The old thread hadn't been updated in quite some time, so I decided to make a new one. If you happen to see a sale not listed in the OP, go ahead and post it and I will be sure it's added. The same goes for anything listed that has expired as most sales have no set time frame, let me know and I will remove expired sales. Thanks!

Oh, sweet. Thanks for finding that. Actually, do you know if Reddit is a good source for game deals? I know there's a subreddit for it. Is it worth it to follow both CAG and Reddit?

Another Kemco RPG is on sale for .99, Alphadia Genesis - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kemco.execreate.alphadiagenesis
This one is very recent, having been released just over a month ago. The production values are some of their best yet with improved graphics, (Japanese) voice dubbing, and most impressively, 3D battles. The user interface is very friendly allowing for touch controls and button controls - the latter which you can move around on your screen as you see fit. The app needs to download additional data, which you can install externally to an SD card - a feature which I wish more games had. I haven't played a lot of the game yet, but the writing is also improved with notably less grammatical mistakes and less Engrish. So far I'm enjoying the game.

The Sims 3 is also on sale for $1.99. Has anyone played this on Android? How does it hold up compared to its meatier PC and console counterparts?

Here is tthree things I found on Amazon App Store looking through my Google Play wishlist:

Powerpuff Girls: Defenders $0.99 ($3.99 on Google Play)
Thanks for the head up on that, had that on my wishlist on Google play as well!

Looks like its a cartoon network sale on Amazon, most CN games are down to $0.99!

Cartoon Network Sale

The two that Im primarily interested in are

Monsters ate my Birthday Cake

Calling all Mixels

I know monsters ate my birthday cake was just released and was $4.99. If you didnt get Adventure time Card wars, thats all on sale as well!

Im really glad Amazon is PMing and doing these sales, its nice to have a reason to spend all these Amazon coins I have. Plus I got my Kindle Fire back, so I have more reason to use them now.

Bought that Alpadia Genesis game because I'm OCD about needing to collect all the Kemco games (when they go cheap) for some reason that I can't quite figure out.

Hope this one is a little less meh than the rest. It looks nicer at least.

It's way watered down but it's Sims on your phone for $1.99. It's not going to be the same thing as someone who spent $200+ to get 12 expansions and stuff packs with 40gb worth of stuff.

It's okay for what it is for the price it's just very, very basic.

It's not on sale any more, but I finally got around to reviewing Steve Jackson's Sorcery! And I even played through both games to make the most comprehensive review you can get. Please check it out.

Double checked on the app since it was the website I saw that $2.39 price on, and yup, def not free.

Just bought Alphadia Origins & Deus Ex The Fall on the gplay summer sale, looking for another 99 cent gem but nothing is standing out...

The same Lone Wolf game offered in the Humble Bundle is free on google play.

(hmm. it says Act 3 available for purchase in game. Maybe this is just Act 1 & 2?)

The Lone Wolf on Google Play is just Acts 1 & 2. You can purchase the Season Pass for Acts 3 & 4.

The Lone Wolf in the current Humble Bundle includes all Acts.

FYI, the buy 1 get 1 for 25% off sale on gaming cards at Target ends tonight. Signage shows that Google Play cards qualify for the deal but won't ring up that way. I was able to get a manager to do an override earlier today and got two $10 cards for $17.50.

Free movie on Google Play.

"A Fairly Odd Summer"

I saw someone on SD posted a few apps on sale on Google Play. I guess its part of the "Google Play Summer Sale". I'm not sure where you find that.

Notable: Strategy & Tactics:USSR vs USA is only $0.15
Some good reviews on that.

"O yeh gurl You know when drake and josh :) yeah good movie 90 outta 1.80"

Here is tthree things I found on Amazon App Store looking through my Google Play wishlist:
Space Invaders Infinity Gene $0.99 ($4.99 on Google Play)
I noticed that a while back when trying to spend up that $5 promo before it expired, and I have to question if the Amazon version is legit as the author is "SOLA STUDIO" and not "TAITO Corporation."

Looking at what else "SOLA STUDIO" made me even more suspicious and not bother.

Grabbed Monsters ate my bday cake for 99 cent @ 'zon.

I wanted it on Steam, but it's predictably overpriced there because hey it's a PC game now so Android version will have to do for now.

