2009/2010 NFL Thread - Combine Time - Draft 4/22 -

Not surprised to see that Cincy lost since they gave up the last game to give the Jets some momentum and confidence.

Seems that Baltimore might be pushing for an early blowout against the Patriots.

Ravens have jumped on the Patriots 14-0 early.

Ray Rice had an 83 yard TD run on the first play, then they forced a fumble at the Pats 20 and recovered and went in for the TD.

I'm pretty much sick to my stomach. I've never seen a group of paid athletes come less prepared to play. I usually laugh when people say the Patriots' run of AFC dominance is over for good, but this game is making a pretty strong argument.

Rice is going to pull an Al Bundy today. 3 TD's in the first 10 minutes. Can Mods please merge the NFL Playoff Official Thread into this one?

24-0. Oh well, I can hit the gym without worrying about missing anything while lifting. Maybe it will be closer when I get to cardio infront of the TVs. :D

More interested in the late game anyway.

wow this is amazing. i never would have guessed a 24-0 opening quarter a 100 years.

and just now I'm surprised there was no challenge by Baltimore.

Harbaugh is going to be run out of town if the Pats make a comeback. How do you not challenge that? 24-7 now as the Ravens just let the Pats back in the game.

Bad camera angle hosed them on that challenge. If he was holding the ball in his chest then it had to have crossed. I know you can't physically see the ball but it's just common sense. If his whole upper body has crossed the goal line then the ball had to!

Wow, Edelman was sick on that play, there was like 7 Ravens around, he was at scrimmage and got the first down.

They got the 2pt conversion, on the replay you can see part of the ball over the side of the Patriot defender. Another blown call. I'm a Patriot fan.

Its been a couple years since the Patriots were a legitimate team, today is no great revelation. They didn't beat a good team all year.

They waved the white flag before they played a single game when they traded Seymour. The went young in a lot of positions, they never intended to be Super Bowl contenders this year.

Their coaching staff needs some work, they don't even have an offensive coordinator. I was surprised Charlie Weis took the KC job.

I'm so glad those dirty Patriots are OUT. Enjoy the off season suckas! So far I'm 3 for 3 with my picks for the weekend - I want the Cards to win now but I picked the Packers.

I totally agree with you dafoomie on the Pats needing an OC. O'Brien who to my knowledge has been handling the duties... well he's not very smart. Until next season Pats. :(

Again on that play by Edelman on fourth down, he was at scrimmage and with 3 Ravens within like a foot of him and instead of going out of bounds or to the ground, he rushes through them and the other ravens and keeps going for the first down. He was the only Patriot who showed up today.

How did the Giants do this weekend?

Nice start for the Cards with the pick and punching it in for TD.

Edit: And now forced and recovered a fumble deep in Packers territory.

Looks like the Packers are following the Pats gameplan today. WTF is with that field? Guys are slipping all over the place. Jordy Nelson has slipped twice and Rackers fell kicking the XP?

They were OK. I heard reports that Eli, Justin Tuck and Osi were over hanging out at Brandon Jacob's place watching the game today reminiscing about the last time the Patriots were in the playoffs. I think Plax called from prison and Strahan sent some pizzas in from the Fox booth. I imagine it was a pretty fun time.

Big momentum swing there. Cardinals driving and likely go up 20-0 if not 24-0, but Woodson forces a fumble, nice run back to around midfield and they march it down for the TD to make it 17-7.

Huge momentum swing.

Yep, but the Cardinals went right down the field for a TD to make it 24-7, so didn't end up being much of a swing.

Almost another disaster as the Packers fumbled the kickoff, but they got it back.

And again the cardinals respond by marching right down for the TD. Their offense is unstoppable today. It's going to take some turnovers etc. for the Packers to win this game.

Cardinals go for it on 4th and 5 and get a TD on the play. 38-31.

Now can their defense get a stop?

Edit: yep they finally got a stop. Packer ball at their 33 down 7.

This last game is the only one that was worth watching this weekend. The Cowboys game is probably a close second, the others were borefests.

The total amount of offense for this game is about to pass 1,000 yards, if it hasn't already on this drive.

Kurt Warner might be having one of the best passing games ever in a post-season game.

Nice choke job by Rackers. Whoever wins this coin toss wins the game.

Great game though! At least for those of us who love offensive football!
