lost to Seattle last week....

I really hope they make it. They're good enough. They played an unreal game against Arizona, and I think a Vikings/49ers rematch would make for some great football. Of course, the 49ers would have to win in the wildcard+vs. the Saints first...

the 49ers are freaking garbage
vernon davis had at least 3 more drops
they BARELY won and the cards coughed it up 7 times
get real, niners no way in the playoffs
Yup, Niners barely won by 15 points.

2 games in London next year. Gross.

If you don't like it, it's the City of San Francisco & Santa Clara not getting the 49ers a new stadium.

Their I believe the lowest revenue stream'd team in the NFL, which is due to the stadium. Don't get me wrong, went there as a kid and love the memories I had.

But, after the best baseball park ever was invented, won't step foot in that shit hole.

The 49ers would actually make buku money from the London trip.

Viva la Crabtree.

The teams playing over there haven't been announced. Also they only got the home teams selected right now, still working on their opponents.

49ers looked great last night. its a shame that a couple of close games are going to cost them a trip to the playoffs this year. Oh well, 2 first round draft picks next year. If the ownership spends some free agent money during the off season then the division should be ours next year.

Who's playing QB on that division-winning team?

what looked great?
alex smiths 59.7 qb rating?
vernon davis's 5 drops?
razzle dazzle's 5th punt fumble of the year?
the cardinals fed that game to the niners and they didnt seal the deal until 9minutes and 7 turnovers into the game.
give credit to the niners d for showing up but the offense is garbage and thus the niners wont go anywhere anytime soon

Crabtree and Gore looked good on offense, plus the front 7 was putting pressure on Warner all night.

The offense is not the problem it is the QB position and this has been the problem for years now. If the Niners had a good QB things would be a lot different.

what a weird way to go. thats a shame, he was a very talented football player and this year seemed to have finally cleaned up his act.

This.

Fantastic game tonight, in doubt until the very end. As a Patriots fan, I can't believe I was rooting for the Colts to win and go to 14-0, but the Jags are one of our competitors for a playoff spot, so I'm quite glad to see them lose.
That was quite a game last night I just don't want them to go undefeated reg season and get beat in the playoffs.
I actually think that's what's going to happen. I don't doubt for a second that the Colts are the best team in the AFC, but they have had so many close calls this year that it just feels like it might catch up to them in the playoffs. I hope its against the Pats.

And I definitely understand where you're coming from, I would gladly trade the 16-0 regular season for the Pats in '07 for them having won the Super Bowl.

1984 49ers 18-1 Superbowl Champs
2007 Patriots 18-1 Chumps

I just don't think the Colts are legit... The Saints, yes, they've got weaknesses but their strengths blow them away. But the Colts have lucked into a number of wins this year.

I would love to see the Colts go 16-0 and lose to the Patriots in the playoffs. As bad as the Pats are this year, the one team they match up somewhat well against is the Colts. But I don't think the Pats will get that far unless they get a creampuff opponent in the 1st round and the Colts after.

Looking forward to tonights game. I'd love to see the Cowboys win, but it wouldn't matter unless NO found a way to tank against Carolina or Tampa Bay with us going undefeated in the last 3 games.
I'd love for the Vikes to get the #1 seed, but it seems all but impossible at this point.

The Saints have had just as many close calls. Neither team looks to be invincible. It will just depend on match-ups and the health of players. The NFL is so tough to call week to week I mean who thought the Steelers were going to miss the playoffs?

I think the Cowboys did the Saints a favor there. Postseason is stressful enough and you don't need the extra pressure of going unbeaten
