I was just visiting my girlfriend's town and I noticed that her trees are looking more green and slightly brown. She's never TT'd before, but last night she did set her clock back three hours last night and then set it back to what it was before this morning. Has anyone else had this happen to them before? Or are the trees getting greener because it's getting closer to Spring?

my trees changed today too... maybe they did yesterday, i only checked nooks real quick yesterday. anyway, they are different today, so i think its just because spring is coming.

man... i was in rolentos town and now it seems like im stuck saving, its just on the save screen "don't touch the power button"!! its been several minutes, im fairly certain its stuck. but im afraid if i turn off my DS my data will be corrupted and game lost (i dont know if i can handle starting over....) anyone had this happen?
 
as a follow up... i went ahead and turned off my ds. i guess the file was saved because i started up and hadnt lost anything. i am relieved.
 
So, I was just about to launch into a rant about the stupid "perfect town" status because today I went through my usual routine of culling out extra flowers (since I kept getting the "too many trees" message when the flowers spread too much). Then I went back to Pelly and she told me I "needed more green"! I couldn't freaking believe it.

So I went and moved a bunch of flowers around and found one area when I think I had 2 and one had died. Eventually I got it back to perfect and thought I'd have to start all over again (with the 16 days). Well, guess what, she then handed me the golden watering can! So, not only did not being perfect today not seem to cause a problem, but the time about a week ago when I got the "too many trees" message did not hurt me either.

Maybe it is because I fixed the town each day (about 3 or 4 times including the last day). It seems that maybe the day counts as one of the 16 in a row if it is made perfect for at least part of the day, or possibly just if it is perfect when you save and quit for the day.

So it isn't QUITE as hard as I had thought it was going to be.

I'm looking for somewhere to go, for some reason my time was fast-forwarded so now it's 2 AM and I can't rewind or my 300 turnips will die.

So if anyone's town gate is open, I would be glad to come and visit! Also if Tom Nook is buying turnips for a lot at your town, please let me know so I can sell these.

I'll be on for a little bit, so if anyone's available, let me know.

AC gets kinda old when you're playing by yourself. My laptop died and my computer has been dead for months so I won't be back for awhile. Anyway, I haven't been able to get the entire snowman set yet and spring is coming.

Sorry to hear about that - you didn't get to return the kitten to my town I guess because of that. Oh well... AC is kind of boring in the winter, but it will get a bit better in March. At least there will be more bugs and fish to catch.

I've got (almost) a few sets of the Snowman stuff - kept makin' em :D (one is going to my daughter). Now, if you aren't able to connect to wi-fi (or even if you are) you might as well just set your clock back a few weeks and try again for the set. I don't see a problem with that, if it keeps you interested in the game.
 
Finally got the Golden Axe yesterday. I hadn't seen Pascal for weeks and he finally turned up. Still maintaining perfect status, although Drift moved out last week :whistle2:(, to be immediately replaced by Buck. I'm wondering if that reset my perfect status. If not, then I should get the Golden Watering Can this Friday. We'll see!

Ann, I had about 3 animals move during my perfect status (as well as having Pelly tell me I had 'issues' that I immediately fixed). None of that mattered.

J/K, I'm sure it is just Nintendo Wi-Fi that keeps hosing up. It seems to have been particularly bad the last few days.

vesta moved, but yuka moved back in. yuka was one of my original neighbors, i like her because she always looks stoned. but this is a different yuka i guess, because she doesnt remember me.

I wondered about that - if you could get the "same" villager back, but it would be a different one (or who knows maybe the same one if you crossed paths again). That's interesting to know!

That's weird b/c I just lost Purrl and then got her back although it is definitely a different Purrl. She hasn't said which town she came from yet though.

io, I have that carpet you have been wanting if you are going to be on. I'll open my gates although I'll be playing RE4 for a while.
