Halftime terrible, what da hell band is this? almost as bad as Journey from the year past, such terrible choices
Journey hasn't played a Superbowl halftime. Bruce Springsteen played last year. This band is The Who. Amazing band, just old age hasn't been good to their vocals.

It makes me want to listen to their awesome album - 'Who's next'

It made me think how relevant "Won't Get Fooled Again" really is...but that's a discussion for another day..

GUTSY onside kick call!! Lucky it worked out.

I'm calling it now. Green Day is going to play next year. I just have a feeling about it.

The who were pretty bad. It would be ok if these bands didn't look like they were going to drop dead on stage.

Actually it was No Doubt that played with Shania Twain and Sting a few years ago. I thought for some reason it was Green Day.

Addai has been making some great runs tonight.

If things keep going the Colts' way, Addai has to be the MVP for continually keeping these drives alive as the Saints fail to stop him from big run after big run.

Interception!!! (I'm watching this on Local TV so there might be a delay with those of you watching it on cable)
I will have to say the Go Daddy commercials are the worst so far.
I was about to say the same thing. Same tired old shit every year.

The only good one this year was Dorito Samurai.

What I would pay to get a live look into the losing team's locker room, plus the meeting between Peyton and his family. You listening NFL Network?

How can anyone (Colts fan or not), not be happy after seeing Brees with his kid? That was special. But then it was tainted when I saw Shockey. I think that's the only guy I don't like on this whole team.

The Saints onside kick at the start of the half really won the game. It allowed them to pull ahead, forcing Indy to play catch-up for the rest of the entire half.

SAINTS WIN!!! That was incredible. That onside kick dictated the pace of the game. Sean Payton's got some HUGE balls. That was incredible. And to believe that I'm now in New Orleans living it up.!! Woo! Still, I can't wait to go back to Vegas.
Now I wait for Kim Kardashian shots.
Sex, sex, and more sex for her tonight. None for poor ol' Kendra. Has he proposed to her yet and said they're going to have their honey moon in Disney Land?

Dorito Dog was pretty funny. I also enjoyed the Simpsons Coke commercial.

Agreed, it was gutsy and it worked out. once that happen, you know it was the saints game to win. But Brees' 32 straight completions and the Colts playing really soft and really stupid on defense was my keys for winning it. The Colts had so many assignment mishaps and they left a 8-10 yard cushion on EVERY single play. Heck you could have put in Ken Dorsey and he could have made those wide open passes to the receivers. The Colts severely needed to have Bob Sanders and Marlon Jackson in this game. Except for Brackett, the rest of the colts defense was non existent.

Hats off to the Saints. Bourbon St will be on fire tonight.

This. I've already seen streakers, gun shots, windows broken, and I'm pretty sure there'll be riots or something

Good game. I really didn't care who won either way, I just wanted to see a fun game. The Doritos commercials were really funny. It seemed like the only commercials that were on were for beer and Doritos. It was funny hearing the announcers over exaggerate by repeatedly using the word courage over and over to describe a play, like these guys were going into a warzone or something.

GREAT game. I didn't really care about the outcome but I did find myself rooting for the Saints during the game. Commercials were horrible for the most part.

this is why those ninjas dont deserve the superbowl, no class.
almost as bad as hollywood

I don't think this game was very good. It was too slow, with a lot of uninteresting parts that somehow went by really fast. There were 2 big plays the entire game, both coming in the second half, and both were by the Saints. I didn't expect a shootout (see my score prediction), but the way in which the score ended up the way it did was shocking considering the total lack of defense from both sides.

Nice to see Drew Brees finally get the ring he should have won with the Chargers 4 years ago. I never liked them letting him walk, even though they had Rivers under contract. With LT in his prime, that 2006 Chargers team was ridiculous, and I'm pretty damn confident they would have won the Super Bowl if they had Brees instead of Rivers. But now look who's on top.

I really enjoyed this year's Super Bowl. One of the first times in a long time I can remember the league's top two QB's going head to head. I would have liked to see a little more of a shootout, but it was still damn entertaining. Congratulations, Saints fans!

Anybody watch Undercover Boss? That was surprisingly decent. The preview for next week's episode has me hooked. Somebody is getting shitcanned for sure!

Spent 6 years in Louisiana so I'm happy to see them get a title

Been hearing all week about Peyton being the best QB of all time so lets put that to rest. He has one title that he won in one of the all time sloppiest Super Bowls ever. I have always thought of him as this generation's Marino all stats no substance. With two minutes left and the game on the line I will take Brady all day.
Three titles to one it is simple math Brady is the best QB in the league he had kind of a down year coming off the injury but he is the man to beat next year. Heck i may even put Brees over Peyton

I think Peyton Manning could be one of the best NFL coaches of all time. He had one heck of a season this year, too. I mean seriously, what was the Indy coach doing all game?

it was a great football game. the onside kick was a ballsy call that set the tone for the second half. it also helps when your QB is damn near perfect in the 2nd half. and of course the pick 6 pretty much sealed the deal. its nice, the last 3 years we have been treated to some very good super bowls.

as for the commercials, i thought none of them were particularly great. i cant really think of any one that i thought was really funny or good.

in other news, i lost my super bowl pool.

The funny thing is I love the Colts and had to suffer through the lumps when the franchise first moved to Indy. However, I really don't feel horrible that the Saints won (mostly due to everything the team and city has been through in the past). I feel bad that Manning threw the pick and the score looked worse than the game actually was. However, I know the Colts will be back in the mix next season which helps ease the pain.

Congrats to the Saints they wanted it more and played their hearts out in the game.

This was their year to finally win a super bowl it truly was a team of destiny.

Caldwell coached the game not to lose and Payton coached to win.
I'm not really a superstitious person, but I hope Drew Brees isn't on the cover of next year's Madden.
I think it's his to lose since half the country will be jumping on the Saints band wagon.

Mosi Tatupu has died.

BOSTON -- Mosi Tatupu, a former member of the New England Patriots, died Tuesday, the Hawaii Star-Bulletin reported.

Tatupu, who was born in Pago Pago, American Samoa, played for the Patriots from 1978 to 1990.

The cause of death was unknown. Tatupu suffered from high-blood pressure and other ailments. He was 54.

"He had some health issues," said Barry Markowitz, a family friend who was told of the death by Tatupu's ex-wife, Linnea.

The Patriots selected him in the eighth round of the 1978 NFL draft.

Tatupu made the 1986 Pro Bowl as a special teams player. He also played in Super Bowl XX in 1986, in which the Chicago Bears beat the Patriots 46-10.

Tatupu coached football at King Philip High in Wrentham and at Curry College in Milton.

His son, Lofa, is a linebacker for the Seattle Seahawks.
