FWIW, Greenman Gaming did have it $8 ($10 with a 20% off voucher on top) around Black Friday and Cyber Monday. So did Gamefly, who also then repeated the deal on December 15th.

Amazon's deal is close to, but slightly higher than the cheapest it has been to date. Not a terrible deal but nothing new or Earth shattering either. I'm sure it will go 75% off w/ additional 20% off voucher at GMG and GF again sooner or later.
Bioshock Infinite is also around $6.40 as part of buy 2 for 29,90 brazilian reals (approx US$12.80) at nuuvem (other steamable games are Castlevania Lords of Shadow and Disney Castle of Illusion) if you don't mind dealing with Nuuvem.

BioShock Infinite - $13.1967
What kind of price is that? It's either $15 or $10, what gives.
well, they don't actually advertise these prices...these are corporate-side memos. Also, these deals are percentage-based, meaning these deal prices are dependant upon the games' original prices. Simply making everything $10 or $15 flat means that the same deal is not taking place across all games. It wouldnt make sense.

2k saying "60% off our games" means that they don't have to go through each individual game and come up with a price.

Oh, yeah, and who gives a shit? It's not like your bank will call you and be like "sir we see a charge for $13.52, so due to the suspicion we are locking your account and sending the police"

I'm new to PC gaming/Steam but are these deals bad or am I just too used to GMG/Steam Winter Deals of recent?

Here's the thing about the Amazon EC promo: it's not going to be like the Steam sale or a Black Friday even where there are dozens of amazing deals in a short period.  You have to wait it out and see what happens as it lasts the entire month of January.  And while it's only on a limited number of games, in the past they have added games including bundles of games all at really good prices after the $5 promo codes are applied.  They also tend to price match Steam so if one of the EC games ends up as a midweek, weekend, or daily deal then you can get it for the Steam price - $5.

There'll be more sales as the month progresses. Probably only really one "great" deal at a time though (Crysis 3 seems to be it right now).

That said, this is why it's goofy to buy stuff from Amazon in December based primarily on "I'll get a $5 EC coupon in January!"

Got Crisis 3

There is a glitch in the system. They may have fixed by now but it sounded like I found it. I paid with gift card and it didn't actually use the promo, it still took that 5 more from my gift card than it should have. Got a great rep that made it right, but took 30 minutes(had to get transferred to a specialist, who had to try and figure out what happened with his supervisor). They couldn't but said the programming team was starting to work on it

Have three $5 credits, went with Crysis 3, might go for Dead Space 3 since I didn't catch the Origin Humble Bundle.... I imagine there won't be a lot of great things added throughout the month. Hopefully I won't regret jumping on some things early.

Not the best promo, i have a bunch of 5 $ from buying Playstation content, which now i can use to buy ... PC games??
I don't understand this sentiment, you didn't know you would get something free when you bought it, you got something free from buying it, and now you complain that you got something free that is of no use to you? It's like when reviewers dock points off a single player game for having a tacked on multiplayer mode, the game would have gotten a better score for NOT including extra content.

Grabbed Dead Space: Awakened.

I'm hoping for Battlefield 4 Premium to go on sale. Probably not going to happen, though.

Sorry if this was already covered but does this mean that we can buy a $5 XBL code from the digital store and also get $5 back? I'm guessing not or else the gold rush would be on, but figured I'd clarify before I missed out. Thanks!

I should have pulled the trigger on the $5 B:I. I beat it on 360 but would love to play the DLC as I traded in my game shortly after release for $50.

Guess that's how good deals go. You dont jump on it while its glitched then you lose out
It was never confirmed as a price glitch, that one guy got it for $5, but he had extra credit from something completely different

These are the prices? These prices?
If you would read the thread you would see that most to the sales start tomorrow, and that they will change throughout the month. Plus it's not a sale so donC5 complains about not getting Black Friday prices on everything. It's just a promo they have where you can get some games for really good prices if you pay attention.

Well most of them haven't gone on sale yet, plus thus isn't ana actual sale like Black Friday or the Winter sales, it's just a promo where some games will have good deals.

No, the credits only work on what is on the Editor's Choice 2013 list, which is all PC games.

You still have the entire month for it to be added

It says right on the page that credits do not stack, plus more games will be added throughout the month.

HOLY CRAP, there is a button that says "Multiquote" right next to the one that says "Quote"

Please try it next time.

The list of games on the EC list just got a lot added to it! It was just posted in the main Amazon thread for those interested.

Edit: keep in mind this is still not the final list, more games will be added throughout the month

Kind of strange that SimCity is on this sale list.  I've not seen it on anyone else's best games of 2013.  I have heard it talked about as one of the biggest disappointments of the year.  I wonder if this list will expand over time?  So many great indies are absent here, and even great AAA games.

The list will change throughout the month, most deals only last for a few days, some last the whole month. Check the OP of the main Amazon PCDD thread for the full list so far.

"Editor's Choice" doesn't mean anything. It may have done originally (although I'm not sure about that), but it definitely doesn't now: they take whatever deals they're given... including the :bs: ones that are jacked $5 from the Christmas sale price.

If you would read the thread, you'd already have noticed that the prices going live tomorrow were posted before my post. But you have fun with posting whatever contrarian trivia you deem suitable in defense of digital downloads being sold by the world's largest online retailer.

Amazon Customer Service Reply:

"Hello,

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you had with the Order #----.

I've checked and confirm that you have required promotional credit to be applied towards this order.

However, as the credit wasn't applied, I've issued a refund for this order in the amount of $10.59. Once you receive the refund, please go ahead and place a new order for the game so that the credit will be applied for the game."

Yeah, sure. Now that BSI is $40, I'll get right on that.
