ironic thing is, this game makes me want to play the ds game more than it wants makes me want to play the wii game.

i guess the thing is, i want to sell high. i just foresee this patter of playing every few days, rather than every day like i did with the WW.

What's the deal with the silver shovel? Is it better than the gold one? I don't get it - I thought the normal one was silver-like, and then you bury it and get a gold one. What am I missing here?

the gold makes money trees, but the silver one lets you knock more money out of rocks.

I personally think the silver shovel would be more useful. It's not like you have to choose though. I'll probably just leave my gold shovel in storage until I need to use it, and do my everyday work with the silver.

EDIT: Nevermind i found out how.

For the first time in a western Animal Crossing game, you can visit him in City Folk. By entering the City at around 8pm, the cones at the right of the City will part allowing you to enter. There you can find either him (Resetti) or his brother Don, whoever is there will give you a Silver Shovel. There is no set day for this to happen, it happens at random. Sometimes whilst visiting Resetti, you can hear Dr. Shrunk's comedy act and the animals laughing.

I have 3 questions.

1. I just paid enough to get the extra bridge, and there were 2 selection spots, is the one i picked going to win for sure? Because the location i picked is where its really needed, the other area i could put it had another bridge 10 feet away.

2. There is a house that a user can move into right where i want to build the new bridge and its in the way. I thought i saw somewhere asking if i wanted to demolish a house, but now i cant find it. Is there really that option?

3. When you get a basement, can you actually use wallpaper or carpets in them this time? I didnt like how you couldnt use them in AC for GC.
 
I have the Silver Shovel, and it does give you more money in a rock, BUT not that much. I think I just made 8,900 on a rock. Meh, stil free monies.

So, like.. is the City really just what it is? It's neat that you can go visit Mr Resetti and his lover brother, but that's random. What about the other side? The gates that lead to a tunnel. Nothing, right?

What about that broken down wooden house that Kicks sits in front of? Nothing, right? My first thoughts when I saw that was "I bet after soooo many shoe signs, he'll have all this money and turn this place into something".. but, that doesn't seem to to be the case.

The game IS Animal Crossing, and that's why I love it..but the "City Folk" aspect is kinda lame. The auction house is neat and Gracie's is just insane but I love it :lol:...but there's really nothing to do :whistle2:s

Oh well.

I gave my town hall 200,000 bells and they just said thanks.. Is that the right number? How do you know you are getting the bridge?

I had to wait till the next day and the message board said there was going to be a new bridge and to vote on it at the mail office building.

Damn so i cant demolish a house that no one lives in? :bomb:

Nope. You can use them for, say, hide and go seek, but that's about it.
 
I wouldnt even mind if they put the empty house somewhere else than where it was if i wanted to destroy it. Its right where the bridge would be and its not a good place. But then again i didnt want two bridges right next to each other. :bomb:

Is there any option to move to another town? LOL. Ill pack up my fruit, tools, and make a new town.
 
I've been wanting to make a new town but my mom and bro don't agree. The town layout is not that great, very hard to catch fish sometimes.

Yes you can. I'm using my basement for my Mario items. I have the cannon, ? block, brick block, wallpaper, and super mushroom. Also displaying some of my other favorite items there like a giant pink panda, a modern bed, hybrid flowers, and my watermelon table and chairs (which make a disturbing noise when you sit on them :cry:).

My Gates are open.

I literally have HUNDREDS of peaches at my gate. PLEASE take them. Only condition I ask.

1. Bring some of your non-peach fruit to my town.
2. Plant the fruit yourself. Why? My charm for the month. (Which is better for you anyways. You get more items in your town.)


Otherwise you can be a mooch and take my peaches. They benefit you guys more than me. I'll be afk for awhile.
 
my gates are open too (mostly for Strell), but i'm AFK.

Lots of tree trunks to catch Violin Beetles, peaches, cherries, apples, and coconuts.

It looks like it might start raining in my town at any moment. There are a lot of clouds and it is very gray, which is how it looked the last time it rained.

It is currently snowing in my town as of 6:20 PM CST. Coelacanths supposedly come out in the snow until 9 PM.

So about 2.5 hours if anyone wants to drop by.

I'm most likely AFK, but perhaps not.
 
Lol, I leave for like 3mins and there's 3 visitors. My gates are open for now until someone in Strell's town leaves. Also, it is no longer snowing there.
 
I'm confused on how to catch a violin beetle. Are you supposed to cut a tree down, and if it's not on the stump, try again? Or do you cut a tree, leave the stump there, and it will randomly spawn on the stump?

They randomly appear on tree stumps- like mantis appear on flowers.

I just cut down all the trees i know i want to replace, and left the stumps there for a few days to collect a bunch and sell. It helped that most of the stumps were near nooks (quick cashing).
 
BTW, a few days ago I got a Shopping Card from adding like 10,000 bells into my savings account. What do I do with this card ?

Ah, okay. I've been taking out the stumps... well, that was a waste of time. Time to look for violin beetles and neon tetras tomorrow. =d

I didn't do this. I don't know why Filler thinks I whistled for a cab and when it came near, the license plate said Fresh and there was a dice in the mirror, in if anything I could say that this cab was weird but I thought naw forget it yo home to Bel Aire!
