Well, I FINALLY got home from Raw a little over an hour ago. Glad to see my CAG sign was visible. Thanks for the great suggestions but I just didn't have time to make anymore. I would have loved to used "HHH fears CheapyD". Someone had one off to the side that read "Mr. Stephanie McMahon". There were also 3 idiots 2 rows in front of me who couldn't stop waving to themselves on the Titantron. Here's the best part, though. There was a dark match after Raw went off the air. Bischoff came out and told HHH not to go anywhere and said that there will be a tag match tonight before he leaves. Bischoff went for the cheap pop by saying Atlanta, which was funny since we were almost 30 minutes north of Atlanta. He then announced HHH's partner as Edge. Then he announced Batista's partner as Shawn Michaels. HHH didn't want to get in the ring w/Batista so Dave and HBK started calling him chicken and doing chicken movements w/their arms. Since HHH wouldn't take the tag Edge joined in w/the taunting. Later on Flair interferes causing, that's right, Jake Roberts to come out to the ring w/the snake out of the bag. He put the snake on Flair who took off running. Eventually Batista pinned HHH. Then Roberts DDT'd HHH and put the snake on him. HHH started to recover when Roberts put the snake in his face causing HHH to quickly turn around right into the superkick. This was one of the best episodes of Raw that I've seen in a long time and not just because I was in the arena. When Raw was here last year The Rock, Stone Cold and Mick Foley stayed in the ring for almost a half-hour after they went off the air talking w/the crowd, goofing around and just having a good time. It seems we always get a little something extra when Raw comes to town. BTW, I also saw Steve Lombardi (The Brooklyn Brawler) and Harvey Wippleman (Downtown Bruno for the old-schoolers) at Chick-Fil-A before the show. I talked to them for a couple of minutes, seem like nice enough guys.
Damnit, why can't they show matches like that?
The reason for this match was so HHH and Batista could work in the ring before Wrestlemania. They'll probably do this after a couple more Raw's and some house shows. From what I saw it just confirms what I already suspected-that their match will be just terrible. I have no idea why people pop for Batista.
Is this it?

Sorry for the quality, I took a picture of my TV with the camera. I thought it actually came out pretty good for this.

That was me! Gotta show love for CAG!

Benjamin really put on a great show with Edge on RAW. That match stole the card. They really need to find someone besides Snitsky to go for the IC title, because after last night you can really tell how badly that guy's holding back Benjamin in the ring.

With Edge still getting the "you screwed Matt" chant(he got it from the crowd when they went to commercial). I'm wondering if we'll see a "Edge loves whores" sign, which would be bashing what's happened lately, but be funny to see on TV.

Oh, bleh. The WWE chooses to use Gene Snitsky, so they suffer any consequences, knowing full well he's an awful wrestler.

Perhaps it's their version of "fat person syndrome" (wherein you appear skinnier, because you're standing next to people fatter than you are). In the case of Gene Snitsky, however, he suffers from *every* goddamn side-effect of anabolic steroids to such an extreme, the rest of the WWE (HHH, Benoit, etc.) look purely tame by comparison).

myke.

Snitsky has backne. You can see it 10 rows back. :puke:

shaq-fu Wrestlemania 21. Some Gamestops are now claiming an April 18th release date. The sites still say March, though.
Yep, it's been confirmed. April 18th. THQ has given this date, and now Gamestop is saying it as well.

shaq-fu buying this game.

http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product_id=B210719A
Well, since I scheduled my thesis defense for April 4, this is good for me now. I won't have as much temptation to fuck off and play WM21, since I won't have it.

I also realized that I have tickets (my family does) and offered to take me to see the Reds wallop the Chicago Cubs on opening day (sorry RawisJericho). The game starts 15 minutes after my schedule ends. Should I try to go or not?

myke.

Hopefully Dick Cheney or some similar such slimy figure won't toss out the first pitch - politics aside, what the fuck does that fat bastard have to do with the Reds (or baseball)?

myke.
...fuck man, am I stoked about this year...back to wrestling, though.

Consider them sold.

Let me know if anyone sees the Yokozuna Classic Superstars. I'm all about some Yoko. I have Bret Hart from Series 1 (opened, unfortunately), and Dude Love from Series 2 (definately did not open).

//Scorch wants to see various Owen Hart gimmicks in the Classic Superstar line up. I'd buy two of each version.. NOD, KoH, Black Heart, Rocket.. you know they'll never make another Blue Blazer figure.

