And it seems that Saucy Jack has killed the OTT. Get this OTT a goddamn doctor!

Here's a bit of medicine: A BRAND-NEW SKETCH FROM THE STATE!!!!

Now if I could figure out how to do that media player thing here on the board.

Wrap that link in the Media tags. (the blue "M" on the control panel near the strikeout button, if you're using the full editor. [M EDIA][/M EDIA] tags otherwise. Without the spaces obviously.)
So far today I've eaten some cookies and a yogurt. Maybe I should have an actual meal ...
get a pound of ground beef and a taco seasoning packet plus other shit you need for burritos and you should be good for the whole day. Thats what I made today.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqUFKHop4ZM
I saw that yesterday. I thought it was fucking awful. Maybe if it wasn't my first exposure to The State, I'd "get" it.

jesus, just thinking about having to read Hemingway put me to sleep for 2 hours.

Even weirder, I was half asleep while my mom was watching Dr. Phil, and it fucked with my dream. The topic was "My Husband is Homosexual" and, since I played Mortal Kombat all week, dreamt I was watching a talk show where all the guests were MK Characters discussing the topic. One part I actually remember was Goro and Sheeva as guests and Kintaro as Goro's secret lover...

that was fucked up...

oh, and don't mention The Great Gatsby, we're reading that next...

...but I haven't lost all faith in reading yet: I picked up The Areas of My Expertise on Saturday. Amazing book

Evening, bitches. My first day back to work after an extended hiatus and what do I do? Oversleep and show up late.

And Saucy Jack got a new av. A pretty cute blonde to boot.

oh, and that The State sketch sucked, and look at David Wain. The end of Stella must have fucked him up pretty bad, just look at that five o'clock shadow
Anyone have to read "Of Mice and Men" in school? I did, and it's the one book I enjoyed.
Yeah that is a solid book. You can't go wrong with the Malkovich movie version either.
Anyone have to read "Of Mice and Men" in school? I did, and it's the one book I enjoyed.
I read it and did enjoy it. Then again, I had good English teachers that seemed to give books for me to read that actually weren't complete crap.

Man, all my assigned reading books were Goosebumps and Hardy Boys. I've never even heard of half these authors.

I read Of Mice and Men, as well. It was pretty good. I've also read Grapes of Wrath (okay), Death of a Salesman (don't remember it being good), and not much else that was good.

These carpet cleaning people are late and I don't have the time to wait for them. They're supposed to call beforehand, but I haven't gotten a single call today. I'm guessing that the lady that took down my info messed something up since she mentioned some kind of issue with hearing me on the phone. I guess if they don't come I'll just call them again later this week to get them to come back down here.

we had to read a lot of john steinbeck. He's from my hometown Salinas. They have a statue of him smoking a cig in front of the john steinbeck library. Also I lived pretty close to his house.
So far today I've eaten some cookies and a yogurt. Maybe I should have an actual meal ...
Nah, meals are for suckers.

Don't get sick, though.

Yeah, it's not that great at all, but I just thought it was so cool that everyone could get together and make a little commercial for the iTunes Season 1 release.

I'm going to get you hooked on that show and make you weird like me.

Evenin'. Yep, a beautiful and very talented blonde... one of my heroes. :)
oh, and that The State sketch sucked, and look at David Wain. The end of Stella must have fucked him up pretty bad, just look at that five o'clock shadow
Yeah, the "sketch" (commercial is more like it) did suck a bit. It's just something that everyone put together in a few minutes of spare time. Still, it's cool to see all of them put something together for the iTunes release. The world needs more greatness like "The State" and "The Kids in the Hall" and so on.

David Wain's actually been keeping very busy, just like everyone else from The State. He probably didn't have time to shave before this, or he just kept his face that way for the effect.
Man, all my assigned reading books were Goosebumps and Hardy Boys. I've never even heard of half these authors.
goosebumps were awesome back in the day. As an adult I don't think I've read any books. Well I am currently reading The Alphabet of Manliness but I don't think that really qualifies as a book.

I'll never understand why, like, 40% of Michigan-born people have slack-jawed, straight-up Southern accents.

... Wait. I do understand, actually.
Is that what's on the menu for dinner?

