I'm really interested in Komonomix+. Anyone know anything about it?
I was curious as well so I checked the GameFaqs board.

It's basically an enhanced rerelease of a DSiWare game that never made it west either. It focuses on your creating and fusing 'Kemono' or beasts, and then mixing them together as your Kemono wanders the planet you've crashed on, looking for your ship parts, with a certain time limit to fix your ship and escape. A bit like the original Pikmin in terms of basic concept, but with a fun, appealing, completely different style of gameplay centered on taking care of your cute monster or monsters in a visual novel-like window, tracking their stats, taking them on walks around the planet to search for items and parts, and having them battle and eat other Kemono.

So a monster breeding game then?

I played the Kemonomix+ some last night and a couple hours this morning. It reminds me of Monster Rancher games. You train your monster's base stats and send it out to explore areas. The monster finds items and fights other monsters automatically, so it's no Pokemon-style battles. You simply pump up the monster and send it out. The other monsters it fights it can "mix" with, which improves the monster's stats and also may changes its abilities and cosmetic appearance. (If you mix a cat with an ox, now your cat might have horns, for example.)

It's very cute, very light, and very worth $5 so far. Game seems big, with over a hundred Kemono (monsters) to find. I've only found, like, 8.

There's also something about finding spaceship parts, but I haven't gotten them yet. You do have a time limit of 2000 days to find spaceship parts to return home, but I haven't gotten to any parts yet. So I guess it's possible to lose the game? Not sure. But pleased so far, especially with the low cost of the game. Art style is magical.

of the hours you played so far what day are you on. Meaning does it seem like a short game

Doesn't seem short at all. Just started unlocking some 50 challenges and still haven't found spaceship parts. I'm around day 260.
do you know your time spent in it. loved monster rancher back in the day. and its only 5. If nothing happens i might grab it tonight, wasted 5 bucks on worse games. Hell figured it up last night wasted around 80 bucks on junk DSIwere games

then again i got FF Call, Fantasy life and the last 4 major rpg games to hit the vita i never played that much yet, hell its only 5 bucks (really 5.40 taxxed here

Well, it says I've only played 1:40 minutes, so I guess I've played less than I thought. But I would imagine you're looking at at least 10-15 hours of gameplay, I hope. But yeah, it's pretty much Monster Rancher.

say 2 hours on day 300 x 7 yea it be around about 12 hour game. Wonder if it really ends at the 2000 day mark or it just no longer tracks your time. Like sorry you did not make it off the earth within 2000 days but would you like to continue to play but your score will not count (like lot of those tablet games)

cousins kids got bad colds maybe this might be something to help them pass the time.

I'm assuming my dog is dead. I stopped playing it for the same reason. Digital is definitely the way to go.
Nope, just very dirty and probably has fleas. It's like Neopets.

Side note, after typing that, I found my old login for Neopets. Logged in. Last time I fed my pet was in 2002. However, it is deliriously happy.

You can't expect companies to let the animals die, do you? That would be hilarious for us "mature" gamers, but devastating to a child... perhaps life-alteringly traumatic to some (and so they never put down their game system again... ).

is a very very basic game what you really dont do anything. You send your monster on either a 3 day or 6 day hike. They may find stuff or run into another monster (where like you said you dont pick how to fight) you win , you get to take the monster back, if you lose you just go running back to your ship (no game over) all you do is send the monster out and mix them with another monster and just max out their stats and then bred it again. Im at day 199 on the 2nd area of the woods. Unless it get a lot better soon i would say the game is worth 1 to 2 bucks but 5 is sort of way over priced for this basic game. It should last you around 7 to 10 hours to compete all 2000 days. Now to see if it has any replay or if it stops at day 2000.

Fun game if your bored but really would not call it a game since you really dont do anything in this besides send out a monster and then bred it. At least in monster rancher you had to feed the monster or even let it rest, this game you dont even need to let the poor thing rest until you lose a batte.

I just find a virtual pet that's dying of starvation but deliriously happy to be one of those things I'm probably going to hell for being amused by.

I actually expected not to still have an account there.

No, you're going to hell for having conditioned it to find pleasure in it's suffering.

Kids these days though. Tamagotchis used to die all the time and we're not scarred.

I once emailed the Neopets abuse team and reported myself, saying that I beat my pets and starved them and that I'd keep doing it unless they took my pets away. They never got back to me.

The only thing I ever did there was try to find a way to have cybersex around the toughest wordfilter known at the time on the internet. My then-girlfriend and partner in the experiment learned her vocabulary was lacking, while on my end I resorted to reading a few bad romance novels to cheat my way through.

I've got less than 300 days left, and I still have two ship parts to get. The game gets harder, your monster takes more damage, and you're forced to be more strategic. It is possible I will run out of time and not get all the spaceship parts. If I have to restart the game, I will definitely beat it the second time, as it took me about 300 game days to figure out what I was doing and to get a handle on mixing monsters.

You do have to let them rest sometimes, especially if they encounter a boss monster and come back battered.

Personally, I've really enjoyed the experience. It is a simplified form of Monster Rancher, but it suits me.

Just beat Kemono Mix +.

Total # of training sessions: 58

Total # of expeditions: 187

Total # of mixes: 212

Average extent expolored: 97%

Percent of Kemonos logged: 95%

I beat the final boss with about 170 days left, but I went ahead and headed back to earth with 31 days left.

When the credits scrolled, they were in Japanese. Not a lick of English. :whistle2:k (Except for Thanks for Playing!)

Wow. When you beat the game, you can unlock a sort of New Game+. There's a Challenge for seeing 5 different endings. Another challenege for beating game using no items.

Wow, another challenge to return to Earth before you've performed 30 mixes! Not even sure how that's possible!

know how much time you logged in to beat it. Rushing though (no reading the stuff) im guessing around 7 hours. I ran though the type fast something about if the monster is unhappy you travel less distance (what i can see i went from 10% down to 6%)

do you ever pick more then 2 paths (maybe on new game) Now that i know it has replay yea i say its worth 5 bucks. Its a cute game to pass the time, hopefully they make a part 2 (doubt it if this game is an old dsiwere game that never made it over here) I love to see games like this come out on cart if they had more features to them

It took me a little over 6 hours to beat Kemonomix+. I do not see me replaying it, but I never replay anything. I really enjoyed the game for what it was. I appreciate all the New Game+ content, and folks that like that sort of thing will be happy.