That's one good thing about Square's games, they're priced so high already for the mobile version that when they actually do port it to the PC you don't feel like you are getting bent over when they charge you $15 or $20 for the same thing that's on mobile. :p

Has anyone played this? Curious what the controls are like and if they feel like a hindrance at all.
I would definitely recommend it especially for the price. I prefer using my Moga controller to using touch controls although they work well in a pinch. Rubbing your finger across the screen is a bit of a hindrance in shmups.

RPG Alphadia Genesis $0.99 on Amazon

Deus Ex: The Fall $0.99 on Amzon
Meh, I decided to take a shot and buy Alphadia on Amazon, but sure enough it's another damn Kindle-only app. Won't even show up on my download list on my Android.

Tony really needs to buckle down on expanding the compatibility like I thought he said he was gonna...

Avoid anything by SOLA STUDIOS

I don't have a Moga but would like one if I could find one around $10. I'd be simply touching and rubbing for now.

IGN is offering The Walking Dead Season 2, Episode 1 on iTunes for free (normally $4.99)

http://www.ign.com/prime/promo/walkingdead-2-free

It's always been free on Android.

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=bl_sr_mobile-apps?_encoding=UTF8&field-brandtextbin=Telltale%20Games&node=2350149011

https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Telltale%20Games&hl=en

Also, I noticed this free kids games in the Special Discount section on Amazon.

The Adventures of Patch - $2.99 Free

It seems to be free on Google Play as well.

Pretty fun. It shoots for you you navigate by sliding back and forth to avoid fire. Worth a buck without a doubt. Do note I played on a tablet. I imagine it would be very cramped on a phone.

They were giving Steam keys out for the entire season for free to Prime members but they only had a limited number and must have run out. This is sort of the booby prize for those who weren't fast enough.

*Edit: I guess maybe they are still doing the Steam keys. Looks like the page says something about uploading them every Tuesday or some such. Anyway iOS 'deal' is still pretty lame for just the first episode.

Thanks. I didn't know about the free Steam keys for IGN Prime members.

Here's the link to that if anyone else is interested.

Hopefully someone can help. What is the best way to hook up a controller to a note 3? I read that you can use a ps3 controller but I'm not sure what else I need. Thanks

It's kind of a pain honestly.

You need to be rooted and you need an app which is a paid app. There is a compatibility checker app though that's free to make sure you can run it before you buy it so try that first.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Dancing%20Pixel%20Studios

If you can find an actual Android controller like MOGA or something like that on the cheap though that might be an easier option.

I just tried it on my Note 2 (4.3 stock rom with Touchwiz; not rooted) and my HP Touchpad (4.4 Cyanogen mod; rooted) and it's not finding the PS3 controller as bluetooth device.

I'm going to go with it being a YMMV thing or possibly something specific to the Asus transfer tablet. *shrug*

What's everyone's opinion on a Samsung Tab 3? My mom wants to get a tablet for school and was looking at that one
I have one. If I didn't get it for free, I'd have trouble recommending it at all. Aside from the con of a fairly weak BT radio, it's mediocre at best in almost every category as far as I'm concerned. It's OK, for free.

I'd recommend the Nexus 7 (2013), I've used it for a while and like it very much. It comes up cheap on slickdeals regularly. I also liked my (2012) Nexus 7 as well.

+1 on the nexus, if your looking for a 7in android it doesnt get much better than that

If you want bigger you could look at the tab pro and tab S both in 8.4. The pro is down to like 320 now and has almost the same specs as the tab S except for the lower res screen, non amoled, and some less ram.  GF's original nexus 7 crapped out a few months ago and she went for the tab S but almost went for the pro, she likes the 8.4 since its still small enough for one handed use but of course larger screen

I didn't realize that Republique had come out on Amazon a few weeks ago. Looks like it's Kindle Fire only. Not on the Play Store, but that'll probably change in a few weeks.

Optimistic chap, aren'tcha? If it's Kindle only it'll probably stay that way. There are loads of games on Amazon that only play on Kindles, even though they have versions that play just fine on other devices (available on Play).

I think the "that'll probably change" refers to the "not on the play store" part.

I've been trying to play through those Alphadia games lately. I guess they're kind of okay for casual mobile bite sized jrpgs. It's something to do when I don't feel like sitting at the computer.