If you guys haven't checked out this guy's site on Owen Hart, do so.

http://homepage.mac.com/knarley/owenhart/owen.html

He's got pictures from the event and Owen (RIP) laying in the ring, which is sorta tasteless but no different than newspapers publishing pictures as he lay in the ring. I do have this PPV on tape, but I cannot watch it. I've tried to quite a lot but I usually have to stop it or fast forward through the Owen part. Not out of disrespect, I loved the guy.. it's just too damn hard to watch. Stuck in my head forever.. "They're giving him external heart massage".. and hearing Lawler completely break his heel announce character when he came back.. "It.. doesn't look good at all, JR.." just.. man. And of course, JR's haunting death announcement.. nothing wrong with it, just the way he said it, the surrealness of it all.. hard to believe it's going to be six years. Raw the night after was fucking awful.. not the matches or anything, just hard to watch, I remember crying like a bitch (I had met Owen a few months prior, shook his hand, got a picture made with him, got his autograph, etc). I took the tape over to a friend's house who hadn't been paying attention and HE started crying.. that was bad on me as well, 'cause this dude was huge (not fat, just tall and pretty big built).. it was a shock to see him cry and really hit home.. Mark Henry's poem.. man. Okay. Time to get my mind off of that night. Hey, Spongebob Squarepants is on.

Just finished watching the parts of Raw that I didn't watch monday. I don't know why, but when Trish was attacking Maria. Maria didn't sound like she was getting beat up, it sounded like something else :whistle2:k

That's what you get when you hire girls that can't act.

Yeah, Maria can't wrestle, but you should see her box.

I remember not paying attention at that moment, and turned around, half expecting to see some Shannon Tweed movie on television.

Shame it turned out that way, b/c Trish was giving her one *hell* of a beating. The way she flew into the trash cans (I rewinded the segment) was just awesome.

myke.
...I had a second job for most of last year; one of the employees told me that his brother was the boyfriend of the diva search contestants, Maria. I wonder how much longer that relationship lasted?

I was just looking throught the roster that THQ has setup on the wrestlemania 21 site. WTF, how did Garrison Cade get in there? He hasn't been on TV for 10 months.

Who knows.. why is Gail Kim on the roster? She was fired a while ago..

I am still kind of shocked the game lacks Stone Cold, exp. since he is coming back at Wrestlemania

I was at that Raw. I was crying when they were doing the 10 bell tribute with all of the wrestlers comming out at the beginning.

..for an interview

I'm guessing that the superstars that are in it, signed up around June. Which explain why Carlito isn't in it and why some that have been MIA or fired are in it.

I just hope we don't have to put up with Muhammed Hassan coming out and complaining that he isn't in it  .

While I'm thinking about it, if anyone has the Raw is Owen show on tape, could you make a copy of it for me? I couldn't find anyone to record the show for me that night, and I would like to have a copy of it.

I could do it. I could bundle the PPV and RiO on one tape, actually.

Finally watching last week's Raw.. aw, Jake. Man. Jake, you've really let yourself go..

Scorch's secret confession: Scorch likes Showdown: Legends of Wrestling and plays it all the time. Once Scorch learned the controls, Scorch had a blast. Jake the Snake vs. Lawler right now, I'm Jake (of course)..

*raises hand and spins finger in a circle*

You know what he has been doing since he left the WWF last time. Heroin, alcohol, not paying child support, and in court in England over animal cruelty that let to the death of Damien.

To be correct, he is a crack head.

I've never seen a junkie/heroin user who weighed more than 110 lbs. Jake looks like he enjoys his dinner. Thus, I would deduce that he's not a heroin user.

myke.
...I'll repeat myself: he may look like shit, but the fact that he's living is incredible.
Damn, the Undertaker is walking slow as hell in his intro. It reminds me of the gimmick battle royal when the Iron Shiek was walking down to the ring.
His age is really getting to him, notice that he's getting gray in his sideburns? I can see why he's going to be retiring soon.

Could you imagine Taker wrestling at the same age Flair does? *shudder*

At least Flair's Flair Flop will always be entertaining though. :p

I knew it was one of those drugs, and I agree that fact that he is still alive is pretty amazing. And back with the WWE for the time being is pretty amazing as well.
you guys see beyond the mat ? they discuss his drug addiction in it. If you havent seen it go and get it now.
They also show him getting his fix in the bathroom.

I hope they make another documentary like this in the future. I really enjoyed Beyond the Mat.
