This shit is ridiculous. im probably just going to sell my Amiibos and give up. When you can't get a straight answer from nintendo or any retailers. I had everything preordered over a month ago and now I'm expecting cancellations. I don't have the energy to hunt down every single one of these.
 
I have Captain Falcon waiting for me on XMas.  Chasing down Pit (while hoping an in store and shipping order for BB go through).

I'll probably have extra Wave 2's depending on what gets canceled or not that I'd be willing to help out with when the time comes.

I've only opened stuff that I used from Mario Kart 8 as shown in the pic.  But just the top part enough to get the figure out then toss it back.  There's gotta be a better way to use these things and still have em display nicely in the box.

That and the fact that I'm new to the Atlanta area, so I'm enjoying learning where all the stores are. heh.

I haven't pre-ordered either. My only frustration with the whole thing is stores holding back stock, like this Captain Falcon/Target thing that several of us have run into. I suppose it's par for the course, but frustrating nonetheless, especially since I'm driving out of my way to hit up some of these stores...

Good on you, psunami. Some of us have lost the thrill of the hunt over the years. But it shouldn't necessarily be that way.

Meijer had tags for Pit, Captain Falcon, etc. but had non of them. Even missing figures like Link. Very low stock.
 
I wonder what TRU's ebay reviews will look like if they boned this stuff. Hundreds and hundreds of one star reviews...

I just got all the figs from wave 3 that I want preordered between Best Buy, Gamestop, and Target.

I wasn't accusing you of taking everything. I just wanted better chance. I went to one in the NW. 4 Diddy, 4 Zelda, 6 Luigi, no little mac, no cap falcon. I bought Luigi and extra Diddy for trade.

Looks like there are more Amiibo's on the West side of the city (I live Northeast,) and I wasn't going to head anywhere near the perimeter after 3:00 today.

Since these are all for me and not for my kids, I'll keep my eyes open and keep checking sites. Hell, I don't have Villager, Marth or Wii Fit Trainer at this point, so a complete set isn't looking likely. I'll just keep getting the figures that look good sitting on my desk.

 
Randomly checked Targets website for Captain Falcon amiibos. Available at one of them in the area. Drive 10 minutes. In that time my wife and I got one, a woman on the phone got one, and then another guy came up and "heard they got them in" They got 4 in. GONE

I haven't pre-ordered any of the amiibos yet *for wave 1 or 2* and in a way the hunt is the fun part of it.

PS. So far I have a full collection of wave 1 and 2 minus Pit. Still looking for him

Oh really if I known I had CAG in the area I would of worked with you that way I don't have to search all the time... That's why I returned my extra Lil Mac no one to trade that I thought needed it
 
I have been reading the thread on and off, but just wanted to report that my 2 Lucario pre-orders for in store pickup at TRU got cancelled.

Target in Clinton township, MI had falcon just about 30 minutes ago. I picked up one for my collection. There were 3 more. If my best buy pre order comes through I get to open one woohoo!
 
Earlier today I called Target and they said they had one Captain Falcon, the guy even said something about Wii Fit Trainer, but he read it off the tag or something. So he held Falcon and I got it no problem. The store had a bunch of Diddy, Luigi, and Zelda. No Pit or Little Mac. I am gonna try to get a Pit when they start appearing :D. Went to GS and got Fox for $8 with the coupon too.

Guys, your TRU preorders getting cancelled aren't actually being cancelled. There was some kind of glitch with their system that seems to have cancelled all preorders, or at least all game figure preorders. TRU said earlier they are going to send an email to everyone about it.

 
My Little Mac order from bestbuy just shipped, I should get it Monday. So far on whats been released only figure i'm missing is Villager. I have everything besides Rosalina pre-ordered thats been announced too. Hopefully I can trade one of my spare Shulks or Lucario for a Rosalina if I can't get one at release.

I hope that's true but I'll believe it when I see it. I'm more worried about the Pit I have on order than Lucario. Maybe Lucario will be more rare but he doesn't look nearly as cool as Pit.

I repreordered everything from TRU, sans Pit, and my order hasn't been cancelled after reordering. However, if you used a promo to get them such as 2 for 22 or B1G1 40% off, call customer service. They gave me a reference number to use when they ship to get the same or better promo credited back to me.

Hope that this helps some of you in the same boat I was in.
 
Guys, if you have any luck at Meijer, remember they have a 10% off coupon in the ad and MPerks. Saturday is the last day for this discount.