Seriously, what's up, dude?
Nope, looks like I'll be staying in and maybe having some pb&j for dinner.

Just another night alone. fucking cat. That little bitch (and it's owner) will be out of there in the morning, but that does me no good tonight.

You're going to start crapping peanuts soon.

That sucks, man. Sorry to hear that. If it's any consolation, feel free to bug SJ and the other cool CAGs. :)

One of your heroes? I can't say I have many heroes. But that's just because everybody keeps letting me down

What's even better than Goosebumps were the Fear Street books.

I've never really had a "hero". Sure, I've admired certain people, their character, or their achievements, but nothing like a "hero".

I've gone weeks where I had pb&j at least once a day, often twice.

Oh, I'll be sure to. What the fuck else do I have to do?

Someone convince me to buy an Xbox 360. But remember, money's not really an object with my next-gen purchase.

Stupid decisions...

After a few months of drinking, I think I've finally found my preference with coffee: no sugar, lots of cream. Now I'm on a wikipedia binge that started with coffee. Interesting stuff here, like how thousands of people were executed when the Ottoman Empire banned coffee

Saucy Jack, it appears that you and have the same taste in comedy as I love The State, Reno 911!, Stella, Kids in the Hall. It's awesome that The State is going to iTunes, too bad I don't have an Ipod. Also, I asked in the lunchbox topic, but is that Wendi McClendon-Covey as your new avatar?

Also, could someone check to see if www. funtrivia.com works for them? I've been trying to get to it for the last few days and it appears to be down. So I'm curious as to whether or not it's my computer.

Well, I've always had heroes... from all walks of life. The ladies in my avatar and sig are two of them, for several reasons.

I know the feeling of being let down so much. Sometimes I wonder why I bother with anyone.

But there's another group of heroes of mine that I met growing up... and unfortunately their lives were cut way too short... and they've inspired me to keep on.

I can understand what you mean about heroes. And with this messed up world we live in, it's tough to find admirable people.

I suppose I'm the same way with chicken breasts. I seem to eat that at least once every other day, if not several days in a row.

Anyway, here for you, dude. :)

Cool! Nice to meet another person that appreciates greatness. :D

You don't need an iPod actually. You can watch the shows on the computer through the iTunes program. Unfortunately, I'm not purchasing them. I will only do that with a DVD, even if all the music is replaced. I'll show my support that way. Besides, I've dropped so much money on The State, Reno, Stella, KitH, etc. by buying all their works and watching all the projects they appear in.

Sorry. I just checked the lunchbox topic and answered you there. Yes, it is the lovely and talented Wendi McLendon-Covey. :)

That Fun Trivia website works for me.

I just got mine a couple of weeks ago and it seems worth it IMO. I did not like the Xbox (mainly because of the hardware issues I had and Live not seeming like it was worth the cash), but the 360 seems like they put a lot more work into it instead of just throwing PC parts together and calling it a console. The interface is a really nice touch and the marketplace is a great addition.

The only real problem I have is the lack of backwards compatible games. There are quite a few I would really like to play and several would fill in holes in the lineup of the 360 (specifically the lack of fighting games).

I loved Grapes of Wrath, that was required reading in my twelth grade Great Books II class.

Just back from the gunshop with a new Lee Enfield .303 as well as a new 91/30 Mosin Nagant. I had one already, but this baby has a cherry red, almost flawless finish, hex reciever and three-digit serial number.

All for $200. The Enfield was on sale for $85.. I creamed my pants when I saw the price tag.
I enjoyed The Great Gatsby. I just hated the ending. It was just so... meh.
WHAT!?

the ending is fucking boss! that is some sad sad sad shit.

I have 4 tests in the next 2 days...shit.
Pre-Cal and AP Statistics tomorrow followed by AP Physics and my US History class through the local community college on Wednesday

fuck

I ate fast food today for the fist time in 6+ months. I feel like I swallowed pure grease. Now I know why I quit eating fast food altogether. making good food at home doesn't take a lot of time. Just some extra effort. I think I'll keep pumping out the extra effort.

Depends on the fast food. Subway of course won't give you that greasy taste, but any burgers or fries or whatever will give you that feeling that you just pumped yourself full of shit.

I, however, am a big fan of the Taco Bell / Del Taco burrito. Cheap and filling. :)
