Amazon: SMT: Devil Summoner 2 w/ plush $36.99

You would expect every GS store to get 5? I figured they would only get preordered copies (with many stores getting none). But I haven't been to GS since this came out so who knows, maybe they are overflowing.

Anyway, just wanted to chime in that Fry's also has them. I was just there yesterday and they had two out on the floor (in ridiculous security lock boxes sized just perfecly for the game ). The wierd thing, though: they were clearance priced at $34.74. So I decided what the hey and picked one up. I hadn't bothered to preorder or get it from anywhere else. That worked for me on the first one as I ended up getting it for $9.99 or so when it dropped everywhere (and before it got hard to find). I still think I way overpaid and will probably be able to get it much cheaper (especially without the plush) later. So I may end up returning it but I figured I might as well grab it while I was there getting other stuff anyway.

Edit - So i guess these are individually numbered? Just looked and mine says 16993 on the back. Sorry, haven't read through the whole thread ;).

My local GameStop had 6-8 laying around that anyone can purchase. They weren't for pre-orders at all. I personally bought 2 of them...
so I guess it's safe to say they made 40,000 of these. which is probably more than DS1 even sold LTD. "super limited"...atlus wins again.
I don't care if they made a million of them. I wanted the plushie and I wanted the game. fuck hoarders.
I didn't care for the original and I'm finding this a million times better so far.
So what made you decide to get this one if you didn't care for the original? Just curious.

As long as it's in stock right now, yes, every copy from everywhere will have the Raiho.

Liking this one a lot. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy fighting alongside my little demon friends.

The improvements over the original are well documented.

Greetings from Amazon.com.

Regarding the Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha versus King Abaddon Plush doll offer - Amazon.com was participating in this offer from the manufacturer and the Plush doll will be included in the specially marked packaging.

Quantities were limited. If your order does not contain the Plush doll, you may return it to Amazon.com.

thats the answer i got when they delayed the newer orders and was wondering if the later shipped ones would have the raiho plush

In the same boat, though I'm kind of on the fence if I care or not.

Atlus has said that copies without the plush DO NOT EXIST. So if you order it you get the plush. If it is out of stock then they are out and will have to wait for a possible game only reprint down the road.

^^^ What he said.

As mentioned earlier, odds are very good you will get the plush, until it appears out of stock for a while (i.e. weeks). That is an indication that the first run (launch copies) are exhausted. This has not happened yet. Someone will no doubt chime in here when it is the proper time to panic!

The slight (couple days) delays you saw earlier are likely due to Amazon still receiving shipments or moving items between warehouses. It takes a while to get 40,000+ items to where they need to be.

Note that Buy.com more clearly indicates the plush, and they have it for the same price + free shipping.

local gamestop had them with numers in the 50,000+. These things are far from limited. For all we know the made 60,70, 100,000 of these with plushie.

As far as I know 60k barrier has not been broken and my guess of how many copies are made. In reality when you consider the whole NA (USA and Canada), that's pretty dang limited. (Persona 3 and 4 sold around 1/2 a million each in comparison)

Mine arrived from Amazon in perfect condition yesterday. I preordered the first day the game was put up on Amazon and ended up with #36284. This seems to indicate that they just shipped them in large quantities to the warehouses, rather than trying to get them out in the order they were placed (which makes sense).

I hope there is a second run of the game only, as I'd like to keep this packaged sealed tight and displayed on a shelf. My backlog has me in no hurry to play it.
Mine came today, box was smashed and there was a rip in the packaging. Doesn't really matter since I'm not selling it.
It would matter to me. Mine just shipped and I plan on never selling it, but I don't want some crappy looking box in my house when I am entitled to one that is perfect. If it's damaged, it's going back.

The one I ordered from Buy.com arrived last Thursday, the Amazon one still hasn't arrived.

By the way, this is the best video game sequel I've ever played. I don't really care about the improved combat too much, I'm just thrilled with the return of demon negotiation, Fiends, and alignment system. Way more of a Nocturne vibe than I ever imagined.

I ordered on May 11th. and my box number was 14777.
fuck, I told myself I would play it but it's just too pretty to open.... but then again the potential profit I would get from resale is kinda tempting..... but it would not be much so I guess I'll just open it and play it anyway.

I have yet to receive my order of this game which I preordered it a while back... wth? If I don't get the bundle with that little doll I'm sending it back with more than it came with. IE dog shit, splooge, ketchup/mustard etc. I'll just complain that it was extremely unsanitary when I opened the package lmao.

I've had a lot of trouble with amazon lately. I ordered a used copy of Ico from their store with amazon 2 day shipping. It took about a week or longer to get here. They didn't use 2 day shipping. The good news here is that this supposedly used copy of Ico is actually a sealed copy of Ico. I can't really complain about that :)

I'm more interested in the game than the plushie. I preordered the game before they released a standalone version so if anyone wants to buy my unopened box copy PM me and I'll just go buy the disc.
Oh, and the number on the back of my game is 13643.

Just got mine yesterday and I was expecting to get it on the 27. I was actually surprised when I saw the amazon box in my mailbox. The number on my box was 13575.

Does anyone have any thoughts on reselling just the plush doll and outer box (not the game)? I just wanted the game and have absolutely no interest in the plush. I'm not too concerned about getting top dollar since it was free in the first place, but I don't know if it would be better to eBay it as soon as possible or hang on to it for a little while in case it becomes more valuable.

If anyone here is looking for an extra one, PM me.

I had second thoughts about the Golum gift set edition of the Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers Extended Edition DVD, so I kept the Extended Edition & Ebayed the rest of the gift set and made my money back. So I got the Extended Edition for free. I think it also helped that opened my auction to international buyers (the winning bidder was in Lithuania).

Selling to international buyers is a big risk though. If the buyer is shady and pulls an item not received/chargeback, you would lose your item, shipping cost and listing/final value fees, and possibly another $10 fee for chargeback...unless you have tracking for the international shipping (which usually costs a bomb and immediately put the buyer off).

Yeah, I was planning to make a comment about the risks of international shipping. I learned from one lesson back in 2001 about having international tracking at all times, and it never costs me more than an extra $2, of which the buyers have been happy to pay for.

/former power seller with 4-digit feedback

Edit: My bad. I meant I use the $1.15 Certificate Of Mailing. I had 4 disputes that ended up in my favor because I provided scans of those certificates to Paypal.

So the certificate of mailing is proof enough? I wanted to selll some of my games, and if a international bidder wins the auction I just want to make sure I don't get ripped off.

If it's through USPS, I think the only thing you can do for international shipping is that certificate. It makes sense since I doubt other countries' post offices will have the scanners needed to read the USPS delivery confirmation stickers. So that's basically your only choice.

wow...im amazed at how many people i've heard about (both here and off here) that aren't going to be opening their devil summoner 2s...i mean i have ONE solitary bundle to keep and sell way down the rd...but i really want to play this game once i complete the first one..is there ANYONE in here who isn't going to just let it collect dust on the shelf?

Played for about an hour last night. Really bizarre game! Not sure what to think yet. Persona 4 is definitely a more polished production, but this one has a unique look and feel.

I'd hang on to it and wait for a possible game only reprint from Atlus and then sell the plushie on ebay. I doubt you'd get much for it right now since all copies that are being sold come with the plushie.

I got mine today. While Raiho figure is up right, the over condition of the box is pretty bad. It's heavily scuffed up and it was really dirty for some reason.

Not exactly happy with how this turned out...:whistle2:|
