Just got done at Deptford new jersey toys r us. Lots on toon link and browser. Got the last sheik. They got in lucarios but holding them till the 1st because of pre orders

Anyone have any idea how that'd work if you did pick up in store with gamestop? The order screen says you need to pick it up within 2 days, would that be within 2 days of their official release date or when they get them?

 
I'm on my work phone and cell phone on hold for two locations of TRU that I can swing by. Even though I have them pre-ordered at BB and TRU themselves, I'd pick these up in a heartbeat if they're easily available on the shelf, then return the pre-orders later if I decide not to keep one sealed..

so glad I have all of wave 3 pre-ordered between GS, BBY, and TRU. Hunting down Wave 2 was far too stressful.

Union NJ TRU had tons of Bowser and Toon Link, a handfull of Sheik (maybe 6 compared to 20+ on Link and Bowser) and four Lucario. I bought one of them and when I was trying to check out there was a problem with scanning it and a manager needed to come over to do something then on the radio called to the R'Zone to pull the rest of them.

So basically, if you buy a Lucario, you're screwing over someone who reserved a Lucario? Am I reading into this right or am I being too dramatic?

How long after the store opening did you arrive? That's concerting that one store would only have 4 units of a TRU exclusive.
 
Can anyone in the Nintendo World area check to see if they are putting out Wave 3's ?

With all the different TRU putting them out right now, maybe they will also. Unfortunately, my local TRU has not yet put them out ... They did say 1/30 tho... So who knows ?

Bullshit there isn't. I just went to my local TRU. Got as far as scanning the two I grabbed into the register. Big red box that halted the sale, advising of street date. Manager refused to let me leave with them, but was kind enough to write my name and phone number on both and guarantee me they were mine on release date.

 
They can implement their own street date if they feel like it, but Nintendo hasn't placed one with the retailers. Same reason Fred Meyers had them before other retailers in December. Nothing new here except who seemed to get them first this time around.

 
Just called my toysrus and they said they won't be getting any newer amiibos until the 30th. so the people who are getting them now, are lucky.

 
I'm not gonna bother - TRU is $1 more than everyone else for no good reason so I'd rather wait and see what supply elsewhere is like personally. Plus the couple I was actually able to preorder at Amazon includes Bowser, Toon Link and Sheik so I might have awhile before I even need to pick any up. (not counting Meta Knight)

I just got Bowser and Toon Link at TRU. No Sheik sadly. The guy working there knew a lot about Amiibos and is a collector. He told me Bowser and Toon Link are the commons for this wave and should always be around. They do have Lucario but he said they couldn't sell until the 30th. Also found out that Marth is scheduled to be re-released in March (probably around 3/10). He was a very nice guy.

Just picked these up at TRU. A couple of people were there talking amiibo who also picked them up. They sold out while I was there of Toon Link but still had a couple of Bowser and Sheik. They got Lucario in but only had enough for preorder. They couldn't sell any extra of him because they were street dated for 1/30.

Nothing is confirmed when it comes to Amiibos. Nintendo refuses to make any definitive statements on them beyond what the next wave contains. Remember how they wouldn't even announce which stores the exclusives belonged to? We didn't even know for sure that Target was the one getting Rosalina for weeks.
