I'm really not the ogre that I might sometimes come off as when ripping into an anime I don't care for - actually, I'm quite the softie! Just remember, my criticism of a show should not also be interpreted as a criticism of those who like the show (unless explicitly stated, you damn Black Lagoon fans).

Mobile Suit Gundam Wing is AMAZINGLY AWFUL THOUGH! I practically grew up with DBZ and GW! And just because of the nostalgic value of GW and DBZ i had to go out and buy the entire set...no matter how awful the characters are (i especially remember one scene where they're looking at a computer screen and it's a user manual for Adobe Photoshop hahaha)

and damn...another off topic post for me...i need to stop o_O

same here. eventhough it was awful, it rly introduced me to anime, thus has a lil value to me. Gundam Seed on the other hand...:cry:

To bad I didn't have more money, I would have loved to pick up EL,Eva, & Noein, along with the Robotech I got. :cool:
Oh well, I have a feeling Robotech will last me a while, since it has 85 eps. :applause:
 
There's too many Evangelion releases, bleh. If I had known it would get re-released so many times, I wouldn't have bought the Perfect Collection and just waited, sigh.
 
is there a general link to all anime box sets on sale at amazon? I didn't see a link as such in the anime dvd section.

Eva is dead, but a few of them are still up and it looks like they have a larger selection of stuff. Witch hunter robin complete collection, for instance, is 23.49 on sale now. Its a needle in a hay stack right how though as I don't see any amazon links to a larger list.

Heh, you think that was a cheap shot...

I honestly thought the FMA anime was good up until Bones took over for writing the story. They threw in so many plotholes and contradictions it ruined a lot of the series for me. The manga is much much better (Manga Envy ftw). Some say the anime was so bad it was cancerous.

word em up. The FMA was good for the first half. Then it went completely stupid. the movie didn't make any sense either. Tried to be evangelion or something. The manga iis so much darker and sinister.
 
I have a question about BB returns - will they refund shipping? I thought I remembered them refunding it last time I got something shipped, but am not positive, and couldn't find it on their site. If they will, I'm ordering stuff from Amazon and returning everything else to BB for my $5 in tax+shipping (and don't give me a gas spiel, my g/f works near BB it would cost her nearly nothing to just stop in ;)).
 
I'd be very surprised if they refunded shipping unless they made a shipping error; though you're right, I can't find anything specific on their website either.

Yah, I figured it out in the Robotech specific thread. I had thought I was refunded shipping last novmeber because I couldn't imagine returning my online purchase and not getting shipping back to get it shipped from Amazon cheaper - but apparently that's what happened. Oh well, this was a good deal regardless of a few shipping and tax dollars.
