Animal Crossing: City Folk - Gen. Discussion and info

The hell? My son bought turnips Sunday and put them in his house. They were rotten today. I set the clock on Sunday at a fixed time that matches the Wii clock and haven't touched it since (and just checked it and it is OK). What the hell happened? At least he only bought 1 bundle. And it is DAMN lucky that Filler had those 500+ turnips on Sunday night because I'd hate to think how violently I'd break the disc if that had happened to all the ones I bought at the same time ;).
 
Why'd they have to make getting Snowman items so much harder in this game? Seriously, I've made 6 Snowmen, and I've only gotten 1 Snowman item.

Turnips rot instantly if you TT even for just a few minutes.

This keyboard is working great! So much better than pointing at the screen... and cordless too! Awesome. Logitech EX110, if anyone missed my earlier post. You can get it from Radio Shack until the 20th for $19.99 AR ($29.99 before rebate), so it's a cheaper option than buying Wii Speak... if the rebate comes.

that keyboard looks nice. Why cant Circuitcity.com sell it, thats where i have 10 dollar gift card. :bomb:

I took a picture of the two snowballs before I put them together. I got a perfect snowman so maybe this will help people who are having problems.

I messed up my first three snowmen, but this really helped me out a lot to get the proportions right. I've had all perfect snowmen since I read that.

Dig the stumps up with the shovel. But remember you can plant fruit where a tree used to be and it will grow 100% of the time.

I'm pretty sure I did that before we bought any turnips. Even if I did it afterwards I also had turnips and they did not rot (sold mine Sunday night at Filler's). I'm 100% sure I did not adjust the clock at all after that, so I don't see why his rotted and mine didn't. Also, I had turnips sitting on my floor all last week and didn't sell them till Friday night I think and I adjusted the clock a ton last week (nothing major, just a few hours on any given day).

I hear you - but I remember one of the coolest things I did was travel to someone's town that was set to summer. It's like going to the southern hemisphere ;). You certainly aren't going to catch everything from that season anyway so you just get a little sneak peek. So, Filler, let me know next time you are on!

So I paid off the final 85k on my 3rd Mortgage today, and although it cost me more than half of my deposit, I'd say it was worth it considering Nook's will be closed tomorrow for Construction. I guess that means Nook won't send the dogs to my door tomorrow night at least.

Paying off the 3rd mortgage gets me another floor, right?

I blew 150 hours into this game in like 3 weeks....staying in the same time frame is just boring now...

Turnips are 230 here i believe. But my gates are frozen shut.

Finally Tiffany had all her boxed packed and ready to move out. YES! Now i hope i get a cool new villager. One that i dont have already. I hate when you end up with like 3 birds. Give me some variety.

Ive tried to cross breed flowers. And ive noticed some NEW flowers where they werent before. But they are always the same color. White, red, Yellow. I mean how many cross breed colors can you get from that? Just orange. Why didnt they make flowers Red, Green, Blue so we can get more than just orange as a new color. Or is that not how it works?

Man, my place is an aviary. Two penguins, an eagle, and two ducks. Half my entire population, excluding people like the Able Sisters/Tortimer. .... But that would leave out Pelly and...the other one too. Hmmm.

Point is that I have plenty birds.
 
The most i have is 2 frogs, Lily and Frobert. Well i had 2 bunnys till Tiffany decided to move out. I hope i get something like a cat. Tabby, Ankha, Kabuki. Wouldnt mind a Crocodile or a Dog. The Gorillas look cool. I would most likely want a white tiger. Thats like my favorite animal.

I dont want a bear, unles its Poncho. Had him in the Gamecube version. Dont give me an anteater, Bird, Chicken, Duck, Eagle, Frog, Mouse, Octopi, Ostrich, Penguins, Pig, Rabbit, or Sheep. LOL

Is anyone else finding gyroids even though it hasn't rained? Turnips are 140.

I had like 2 horses and 2 pigs until Ed the horse moved out. I'm glad I got Walker, he's the only one I really like. In my wild world town I have 7 dog villagers :cool:
 
Oh yeah i forgot i made a date to visit mints house at 11:30pm. Ill bring protection just in case. ;)

Do i have to be in her house at 11:30, or enter right at 11:30?
