The last two times I went I found disc 2 of GTA V for Xbox 360. One had a crack in it but the other was fine. There was also a copy of GTA 3 for PS2, hehe.

I live in Southeast MI, I live and work right by two Gamestops. A third one a cross town I check sometimes.
I check them 2-3 times a week.

Personally I'd rather even see a reseller get these then contribute towards being wasteful and sending them to a dump.

Nope, this is the reason why gamestop usually tears the front cover or damage items so people dont resell them back to gamestop

Damn..and yeah most of the time the covers are ripped. Got them on a good day I guess
It's not to prevent trade ins to GS - it's to prevent return fraud (at GS and any other retailer that sells guides). When guides are pennied/trashed, publishers give retailers some kind of refund. If that same guide was to be returned to Wal-mart or another store they might pay for it to be trashed twice.
Oh I know. I was just saying that regardless of the way you obtain them you cant trade them into GS since they just flat out don't accept guides as trade ins.

Driving through my neighborhood and saw a turntable in one of the neighbors garbage... Stopped and grabbed a nice, albeit slightly dirty Technics sl-23. Not sure what to do with it, but I didn't want it to end up in a landfill. Probably going to just clean it up and see what I can get for it once the hipster college kids move back into town in a few weeks
I recently started doing this in the last couple of weeks. I have found over maybe 6 trips to 2 gamestops
4 xbox 360 slim models (two that work perfect, 1 is an error 71, the other I havent tested yet).
20 or so skylanders with a case for them.
A brand new golden Dualshock 3.
An off brand 360 wired controller that works.
COD MW3, ghost. Rainbow 6 endwar all 360
A bunch of pc games
A 3ds stand
A pair of turtle beach headsets (cant remember the version, tested them, they worked perfect, the foam on the mic was torn. gave them to my sister in law)
yokai watch demo cart
90 or so star war battlefront posters (the double sided ones) some are water damaged from the rain havent checked many of them
2 sets of ps2 wires power and av
a few bargain bin wii titles
some random older sports titles from 2003-2012
a copy of mag (just for the hell of it)
splinter cell conviction 360
3 psp movies
A 360 portal of power for skylanders
Rocksmith 2014 ps3
