3 Select Vita games for $40 + tax Walmart.com

Speaking of good things for the vita, has anyone else purchased this:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0073ESZ58/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i01

I bought it a month ago, but finally used it last night. I cannot recommend it enough. It was so much easier to hold the system while reclined on the couch/in a chair. Not trying to derail the thread, but I really believe it will improve everyone's control in all of the games (including the ones bought from this promotion).

:)

Seconded.. it's soooo much more comfortable with this. I only take mine off to charge.

Waiting for my $2 Hong Kong eBay Vita grip to arrive.

So far, I've seen Black, White, Pink, and Blue.

I considered it, but I was looking at this one: http://www.amazon.com/Nyko-Power-Grip-Vita-Sony-PS/dp/B0079V29EI/

The Nyko one has a battery for extended battery life. I'm assuming by the price difference that the one you posted doesn't though.

The Nyko Power grip is head and shoulders better than the CTA one.

It doubles as a grip and a external battery. (Attaches in at the charger port)

Also you can the charge the system, with your standard power cord in case your grip loses power and your system is low too; with the extra charging port.

Best $30 i spent for the vita
Nice that Wipeout is back..now, if only one of the following would come back; Unit 13, Uncharted or Gravity Rush...I'll take any of those 3, plus Wipeout, plus Hot Shots Golf.
its gone now ...
mlb 12 is one if not the best game on the vita right now if you dont mind the bugs
lol, good one. Maybe if you ignore Uncharted, Gravity Rush, Unit 13, Hot Shots Golf, Lumines, Wipeout, Disgaea 3, Fifa Soccer, LittleBigPlanet, Metal Gear HD Collection, Rayman Origins, and Virtua Tennis 4. Otherwise, no.

I was excited for MLB 12 until I saw what they did to the game...essentially taking out everything that brought the console version to life.
just got resistance (back in stock and I was only to buy one copy), hot shots, and mlb 12
Yeah! Now we're talking! :applause: All we need now are Uncharted, Gravity Rush, and maybe Unit 13. Let's hope they all return together.
just got resistance (back in stock and I was only permitted to buy one copy), hot shots, and mlb 12
Nice, I can't believe I held off on this amazing deal. The only games I want are Unit 13, Resistance and MLB. I have everything else except for deviants and reality fighters.

think i could only get one because it is now out of stock again, which at least gives hope that the worthwhile games will reappear. however, I am going to cancel my order, so...

I just got a notice from Walmart that my store pickup has shipped - Uncharted, Gravity Rush, & Unit 13. So, everyone should be getting notices soon, I would think.

For those wondering, I played and received the platinum trophy in Resistance...I enjoyed it enough...Decent shooter, nothing special, OK story.

To chime in on the grip discussion. I prefer the PDP one because it actually turns the shoulder buttons into triggers which is very nice and comfortable for games like Resistance, Uncharted, and Unit 13.

No shipping (-to-store) confirmation for me..kinda getting buyer's remorse seeing as if the $43.20 is already pending via Paypal in my bank account and may not get the games until next Monday thru Wednesday. I would love to give all (3) a spin immediately!!
Uncharted and other games are back in stock. Just got an order in.
Damn it! I just tried to get mine in and it said Resistance was OOS and screwed up my order and then when I tried to redo it Unit 13 and everything else went OOS. ;(

Yea, same with me as well. That was absurdly fast.

Or they restocked a few. That's what happened with the Toys R Us deal last week.

or people orders are being cancelled ( wrong credit card or they cancelled the orders) and the few are popping back up

This.

btw, I've heard that in-store pickup isn't working well. Should I get the items I want shipped to me or do an in-store pickup?
must been one copy cause its gone now
That must be why it wouldn't let me check out... it wasn't letting me choose either store pickup or home delivery...
I give up on trying to get a copy of Resistance.

will now wait for inevitable $10 Best Buy deal

Is there any reason to not buy 3 copies of MLB the Show ($39) and return them to the store to pick up the games we would want (i.e. UC/GR)?
Nah, except for well..you know, that little thing call ethics?

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and hoping he meant straight exchange and not fraud

Site to store returns don't work that way I believe. You keep it, return it, or exchange for same item is my guess.
Nah, except for well..you know, that little thing call ethics?
Soooooo... There's a little person called Ethics who will stop you from doing it?

I've returned a site-to-store item for a cash refund before so I don't see how it wouldn't work for an even exchange of items of the same value. Don't see how it would be return fraud either because you are buying from Wal-Mart and exchanging items at Wal-Mart with a receipt. Might be worth a shot, at the very least you'll get your money back if they don't allow an exchange.

I think his intentions are clear, which is why he's getting these responses. He also said if he could exchange them for the games he wanted. If he returned the games for the price he paid ($40), he would be getting a game at the in-store prices. Plus, I don't see the point in ordering 3 games to just return them and buy a single $40 game. Seems like a lot of unnecessary work, no?
I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and hoping he meant straight exchange and not fraud
I'm going to go ahead and not give him that benefit. I'm fairly certain that he means to perform an even exchange of each of the MLBs for store credit rather than returning an order. His plan falls apart on the simple fact that MLB is NOT $40, but $30 on its own, so he won't be getting more than two $40 titles. Also, to add insult to injury, it is return fraud. :)
Mine shipped as well.. now to find a good deal on a Vita.
That reminds me, maybe I should get a Wii console and a 3DS console to go with these Wii and 3DS games I have!:joystick::lol:

Actually, this won't work. Your only options with a site to store order are to return the items for a refund at the store or via customer service online or by phone. They will not do swaps of any kind, even for the same item if it was damaged. Walmart sent me a game that was advertised on their website as coming with exclusive DLC and the copy they had for me at the store was a non-DLC copy. They had plenty of the DLC version at that store, but denied me the exchange because they claimed that it comes from different inventory allocations and my only choice was to do a return and buy the DLC copy of the game afresh at the store.
