My buddy bought me a sega cd model 1 today for $10. Here's to hoping it works. I didn't realize these things were worth that much.
that looks pretty fresh wish i could come across old guides like that in my neck of the woods
pics with receipt or it didn't happen.i got a cib copy of rule of rose for $4 at a local thrift store. the guy told me he had just put it out 20 minutes earlier too.
LOL...pics with receipt or it didn't happen.
$3 each is still worth it, it's hard to find the receiver together. Though this does remind me of a post last year who found the receivers but not the controllers (really odd scenario). Happy I still have my gray wavebird from all those years ago.Bought these without hesitation hoping I can get the missing receivers somewhere.
Edit: pic won't upload from phone. They are two wavebird controllers for $2.99 each.
If they did that here, I'd have been earning $20 a week in points back in my Goodwill Outlet days. Instead, they give you 10% off here when you spend $25 or more in one trip. They also send out $5 off $25 coupons sometimes. The goodwills in NY have been giving me rewards points for years now, I think it's one point for every dollar spent, and when you reach 100 they give you a 10 dollar credit
I used to sell all of my ps2 phats/slims to a guy(that I shipped them to) for $40/eash(phat) and $25/each(slim). I think they will go for $25-$30 on craigslist(if they work) and if you have a bunch of them, you can usually get $30-$40 each on ebay(before fees/shipping). After the price drops I now only pay $15 tops for any ps2's that I find at goodwill.Side note: It's been about 6 months since I have been steadily thrifting. Can anyone speak to whether or not there is still a market for Phat PS2s? I used to be able to sell them untested for 40 each but I can't even sell them for 25 each now. Did I miss something?

Yeah, I used to go to the local GW outlet a few times a week when they first opened. I always wore gloves, especially after almost cutting myself on broken glass and loose knives.Picked up Wing Commander IV, Command & Conquer, Throne of Darkness, and Drakan all complete and in their original big boxes from a Goodwill Outlet a few days ago for less than a dollar. I dont know if anyone has ever been to a Goodwill Outlet before, but that is the probably the dirtiest place you will ever visit. However, I would say paying for everything by it's weight is a good trade off.
You can nab them for less from game stop if you find em, for about a buck each. Check online if your stores have them, and when the employee looks at you weird and says "we don't have those" tell them it probably is in one of the random junk drawers or something. Also saw a PS2 official memory card for $2.99, but passed. Once I buy a PS2, then I'll start looking more seriously for those.
Cool, thanks for the info. I've never owned a Sony console and am starting to learn these systems and the market. You can nab them for less from game stop if you find em, for about a buck each. Absolutely correct about the gloves, that shit is deeeerrrr-ta there. if you got cut while digging, that might be the end of ya.Yeah, I used to go to the local GW outlet a few times a week when they first opened. I go maybe once or twice a year now, ever since they started pulling everything of value for ShopGoodwill and leaving literal junk for sale.
I guarantee someone lost their shit when they came back in from their car. The rare time I go up there I'm afraid to look at anything in a cart... I don't want to get shanked over some dirty crap. That outlet you are speaking of (N. Versailes right?) does have some good stuff every now and then. First time I went there I found a SNES with cords and everything plus Chuck Rock, Mario Kart and Joe & Mac. It was sitting in an (assumingly) abandoned cart and not in a blue bin.
Yeah, this 100%. But the rule is, at least it used to be, if you don't want your shit messed with, throw a blanket over it. If the cart is there unattended and uncovered, it's fair game. But I'd still be leery as there are someI guarantee someone lost their shit when they came back in from their car. The rare time I go up there I'm afraid to look at anything in a cart... I thought most GWs kept discs at the checkout now? All the ones I go to have binders full of discs.Had a win today, a bunch of Judas Priest CDs, luckily the discs were stolen. Some PS2 sports games, oh yeah stolen discs again.
WHO THEWOULD STEAL A COPY OF MADDEN 2008 OR NASCAR 2006 FOR THE PS2? SERIOUSLY!
I am still on a dry streak. I saw a Chapelle's Show Season 2 DVD last week, and it got snagged about the same second I saw it.
Based on the crappiness of the Goodwills so far, I hope this is not how Rummage season is gonna go.
I would think a majority of them do, at least mine does.I thought most GWs kept discs at the checkout now? All the ones I go to have binders full of discs.
That's how mine are. I got 3 within about 10 miles and they all do that. The one downtown is a bit different, but down there if it isn't bolted down, it gets stolen. My GW just throws the games, movies, cds and books all in a big rack. Only if they are sealed do they go in the case.
