Yep, you're still wrong, sorry. Say you're up 50 points in a game. If we're allowing that you're not going to come out and take a knee on every series there exists the possibility you'll still be able to drive down the field. Given how the defense was playing, it should in fact be expected. Now say you drive the ball down and get 4th and 5 from the 10 or something. You're saying it's a good idea to trot out the field goal kicker to add three meaningless points which are almost guaranteed rather than running another play and giving the defense the chance to stop you which is, after all, what they're paid millions of dollars to do. A field goal accomplishes absolutely nothing there, and consequently is the true definition of piling it on. Going for it, at least you're giving some backups a chance to get some experience in the red zone. I suppose you might think they should just take a knee and give the ball back, I'm not sure. The game had long since passed your arbitrary definition of "excitement" by that point, so I suppose it wouldn't have mattered what they did. The whining capabilities of NFL fans sometimes borders on the comical, I swear.
I don't see where I'm whining by any stretch, just questioning this weird claim that a field goal when stopped at the 31 (why not punt?) or the 11 is a huge insult to everything the game stands for when they were already embarrassing them long before that point of the game.
This whole "it's Tennessee's responsibility to stop the Patriots and end the game" excuse just makes it seem like the Patriots are quickly turning into a bunch of cocky douchebags because they destroyed an 0-5 team. If you're really getting cocky over that win, then I hope you enjoy it. You'll get the same chance this week to play the elitist role again.
I don't see why my lack of interest in watching a game that's a blowout is arbitrary, as there's nothing in question at that point that warrants further attention since you know what the outcome is. If you, or anybody here that said they love those kinds of games, wants to explain it, go ahead since I don't get it and wouldn't mind hearing a legitimate reason for it.
