Themes look pretty terrible.

Would have been cool to receive special themes for the limited edition 3DSes.

Even a basic theme with different colors would have been better.

SMASH THIS FRIDAY..... ITS REALLY HAPPENING! :whee:

Do the GB Kirby games still hold up?
I haven't played them all, but I played the earliest GB s and I'd say not really. I mean they aren't bad games by any means, but they feel almost as though they were made for toddlers in that they are just so damned easy. And short too.... I don't think any of them that I played lasted more than a few hours.

I've long said that most of the GB games on VC shouldn't be over $1 TOPS..... but the early Kirby games really feel like they should be free. Again, I had fun with them, but the pricing is completely asinine, and outside of their historical context I think you can do better even on VC. Then again, doesn't Nintendo still charge $2 apiece for G&W ports? :whistle2:?

Prices don't seem that bad, $3-$4 is still cheaper than getting a cart off Ebay and it's more convenient.

But yeah this is CAG I guess.

Which ones? I'd say they all hold up except Kirby's Dreamland (the first one), which frankly I found dull when it first came out. Dream Land 2 is good, though, and Pinball is great, and Blockball is fun.
Oh man, I forgot about Kirby's Block Ball. I spent so much time on that game, probably one of my GB favorites.

It's all in how you value the games... I'd argue that the fact that the carts are grossly overpriced doesn't increase the value of the digital copies.... compared to what else is available, even on the 3DS eshop, it still feels like a bad value.

FWIW when I knocked the Kirby games I was really only referring to the platformers. I never did get around to pinball, tilt n' tumble, or golf. If they would bring tilt n tumble over, I might actually get it.

not sure if I asked this before but have the Mii Plaza games ever gone on sale aside from the bundled deal upon release?  Nintendo should have out that on sale for

Three days...
I've been going back and forth on whether or not to buy this (on 3DS). I'm not terribly impressed with the game so far and chances are the wii U will have the same functionality. I prefer the larger screen to play on and local multiplayer is much easier to setup. If Nintendo had not offered the soundtrack for buying both, I would not even think about buying a copy on 3DS.

Different stages and different modes. Along with a fun in the go thing, I'm happy with a 3DS version now.

So is this any good? Had a very hard time getting a feel for it when I've looked into it.
From what I've read, it's supposed to be pretty good, despite the obvious fan service. It's technically two games in one. I've been waiting on a sale since it came out. I'm most likely getting it.

Too bad I have no iPad :( Where the heck is the GBC version for 3DS, Nintendo?
The GBC games deserve massive props for actually feeling like Pokemon games, despite having a card battle system.

Too bad we'll probably never see it's like again.

The iPad Pokemon TCG is already very badly optimized. It's 3rd gen iPad and up, which is ridiculous. I doubt if they're willing to sort this out on iOS that they'd throw it on Android.

Different stages are cool, and I'm getting this for sure, but honestly I'd have preferred just moving everything onto the WiiU version.... not even because of the money, but because I'd rather have 1 game with double the stages than the two games we are getting now, and it's obvious the 3DS version has held the WiiU version back in several ways (at least, if you believe what Sakurai and co. are saying... because god forbid they develop them as two separate games :wall: ).

Besides, many reviews that are out now are saying the game is hard to follow, or even unplayable, in certain 3-4 player matches because of that small screen.... so I imagine somebody like me, who doesn't own an XL, is screwed. That was my biggest fear for a portable SSB from day 1..... but I assumed Nintendo would have designed smaller stages with that in mind from the get-go. If the reviews are to be believed I guess they aren't capable of that level of foresight  . I guess I will be sticking with 1 on 1 matches

If nothing else, I'd really like the 3DS stages to come to WiiU as DLC...... FREE DLC for those of us who bought the 3DS version.... doubt that will happen anytime soon but it would be nice.

Hype is dead..... if you believe what's being posted pretty much everywhere, it seems the online lag and input delay is just as bad, if not worse, than Brawl   In other words, online is nigh unplayable  :wall:  Many are saying even local wireless doesn't hold up well.....

I could have told you taht based on how long the updates took using a wired connection (15 minutes to complete last night). I'll stick to local multiplayer using my GC controllers :)

I was listening to the Bombcast, and Dan said the problems with lag largely seemed to be fixed with the new patch.

Online matches that have been streamed to Twitch seem just fine.
I'm not sure if that means much though in terms of input delay. How were they streaming it?

Awesome, let's hope so. I am still getting this but online is going to greatly determine how long I spend with it.
